This dump has closed. Worst unprofessional service I have ever experienced. Miserable owner. I had a appt scheduled for today, which I had made like 6 weeks ago. I show up and the place has gone out of business. Being a Groupon customer, I guess its no surprise. She was always bitter about Groupons. Whatevs, I had one laser hair removal session left, after which I would NEVER have returned anyway.

Unfortunately, I won’t be returning to Sonah. I had been here before, and had a great treatment. I decided to return for a microdermabrasion and facial when I saw a Groupon that was a killer deal. Apparently, Groupon customers will get treated differently.(Read: will get treated like you’re stealing the service from Sonah!) For some reason I had in my mind that my appointment was at 11 am when it was actually at 10. Kelly from Sonah called about 10:05 and I was shocked when she told me I was supposed to be there. She was extremely rude. I repeatedly said I’m sorry, I don’t know what happened, I truly thought it was at 10 am. She allowed me to reschedule(I know she didn’t have to do this and could have just kept the money since it was a Groupon), but made it known I was really putting her out. I was extremely mad after this conversation, but calmed down telling myself perhaps she was just having a bad day. I cannot imagine that she would have spoken this way to a customer who hadn’t already paid — she would have lost their business for sure. Fast forward to 4 days before my scheduled appointment and I realized I had a conflict. I called to move the appointment and got the awful Kelly again. She was every bit as rude as she was the first time. She says to me «oh, you cancelled last time.» Not quite what happened, but sure, whatever. She was so so rude, and again made me feel like I was really putting her out — with 4 days notice of an appointment change! At this point, what choice do I have — the service is already paid for. I dreaded my appointment not knowing if this Kelly person would be doing the service — how awful would that be. Thankfully, it was not Kelly, and the esthetician was lovely however it cannot make up for the way I was treated and I will NEVER return here.

My biggest gripe about this place is they are very sales focused. After a treatment be prepared for the sales pitch. Whatever treatment you are having they will be rather pushy about signing you up for more. It wasn’t a relaxing ‘spa’ experience. Pretty cramped area. Staff are rushed until it’s time to pay and they want to sell you more. I wouldn’t return. Esp for the prices they charge — way nicer places out there.

I’ve looked at this place before on their website but found it abit on the expensive side so I kinda forgot about it until there was an online coupon deal. The deal was for 75 mins hot stone massage, 63% off regular price. I thought it was a decent deal and it’s located nearby so I bought it. Their website looks great, very spa-like. So I expected to feel relaxed and pampered when I get there. When it was time to make an appt, it took me days to get a hold of them. I always get their answering machine. It was getting very annoying. So finally I left a msg and they contacted me the 1 – 2 days later. The next available appt was 2 weeks away. So…this«medspa» is kinda cramped and narrow. All the rooms are along the hallway. The waiting area was tight but there’s a fireplace(not on, but a nice touch) and a few comfy chairs. My masseuse arrived 5mins before and I could see her rush in to change. When it was time, she grabbed my info sheet, looking rushed and didn’t greet me. When we got into the massage room, she finally introduced herself. I wasn’t expecting much out of this treatment b/c I had it before somewhere else and it was ok. They don’t really use the stones through out the whole session. I just like the fact that it’s 75mins long instead of an hr. My masseuse explained to me that she’ll be incorporating massages along w/the stones. I like that. During the session, I found that the stones were burning hot but I didn’t say anything. The massage was really good, she really worked on my knots. She focused mostly on my neck and shoulders(my problem areas0. Then she massaged my legs, hands and abit on my face. It felt very nice. Overall, I enjoyed the massage more than the hot stones. I would never pay $ 150 for it though. Even though the coupon says it’s a 75mins session, it was only an hr. I was kinda disappointed about that. I felt kinda ripped off. After tax and tips, I paid $ 86. I’d rather go to a RMT.
