The food is horrible! Oh my god I ordered a vaziri and the chicken was hard salty kabob and taste like they reheated some old kabob from 7 nights ago and served it. Is that legal? Never going here again

Good flavour food, I had the kebab and lamb skewer combo. I requested to have half salad and half rice and waitress was really accommodating. Kebab was a little bit on the oily side, but I had them with the tendered rice and thin bread provided. The salad was crisp and the lamb skewer is juicy and flavourful! Would come back

Food and service here used to be 5 star but recently the food quality has dropped to 1 star. Past two times we have had food here was not comparable at all to what they had. I hope they take this comment as a positive one and change the food quality back to what we fell in love with.

Great food and service! We had; Starter: Calamari($ 8.95) — good… same as everywhere else. I find that the portion is small for the price. Main: Papa’s Special($ 14.99) — a skewer of lamb rack lamb and ground beef served with rice and tomato. It’s soooo good!!! The lamb melts in your mouth and it’s so juicy and tasty. I finished the whole plate by myself! A definite must get when you’re here!!! Chicken Souvlaki($ 15.95) — broiled tender morel of chicken Free Run marinated on skewer served with rice, roasted potato, Greek pita bread, tzatziki and Greek salad. The rice was excellent. The chicken and pita were OK. Dessert: Kataifi($ 3.95) — Almond and Walnut pastry in syrup, shredded dough. It’s served warm and pretty sweet… it’s good!

Love the Persian food and Kababs at this place. The kababs are always really tender and done right. Persian food is really good here and the value for the price is tremendous.

Someone else on Unilocal described the service here as «awkward» and I’d have to agree. The serving staff seem disinterested and bored, and that’s also how I’d express my tastebuds’ feelings about the food. I had the gheimeh stew(eggplant, beef, and split pea stew with rice). I don’t know anything about Persian food but like the last syllable, it was ‘meh’. My daughter had the koobideh(beef with rice and tomatoes) — also incredibly bland. Other diners at our table had the joojeh(chicken, bone-in) and the chicken wrap. Maybe Persian food just isn’t for us but we enjoy foods from all over the world and so I don’t think I’ll write off Iranian cuisine, I just won’t be coming back here. If delicious Middle Eastern in the tri-cities is what you’re after, go to the Golden Pita behind Lougheed Mall. Both the food and the service are miles above this place.

Wow, really really tasty food! Hubs ordered the lamb chops and his plate looked delicious, really good Greek food. I had the chicken joojeh which was probably the juiciest tenderest chicken I have ever had(no lie!) owner was our server and he was very friendly. We shared the saganaki to start, can’t go wrong with fried cheese! Nice new restaurant that’s decorated fancy/high end. My only disappointment was the pita, we watched it get opened and plated. Just the usual thin stuff you buy at save on for lunches, served cold. I guess I was hoping for warmed up at the least, and home made or higher end at the most! Overall, I will be back, and very curious about the catering pricing for big family events!

Good food. Authentic and well made. The meats are very good. Tender and juicy. Not overly spicy. The breads are excellent. I had garlic tiger prawns smothered in butter with chopped garlic and a hint of lemon. Nice people. Decent service. Seems like a family run business. Will eat again.

I think they should consider making their rice a different way. It’s not as good as other Persian places… My issue was the chicken, it was slightly under done, and then again on another visit. Just be sure to get your chicken well done. Besides that the portions are good

Im kabab lover so i been in many restaurants that offer kabab. I can confirm this the worst kabab i ever had, too oily like too much, i know middle eastern food are generally have alot of oil but this one was ALOT the oil was like water above the rice and the kabab. Awful Please reduce the amount of oil in ur food

It’s somewhere between 3 and 4 stars for me. We had the mashed eggplant appetizer, chicken and beef skewers. I didn’t like the style of rice, although my partner liked it. I was hoping for more saffron. Papa’s delight in Richmond had better tasting rice imho. The meat was marinated well and quite tasty. Service felt a bit awkward and amateurish although they meant well. Décor is a bit bizarre. There is a disco ball! and chandeliers~! Greek pillars?!? I guess because it’s Greek and Persian food.

The grilled chicken kabob was very tender & delicious marinated just right. The soltani we ordered was also very good. Rice was perfectly cooked. The good is delicious and the prices are very reasonable. My only issue is that the service is not good at all. We waited awhile to get our menu’s. We finally order and our food came before our appetizers. That was disappointing. We were all full before we got our meals. When we were finally finished with our meals, the dishes were still sitting in front of us. It would be nice if they removed everything so we could order our desserts & tea but at that point we were done waiting for anyone so we went elsewhere for our desserts & tea. Again, the food is very good but the service is just awful and disappointing in all aspects. I do t think we would go back again.

My husband and I finally tried this place for something different in the area and we were very pleasantly surprised by the value, freshness, and tastiness of the dishes! We ordered a greek salad, a steak wrap, and a chicken wrap, and it was so good! We are already planning our next visit. Keep up the great work!

Where else can u get a delicious lamb leg dish with basmati rice for $ 10 for dinner? Always cooked perfectly and comes out hot and steaming. They own the grocery store next door so they get fresh produce. Same chef as afghan horseman in Granville!

We were looking for Iranian food in this neighborhood and we decided to give this restaurant a try. The food is ok but the service is super slow. Took long to take our order, and bring the food. Never came back to check if we need anything.

Decent food for $ 8 – 14. Had a steak and rice plate with a roasted tomato. They charge an extra $ 2 to replace half the rice for salad which I opted not to have… I don’t think they should charge for it. Overall, it was average lunch food IMO.

Second visit in the evening. Still working out their service. Server was a younger girl learning how to serve. No real issues considering. Quite cold in the resto, everyone was wearing their coats. The nice meals cooled faster. Didn’t feel as relaxed due to the cool interior. There are large windows all around the resto so that could be a big contributing factor. The heat could have been turned up tho. I didn’t ask but am wondering if the ¼ onion wedge & pita is complimentary or an appy… I saw only the Persian customers had this and they seemed to be friends of the employees/owners. Friends mentioned the stew didn’t have as much meat in them as the kababs and were a littler priced than the kababs. I’d be back as the food is good.
