Paros Taverna makes the best Bougatsa that my partner who have worked in 4 Star restaurants as well as myself have ever tasted. Worth the wait as made from scratch.

Paros, you have disappointed me today. My man and I split the roast lamb and ordered it to go. The lamb was very small, the salad looked soggy and it tasted as it looked. The potatoes were also extremely salty I probably downed a few bottles of water afterwards. I’m not sure if it was just an off-night but my meal was definitely not worth $ 30.

My family and I have been to Paros Taverna a few times and this place rocks! The food is delicious, the atmosphere is great(no loud music where you can’t have a conversation) Service is fantastic! Cheers, Art

I visited here for lunch. I ordered«Paros Platter for Two» and«Anni Kleftico». I also had Red wine Tsantali Rouge. I liked Chicken Souvlaki and wine but that’s about it. Others were all typical Greek dishes I could taste anywhere.

The restaurant was not too busy on a Saturday evening so we were able to get a nice seat on the patio without a reservation. The food was really delicious. Everything we ordered was tasty. We were a party of 7 and some of us had the platter for four which was a combination of many dishes. Some of our friends had the lamb which they liked very much. The food was not too salty and very flavorful. You will love their rice and potatoes. I love this restaurant and will definitely come back for the food and excellent service. They also gave us a shot of Sambouka and a slice is baklava type of cake for the birthday customer. Great restaurant for sure!

This is my favorite Greek restaurant. The lamb shoulder is delicious and the serving size is huge. The staff is friendly and the dessert at the end is delicious, I just always am too full to eat it after! The patio is great but I find every once in a while a smelly car goes by and the patio smells like diesel. That is really my only complaint about the place.

been waiting here over 1 hour for food and still sitting here. the servers didn’t even say anything no sorry no nothing. nobody came to our table to tell us what’s going on. we then walked up to the server and asked and she said, «it’s coming right up.» It’s been a super long wait after that and still waiting.

I spent an hour trying to decide where to go for some Greek food and found this wonderful place on Unilocal.Boy am I glad I trusted my instincts and went here :) We went there for late lunch, so there weren’t many people there(which was great for us). I didn’t pay much attention to the décor or the layout of the restaurant because I was too hungry lol. Anyway, we ordered fried cheese, lamb shoulder, and chicken souvlaki. Oh man, I loved how the cheese was perfectly ‘fried’ and seasoned with half of a lemon! It was fragrant, zesty, and simply delicious. I was pleasantly surprised when I realized the appetizer came with some pita bread. Now, on to the lamb! The lamb was perfect. It was falling off the bones and melting in my mouth– it was one big foodgasm for me. The rice and potatoes were pretty standard, nothing to rave about though. I regret not ordering dessert because I have a huge sweet tooth, but because the portions were so big(even though we ordered from the lunch menu), I just couldn’t fit in any more food in me. If you go there, order the lamb(I had the shoulder but I’m confident that the rack will be just as great) and book the rest of your afternoon off because you will fall into a food coma.

This place isn’t memorable at all. The atmosphere and servers are nice, but the food is terrible. The hummus is way too peppery. The chicken souvlaki was dry dry dry. The rice was gross. The only good things about our meal was the pita bread and the potatoes. Other than that, I have had better elsewhere. They seemed to have very young chefs back there and I think they would do well to taste their food… it is not good and it is not traditional Greek food. I have no need to return. The prices were a bit on the high side and the food was not worth the money.

Had to update this review. Never have had a bad experience here. Service is the best. Food is amazing. I feel like I’m just hanging out with friends and enjoying a meal. Don’t get me wrong a classy night out can happen here too. Always feel under dressed when I go in. Started wearing collared shirts each visit now. Will be a devoted, longtime costumer.

Really good Greek food! Went here for dinner a couple weekends ago and was pretty impressed. Very non-Greek atmosphere, more contemporary and simple. I don’t mind either way, but it had a nice vibe. The staff were awesome. Everyone from the host to the server were super friendly and accommodating. As for the menu, it was typical Greek fare, although entrees were a bit pricier than normal. Overall the food was pretty good. My only complaint is that my Spanakopita was so small. I got the entrée version, and it was just 2 tiny triangles. Everywhere else I’ve had spanakopita, it’s so much bigger. It tasted great though, I just wish there would have been more of it.

Ladies night at Paros! My favourite was the Pantzaria salad and the Baklava Ice cream cake. It was phenomenal. Then suddenly the lights dimmed and out came Aziz, the Arab dancer. WOW. he was HOT, literally. he came out a was breathing fire. It was really a lot of fun. The food was so-so the service was very good. They seemed a bit overwhelmed with our large party and the rest of the restaurant as well on a Friday night.

I tried this place based on all the great Unilocal reviews but it turned out to be a dissappointment. I had a craving for Greek food at 1000pm, so I searched for Greek restos in Burnaby still open and found this place. When I called to place my takeout order, it was close to closing, but they still took my order, which was really nice. I ordered the Paro platter and the roast lamb. The platter came with souvlaki(1 skewer shrimp, 1 chicken), pita, greek salad, rice, potato, 2 dolmades, 1 spanikopita, and calamari. It was a good portion of food for $ 33, except the spanikopita was quite small… as a platter for two they should either make it bigger or give you two. The greek salad was very fresh. It was the best part of the meal! The shrimp and dolmades were too salty. The rest of the platter was mediocre. The roast lamb was dry and not worth the $ 22. The serving of rice and potatoes was very generous. Maybe the quality of the food was not as good as usual because it was closing time? Anyways, I will not be going back there. I can get better greek food and closer to home.

Service is nice. Good people on the front of the house. Kitchen seems a little idiotic. Sending back cold rice and potatoes is fixed with a quick nuke in the microwave. Clown move. Ps: portions are minuscule. I can EASILY crush two roast lamb orders and still ask for extra bread. So to sum up… Good front of the house, what looked like a 12 year old in the kitchen… After being here I simply don’t comprehend most of these other reviews.

One of the best places in metro Vancouver to have Greek food. They have best deals for lunch, especially Fridays, when you can have lamb, souvlaki or calamari for around $ 10. The lamb is really tasty and tender, the portions plenty. Rice is also very tasty, possibly cooked in meat broth which probably why it agrees with my carnivore palette. Lunch specials come with rice and potato, Greek salad, pita bread and dessert(most of the time baklava or house-special cake). Dinnertime is equally good, but its on the pricier side. The portions are proportional to the price. I hope this review doesnt make this place too busy during our lunchtime. :I

I decided to stop by on a Friday night to get takeout. Wow, the place was packed, with people waiting. It was loud, but looked like it would be a fun place to stop by for dinner or a drink. I ordered the Paros platter for two, and it was a pretty good deal for around $ 30. It came with one prawn and one chicken souvlaki, fried calamari, two dolmades, one spanikopita, two pita, a Greek salad, lots of rice, and some tzatziki. My favorites were the calamari(nicely fried), the prawn souvlaki(had a nice charred flavor) and the spanikopita(still crispy even when I got home). I definitely plan on coming back to have dinner in the restaurant. It is always nice to eat at a family owned restaurant: a cute young girl and boy(owner’s kids?) manned the front podium.

I ended up here after endless humming and hawing over what to cook, the security guard in Safeway starts to give me the greasy eyeball if I wander aimlessly for too long anyway. I’m not crazy about Greek food the way I used to be, but it’s an interesting one to throw into the mix for a devout foodie whose diet mainly consists of sweet treats, phở, and other random concoctions. We start with saganaki, always with saganaki. Calamari used to be my go-to for a Greek starter, but after my first encounter with this dairy delight, I’m signed, sealed, sold and I’m never changing my ways, ever. It came out sizzling hot, and it was nothing short of cheesy, gooey delicious. My dining counterpart makes a sarcastic joke about the health ramifications of our appetizer, and visions of bikinis and hip-huggers start dancing like sugar plums in my head and I’m scared for my waistline, but two bites in and I’m on a pan-fried cloud 9 with pita bread on the side. On second thought, f&@# swimsuit season! I followed the man’s lead this time, and we both ordered the stuffed chicken breast, which came with all the sides you would expect: greek salad, roast potato, rice pilaf, pita bread, and tzatziki. I’m not crazy into red meat like some, so I consider myself a chicken master! The breast was tasty, but slightly overdone. It was a little dry, and not as tender as it could’ve been. A thick, creamy sauce was the missing puzzle piece here, although if the breast had not been overcooked, I may not have missed it so desperately. A complementary piece of baklava with whipped cream on the house ends this meal. All in all, we were satisfied, but for the price, I’d say Sokela has these guys beat.

So it’s end of September and tomatoes are exploding off vines everywhere. Why not have red ripe tomatoes in the cucumber salad? Mine was what I would expect from a gyro place at the food court. My lamb souvlaki was grilled and spiced mildly, but not tender. Buttered, skinned whole baking potatoes where highly seasoned, yet who can eat two giant baking poatatos? They covered half the plate. Homemade pita bread was nice touch, as was the Ouzo shot.
