Just before writing this review, I’m sure wishing for my lucky stars as if i had read the most recent review here, who knows if I would’ve still made my purchase here! But the sales associate Ahmed was quite impressive from the beginning – no pressure, and quite willing to answer questions i had about the Samsung Note«half phone, half tablet», and how to keep my number from Fido to Rogers. Over a period of 3 days, of answering questions via text, I finally made the disloyal jump from Fido(over 10 years) to Rogers, and here’s what I got: 1) ported my number succesfully(whew!) it’s not a slam dunk as the other reviewer unfortunately experienced. Luckily i called both companies’ customer service dept’s 2) for a 3 yr term, got an additional $ 50 knocked off its list price of $ 199. 3) Rogers WAIVES all cancellation fees only if you’re coming from Fido contract, since it’s a sister company, as long as you meet certain conditions 4) gave me a deal on the screen protector and case 5) and a slightly better monthly fido: canada wide calling & Canadian unlimited texting. 6) and saved a bit on the Alberta taxes lol

My wife and I have dealt with Wireless Wave twice in the past and both times were very sadly disappointed. The first time my wife was changing from Bell to Fido and was told she would be able to keep her number from Bell. This was not the case and we were unable to port her number over even thou the sales man guaranteed it. Further visits to Wireless Wave proved fruitless. Our second time dealing with them, I was to get a new iPhone4. They did not have one and said one was coming in for me from their Medicine Hat store. I signed all the contracts and waited for the phone that was to come in the next day. I waited and waited and finally after 5 days I went to get my money back. After about an hour they refunded my 190.00 I had given them and I returned to using my iPhone3. Next month my Cell phone provided send me a bill for almost $ 600 for the phone. Initially Wireless wave refused to help me. And my provider would not credit me for the phone without confirmation that I had never received the phone. I finally talked to the Manager at Wireless Wave and he told me that I had received the phone according to his records. I even showed him the receipts were my credit card had been charged and then credited for the cancelled transaction. I finally resolved the issue after I threatened to report the alleged phone stolen(since Rogers provided me with it’s ESN) and insisted that I would have whom ever was in possession of the phone charged. The situation was resolved that same day and the charge for the phone was lifted the same day. From the time I ordered the phone to time I got full credit back took almost 5 months. There are much better Cell phone shops out there, skip this one.

I just popped in to see what selection of iPhone 4 bumpers they had. Is was moderately impressed, but the prices were a little higher than I wanted to pay.
