Had a cup of coffee here. It was the most watered down disgusting cup of coffee I’ve ever had(and I drink coffee everyday). Never again. Would rather have a cup of instant coffee.

We were heading over to Starbucks nearby and found out they just closed. A number of Starbucks customers including ourselves wandered across the street here after. Thank goodness Waves stayed open later on Christmas Day so we can enjoy our java fix. Also, the manager kindly accepted the Entertainment Coupon for a BOGO drink :)!

They still have decent espresso but now so big and serving in a big cup. Espresso should be short and in a espresso cup. The girl that was helping on this day was great and made a tasty espresso. Not sure why switched cause at first was good size.

Good little place, except when the Asian baristas give you a snotty attitude! Also, very busy with lots of students. Food and drink are not bad, they have worked on making sure washrooms and tables are clean. Bonus, the old guys are friendly and greet you upon entering which is a nice change from Starbucks.

Free coffee day! I’ve never had a Waves coffee(I’ve only gone for the absolutely delicious hot chocolate) and it was pretty tasty. Plus this is a nicer than usual Waves, friendly barista even though, as a precious poster mentioned, she was a little pushy.

It is like any other coffee joint to me. The Waves chain has friendly baristas and a conference room for happy group gatherings. Our newest favourite is the rooibos symphony frappé. Wave size sets you back $ 5, which is in line with all the other coffee chains’ pricing. The shop is spacious with tables, lounge chairs and TV.

Holy crap this was the worst caramel latte ever. I was already on the bus when I took the sip, therefore, could not go back to tell the barista. I wasted $ 4.55. It tasted like gasoline. WTF? The lady at the til was sweet and semi pushy which annoyed me. I didn’t even finish my latte and threw it in the trash at the next bus stop.

When I first entered this overly bright coffee house I was pretty unsure that it would be anything but a BAD post movie drink spot. I quickly discovered their 2⁄1 coupons in entertainment book– joy! The staff were friendly and genuine. They helped me navigate choosing a Rooibos drink. Like a coffee drink latte or cappuccino you get the tea run through the same type machine as the coffee. It creates a rich delish blend. Sweetening choices range from liquid sweetener to honey(and even honey sweetener which was kinda unusual given that it’s a honey knock off blend). Of course this little bright beacon had all the coffee-shop must haves– free WiFi, a TV area with comfy chairs, counter seating with laptop outlets and in a community minded BESTFEATURE– a free private meeting room. All you have to do is call in to reserve up to a max 2hrs time slot. Very nice. My only request would be to vary the lighting in some of the room it really was TOO bright as a night time hang.

Very friendly employees. Clean and bright(too bright). Their caramel apple cider is great; better than from Sbux but quality is inconsistent. Once I received a cup that’s very watered down and no caramel nor whip cream, and that’s the time I recommended my bf’s mom to try it…-_–

Yay! We have another coffee chain on the Heights that opens late. It’s open until 10! The drinks are good and they have a conference room in the back just like every other waves!

Thanks to Nelson C. for tipping me off about this newest coffee establishment. As it was their Grand Opening, everyone was on their best behaviour. Hopefully the level of service keeps up. Parking is available on the side street(back-in diagonal parking). If that lot is full, just go 1 block to the S. The layout is very modern. More so than many of the other locations. I’ll take a brightly lit place over a dimly lit one any day. Special mention goes to the boardroom in the back — yes, you can hold meetings here, and I think it’s free! It has a glass sliding door too. Just call ahead to reserve. As part of the festivities, they were giving out samples. Banana bread — unlike Starbucks, this one isn’t too sweet. Excellent. Ham and cheese sandwich — nice and toasted. Anything toasted is always good. Chai tea — just the right amount of sweetness. Beats out Blenz in this department. Pina Colada — nice coconut flavour, though I suspect it may be artificial. Maybe someone can verify. It’s good to know that there’s now another coffee shop in the Heights area.
