We ordered one combo and one 6″ sub. First, they were skimpy on the veggie toppings. Second, despite the restaurant was empty, all the tables and counter space had bread crumbs from previous customers. The place was dirty for anyone trying to eat a quick meal…

Honestly, this is the worst subway I’ve been to. I used to work across the street and go there for a «healthy meal» There’s a lot of inconsistencies. The night crew would top my sub with of veggies, but the morning people(always the same girls) skimp on the veggies. I’ve asked for veggies and they just added half the amount they added the first time.

This is by far the worst Subway I have ever visited. I understand that I shouldn’t have high expectations for a fast food chain restaurant to provide me with quality food, however, when your niche is to provide a healthy alternative that is made fresh in front of you, you’d think they’d desire to make a nice looking sandwich. Again, I realize that this is a fast food chain, but I do not believe it’s too much to ask if my sandwich is made with bread that doesn’t fall apart while they’re still making it, or having the meat and veggies evenly distributed in the sandwich, also, I shouldn’t have to ask for more veggies over and over again and treated as if my request is unreasonable. My advice, if you’re looking for a sloppy, poorly made sandwich that will cost you $ 8-$ 10 then this Subway is for you, but, if you value your money than go to the Safeway two blocks East of the Subway for a better quality, freshly made sandwich that has more veggie options and is cheaper in price.

Everyone knows what Subway(and their little monkey mascot) are all about, so I won’t go into details about the chain here. Parking is available in the strip mall out front. There’s also Hastings if the lot fills up. Not sure why, but they really skimped on the toppings. I had to ask them to keep piling on the toppings, and gave up after 2 – 3 tries. Really wish they wouldn’t do this. This seems to be hit or miss on the location. The other part that stuck out was the sheer number of weird people coming through the doors to harass the staff. I felt bad for them. On the bright side, they now have this new toaster oven that seems much more effective than the previous models. Mmm. melted cheese.

Having eaten at various Subways across Canada for more than 15 years I know what a Sub should look like. Whenever I go into this location I am constantly in a battle with the«sandwich artist» to add more veggies. Im not sure if they are trying to save money on the veggies or if the person is too scared the sandwich wont close, but its always disappointing. After this struggle at this location for more than 5 times, I now go to the one on Willingdon, across from Brentwood Mall. Advice to this Subway — When the customer wants more veggies and you only add 2 – 3 more tomatoes, dont get pissed off when they ask for MORE. Load it up! For $ 8 I should just go across the street to Fortuna Bakery, Red Apple market to buy and make my own! Sorry, but I give up wasting my time here…
