Terrible. Worst service I’ve ever had. Our family came here for dinner. It seems like the servers take your order and dump your food. Nobody came by to check on us or to ask if we needed anything. We had to get our own water. When we asked the waitress to come by to take our desert order, she came 20 minutes later after we asked. When the dessert did come out, she saw that some people didn’t have desert and asked if they would like to order something, no thanks, too little too late. Our party had a mandatory 17% service charge, which was not deserved for the service we got. The food was mediocre. The steak was slathered in a salty pepper corn sauce. I am never coming back.

Had breakfast here. Staff friendly. Food was mediocre. Their omlettes are small and not that tasty. Pancakes and French Toast were burnt. It’s fine if you don’t have a choice, but for the time spent, I could have gone somewhere else and back in the time I waited.

This place was like a fancier earles but with a nicer atmosphere. The menu had a decent selection but our food was poorly made. 4⁄9 of our party members asked for rare steaks and all 4 came medium done. The salmon and halibut were also dry and over done. Service was decent but we we didn’t get our steaks and fish redone, we were already starving after waiting approximately 50 minutes for the entrees. The seafood fettuccine and apps were tasty. After we had dessert we sat around to chat and catch up with the birthday girl and wait staff stopped coming around. They had us pay and never appeared again until we went looking for someone to help us take a group picture.

Condo work landed us at this hotel for a couple of nights. Had eaten at EBO many times for breakfast so now we get to try dinner. A decent sized menu and a small but well priced well designed wine list. We had tuna tartare and mussels appies and different steaks for mains. All were excellent. I confess to being surprised at how good they were. The chef here could teach some of the big houses a thing or two. Service is 5 star excellent.

I’ve eaten here many times before and always had a great meal and pretty decent service. But not today. On my recommendation a colleague and I dropped into the EBO for a business lunch. «Leif» the fellow manning the host’s desk completely ignored us, so we finally seated ourselves. Then he continued to ignore us, walking back and forth in front of us as though we were invisible. I finally called out to him to confirm that the lounge was indeed open for lunch, and — here’s where it gets surreal — he paused, looked right at me, and just walked away without saying a word! We finally managed to flag down a waiter, who was very helpful. I had a great black bean and ancho salad, and my colleague had an equally good Cobb salad. The service from the host though? Epic fail. Definitely sending the wrong message to customers.

My girlfriend came to visit and wanted something a little on the fancy so I found E.b.o. I made a reservation a couple of hours ahead by leaving a voice message. Not sure if it even got booked. Upon my arrival the host knew of my message and had a table ready for me ! After my friend and I ordered we realized our food was quite delayed. A manager came to apologize and our server as well. We were offered certain items to be taken off and also an extra amount on my friends bill discounted. Plus a free dessert! I honestly have not had such a pleasant service in a long time. Whether they wanted to make sure no poor comments were given or complaints they took the effort, time, expense to do so. The food was very yummy! They were very accommodating as I do not eat cheese and they were willing to substitute my food for what I wanted instead. It’s a very beautiful restaurant. Great for dates as well.

Great place. Went here for a bite after gambling and it was another WIN. I first won in the casino now a great tasty place. The seating also has great little hideaways. We were at a table with a privacy curtain. A new fave.

We went for dine out. The food was delicious overall. For appetizer, I had the wild mushroom soup. It was a bit salty. For the entrée, I had the pan-fried fish with risotto. This one was really good. And as for dessert, I had bruleed lemon chiboust, almond cake. It tasted like coconut finger cookie. It was good. The service was awesome and very professional. We would definitely come back for another special occasion.

This restaurant did everything wrong for a friend’s birthday party. 1. It took 1.5 hours to get the appetizers out 2. It took 1 hour for them to get the first round of drinks 3. We had to continuously go and ask when the food and drinks would be coming. 4. No server was introduced when we were seated. And no Server checked in from time to time 5. Staff were dismissive of the concerns of service that were brought to their attention 6. Coffee was served in a coffee dispenser that was left on the table. Who does that at a restaurant. Denny’s I get, but Ebo is not supposed to be like Denny’s. I will be speaking with the manager and owners about this experience and will ensure that anyone that asks for recommendations on restaurants in Burnaby, Ebo will be at the bottom of the list. If you are in the restaurant business, customer service should be #1 priority. No excuses.

We had out of town guests and needed to place a large group reservation on short notice. The OpenTable app directed me to this restaurant as an option. We decided to book this restaurant as it was a central location for everyone to get to. There was ample free hotel parking across from the hotel but I ended up having to cut through the casino and scramble for my ID even though I only wanted to get to the restaurant. As flattering as it was, I am not anywhere close to 19 anymore and just wanted to get to the restaurant. Next time, I would cross the street in the cold than to use the parking lot overpass. Our hostess directed us to our table right away. The restaurant ambiance is very nice. The dark furniture and dim lighting made the restaurant feel cozy. There was only one server for the whole restaurant. It was not that busy but I felt as though our server was not trying to work for her tip because she was automatically receiving 18% tip from us. She spent most of her time at the smaller tables. It was not the type of service I would expect from a hotel restaurant. Someone at our table walked up up the front of the restaurant to flag for some attention and service… then our server shows up. The menu is Pacific Northwest inspired. We feasted on a full course menu of appetizers, mains and desserts. Overall, the food was tasty. I noticed many restaurants no longer provide complimentary bread anymore and this restaurant was no different. We did order bread to start our meal. The highlight was the Sundae surprise for two. For $ 18, it can actually feed 3 – 4 people. Hot coconut sauce is poured over a chocolate ball to reveal ice cream and other dessert goodies. The ingredients are basic, but the presentation is unique. Our server checked up on us once during the main course to ask how the food was. When it came to packing leftovers and getting the dessert menu, it was challenging to find any staff. Also, our server was not fast to get our bill or let us pay our bill to get out of the restaurant. It seems as though the staff were working at their own pace. Overall, not the worse customer service I have ever experienced(see Baci for that one), but definitely lacking and plenty of room for improvement. Our server did not have the sense when to check up on our table to take orders, refill drinks, clear plates, offer dessert menu, offer our bill or follow up to clear the bill. We had to keep waving at staff to get some service. We were trying to enjoy a family dinner in a nicer setting and this restaurant was a bit disappointing for a $ 400 bill for a table of 8 people.

I consider myself somewhat a foodie and am extremely critical when eating out. We spent 2 nights at the Delta and ate 2 meals and one take out while staying there. Waitstaff is top notch but food and cost really only deserves 2 stars. Loved the fries served with smoked onion and garlic aioli sauce and actually got a take out order to enjoy in our room one evening. Breakfast was our least favorite meal. No way the chef scramble was made with fresh eggs… they were gritty. My husband ordered the Eggs Benedict and he said the hollandaise sauce was blah(zero flavor). A bottomless pot of coffee for 2 was $ 7…how much coffee did they really think we would drink while eating breakfast? Could have gotten a cheaper cup of drip coffee downstairs at the Starbucks. Wasnt overly impressed with the Delta or the casino so dont think we will be back.

Staying at Grand Villa Casino Hotel and had dinner at E.B.O. Start off with the wild mushroom soup, but it was extremely salty. Seared scallops was my favorite; however, 2 pcs for $ 14 kinda rip-off. Mussels are tasty with little bit spicy. The main course steak and prawns was disappointing. They make good cocktails and we decide to come again just to have drinks and appetizers.

We’ve been here before(albeit, over a year ago) and had good experiences. Tonight was pretty meh. The service had it’s ups and downs, but was pretty good. It was the food that was really lacking. We ordered the mussels to start and found them almost inedible as half of them tasted fishy and the rest very bland and unappealing. Some guests at our table ordered steak which was good, but I really recommend NOT ordering the risotto. It was the WORST risotto I have ever had! Instead of creamy, it was watery. Even the falvours chosen for the risotto was strange and unappetizing. First of all it was extremely salty, with random bites of extremely strong lemon flavour. The strong salt and lemon was much too acidic. Mixed in the rice with lemon was asparagus, walnuts and goat cheese. Not really a great combination of flavours. The desserts were nice(although the crème brûlée was somewhat lacking a hard exterior to crack, which is better than being a burnt exterior). I would go back to try the breakfast/brunch because I remember it being absolutely delicious, so I hope this place hasn’t gone down in quality all together. Fingers crossed it was just an off night.

E.b.o. Is a classy yet casual Restaurant located in the Delta Hotel. The lounge is a great place to start with drinks as you wait for a table. The décor and lighting set a great ambiance for your meal. They have velvet booths, private curtain tables and reg 4 tops. Everyone was professional and friendly from the hostess, server to white coat chef came by to see how the meal was. It was Fantastic! Our favorites were the roti from the lounge, then the Beef Carpaccio with Parmesan foam, the scallops with beets & pork saddle and the albacore tuna poke. Complete your meal with the insanely fabulous Sundae Surprise! I promise you won’t be disappointed! I Can’t wait to visit again!

We came here on a Wednesday night to try the famous dessert – Sundae Surprise. It was an amazing presentation that the chef was pouring hot coconut fudge on top of a chocolate sphere. The sphere was melting in front of us and Ta-DA…we discovered one scoop of vanilla ice cream and mango sorbet along with some interesting snack inside of it. The dessert is definitely worth to try. However, the food was just ok(3.5 stars… sorry there’s no option of 3.5 to check on the Unilocal chart). The restaurant is in the casino and for some reasons it seems a bit under-staffed as we wait quite a while to be seated, ordered, and paid for the bill.

Fancy restaurant inside a hotel. happy hour daily from 3−6pm…free wifi and parking courtesy of the hotel and okay decors contemporary, more on dark colors combination that makes it so cool to the eyes, so relaxing, ambiance is classy kind of thing but doesnt really require to dress up . same owner of the starbucks coffee downstairs by the main entrance so feel free to grab your favorite coffee and you can bring them at EBO during the happy hour theres only few choices in the menu during happy hour… we had all of them ½llb chicken wings(i dont really know if its half pound)5 pieces of wings, a burger slider and the yum fries, presentation of food were excellent, tastewise they were good. Full bar from beer to wine to hard drinks… Service is very friendly, fast and effecient, server wearing pure black uniform with a gold name tug. pretty neat Since the place is within the hotel/casino after satisfying your tummy youll just walk a few meters and youll be inside the gaming room, either table or slot machines… designated smoking area at the patio on all floors… attendants are all over if you need assistance i love this place and i dont mind to visit over and over again…

This place is one of my favourite restaurants in the lower mainland and I’ve been to most. Very rarely do I write anything on Unilocal. The food at Ebo is always delicious, everything I’ve ordered has been outstanding and exceeded expectations. The staff are great and it has a very relaxed and spacious atmosphere. It boggles my mind how more people don’t know of this place.

This place is located at the Grand Villa casino. I was initially attracted to all the Instagram posts regarding the chocolate surprise dessert. It was delicious but a bit pricey. It could probably be shared between four people. The entrées were nothing special. Everything came out fine. They were just really expensive. Service was good, but that’s expected when you’re paying that much for food. I would really only recommend the dessert for all the dessert lovers out there as it is very unique and definitely Instagram worthy!

Ebo is located inside the Delta Hotel /Grand Villa Casino in Burnaby. I was hesitant to have a birthday brunch with my family since this is a restaurant that was part of the Casino, but the meal turned out great! There’s plenty of free parking underground so your morning starts off stress free. The service was outstanding and they are kid friendly. Ebo is a spacious restaurant and because it wasn’t packed, our brunch was quite and relaxing at the same time. They have enough high chairs for all the kids in our party and provided kid menus as well. The kid menu consisted of the regular kid favorites such as grilled cheese sandwiches, pizza, pasta and etc. You can choose your side of fries or healthier steamed veggies along with milk or juice. For my meal, I chose the salmon benedict, which was cooked medium and served with hashed browns. The egg yolks were runny with a fair amount of hollandaise sauce on top of delicious smoked salmon. I’m pleasantly surprised and will be back.

I have driven by the Grand Villa Casino with their huge signs pointed outwardly on highway 1 and adjacent to that sign is EBO restaurant. This was where I and a bunch of friends and family decided to head to for a brunch affair. I was met with a super cozy, ultra friendly staff and service. Very quiet for a Sunday mid morning, but the omelettes and benedicts came out warm and tasty. Lots of extra sides and children under 6 eat free. What a weird gimmick since they made up the difference from the grown up menu. Anyway, it was a decent time. We finished up but sat around and talked and no one seemed to rush us out the door.
