I took my daughter and my friend here for All you can eat sushi and the first thing we were greeted with when we opened the door was the strong smell of pot. We thought it may have been a couple of people that were sitting by the front door as we would still smell it, albeit not as strong, when we were seated on the other side of the room. When I went to the washroom later, it was strong in there as well. I am always floored at the maximum on sashimi at 2 – 3 pieces per person, as sashimi is my favourite item on a sushi menu. The one thing I find at most ayce sushi places is that after your first order and everything comes, you start getting ignored. We had to finally wave down the server for more sheets. The food was great, just the ambiance, smell, service and bathrooms didn’t meet expectations. When I was going up to pay, the server brushed past me without saying excuse me and she wasn’t very friendly when I was paying.

I’ve been here many times… good place… super friendly. Food is good, small portions but don’t let that fool you. You get stuffed fast. Deep fried banana is killer

I have been going to Dake since it first opened(I believe this was in 2000). While it has never been perfect every time that I have been there, it has generally been consistently good – even though, throughout the years, I have seen many different people working there. It has been many years since I have eaten anything that is not on the all-you-can-eat menu, so the scope of my food tasting may be limited; nevertheless, I have loved everything that I have eaten there. I especially love their cones(in particular, the spicy tuna and the scallop). I have always found the service to be quick, even when it has been busy(almost totally full in many cases), and any complaints that I have had there are few and far between(and have to do with the personalities of people whom I have not seen there since years ago). I would give them 5 stars, but I have recently taken two tempura lovers there on two different occasions(one per occasion); in both cases, the tempura got poor reviews. I do not like tempura, anyway; however, I tried it each time and can only concur with my guests who say that the tempura is too greasy with way too much batter. I cannot see anybody who truly loves Japanese food not enjoying the all-you-can-eat menu there. There is a great variety of food on the menu that allows you to sample a bit of everything and then order more of the stuff that you like the most. If you have no patience for occasional language barriers, or perhaps getting two regular chicken karaage and one spicy chicken karaage after marking one regular karaage and two spicy karaage on the piece of paper, and other things like that(and, after having worked in the food/hospitality business for about two decades, I know that many people like you exist), do not go there.

This is an ok sushi place. Sometimes service sucks. All you can eat is decent price but the sashimi is small, not even worth ordering. Crazyboy roll is good. Definitely not the best place in town.

This is a amazing sushi all you can eat restaurant. All you can eat Price $ 20 You will not find the same price of what they offer. Taste of the sushi is great. Waitress is friendly and sweet. Had good time there. Try their special and crazy boy. The cone is great.

I have been to Dake 3 times over the summer of 2015. On my own and with a friend the food has been good. The all you can eat is a little pricey although I don;t usually order that because I can’t eat that much. The box dinners are over priced. The tempura, tamago, miso, were all very good. I will go back again and order my favorite that are a good deal.

This is my go-to sushi place, partially due to location, but also due to consistent quality. I never get all you can eat but rather order off the regular menu. The agedashi tofu is great. I usually get the rainbow roll and it is always delicious. I also really like the asparagus roll. Their sashimi is consistently good as well. The owner is very warm and friendly. I have never been disappointed.

Terrible sushi. Considering this was the first all you can eat place in Abbotsford they really set their standards low and left them there. Seriously, don’t bother Sagano is WAY better. The parking lot here is tiny, hard to access/leave. The spicy tuna is just a tuna roll with a squirt of red spicy sauce, the rice on the nigiri tasted stale and old. We only got water glasses that were half full(no jokes about perspective) from the get go, no one came by to check our fluids or how it was going. The appetizer portions came out well after the main courses. Crowded tables. I would not recommend this to anyone. Even in times of desperation.

I’m not easily impressed by sushi places, but the food here is incredible! Order it all! It’s all fresh and piping hot, and the staff is great. Quickly seated, quickly served. My husband and his family have been coming here for years, and have never been disappointed. I recommend ordering a Crazy Boy, to die for! :) It’s $ 12.99 per person(during lunch hours) with an all-you-can-order menu, and trust me, you’ll want to order EVERYTHING. Kids are now only $ 6, and babies are free! Thanks Dake! We’ll be back every chance we get.

Really good sushi! Every time we have gone(three) the service has been a bit slow(but they have been really busy) and every time they have forgotten some items of our order. Everytime we have had to re-ask for items that were missed. Other than that really good.

I spent a lot of time in Richmond, eating a lot of sushi all over the place BUT this is the best sushi I’ve ever eaten so far. The rice alone is delicious! The California Roll is sometimes bland, but the California rolls here are tasty. This place is absolutely delightful, great environment, friendly service, and you can watch them make it! We will be back for sure!!!

Service was a touch on the slow side for taking my order, but one it was taken, things came nice and speedy. The quality of food is quite good. Opted to go for the bento box and it came with plenty to eat. Definitely going to try out their all you can eat dinner the next time I’m in the area

If you like all you can eat sushi, this is your place! Lots of selection and the food comes fast. The quality of course could be better, but hey — it’s all you can eat!

Love the sushi here! Its one of the tops in Abby! For a tiny restaurant the service is pretty good during busy times. Crazy Boi’s are my fav!

Sushi often fell apart. Was seated right away but wasn’t offered drinks for a good 10 minutes. Our appies arrived at the same time as our meal did, so the timing was poor and even then my soup was sorta borderline cold-lukewarm. The lunch special is worth it as its only a few bucks more.

Great deal on their all you can eat lunch — $ 12.99. The sashimi can be a bit small. Decent quality. Get the Crazy Boy Rolls. they are awesome!

The sushi here is really good and the owners very pleasant. The all-you-can-eat is a fair price and the portions are not stingy. They have had a lot of turnover in the serving staff, so the service can be hit and miss, but the food is excellent. I’ve only had lunch here, not dinner, but it keeps us coming back for more several times a month.

I was here in the city for a hockey game. The friend that I was with recommended we go eat first before the game. I didn’t go for the all you can eat. It was mediocre. It was flavourful. Sushi tasted fresh enough. I ordered the spicy combo. Good! The guy that was sitting next to me wasn’t lucky. He ordered his sushi a la carte & half of the things he ordered, they didn’t have. So, I guess we came during a bad night or those were not the most popular sushi rolls.

I came to Dake on a Sunday at 12:45 and found the restaurant to be packed. I was seated right away and while I waited for the other member of my party to arrive, was able to place a drink order for tea about 5 minutes after sitting down. 15 minutes later, I still didn’t have my tea or any menus but my party was complete. We got our own menus from the front and I was surprised how expensive everything is. We went fo the All-You-Can-Eat deal as it was $ 3 more than their bento boxes. We ordered several dishes and while most arrived promptly, some never appeared. It took 10 minutes to get a waitress’ attention to get soya sauce and the food was very mediocre. The sunomono ebi had two tiny shrimps and they were very tough. There was a giant bone in my salmon tempura and the chicken teriyaki came in giant strips and was mostly fat. Gr-oss. The gyoza’s looked like they came from a package and were hard and the edges were sharp. Overall, with the poor service and not-so-awesome food, I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant.
