We just got takeout from here for the first time. It’s fresh, tasty and mostly affordable, depending on what your order. The staff are super friendly and welcoming. It’s a tiny place, so don’t be surprised if you get there around 7pm and it’s full — there are only 10 or so tables. Looking forward to going back.

Exuberant greetings as you come through this intimate restaurant. The quality of the food is outstanding. The portions are generous. The service is attentive and courteous. I’ll be happy to come back every time I’m in this area and try the other items.

Once again, didn’t take any pictures as I was with a colleague and didn’t want to seem geeky, for the full story, read my review for«An Indian Affair». The spicy salmon sashimi was incredible, the Boston roll was unique(Scallop on top of Avocado, on top of smoked salmon), toro nigiri was very tasty, relatively large pieces and really fatty, and that was about it for«good» things to say about this place. To access the washroom, you have to walk through the kitchen, and you have to let them know you’re going to the washroom so they can say something(was in Japanese) to the kitchen staff. It was clean in the kitchen, and the washroom was clean, however still… first time I’ve had to walk through a kitchen(usually public should not be allowed in the kitchen as it CAN contaminate foods) to go to a washroom. Had a unagi nigiri… was very boney, ika nigiri was warm… extremely warm, like it was microwaved… wasabi was very mild, used up the chunk that came with the Boston roll and wasn’t spicy(compared to the usual other places I’ve been), may be a one off with the wasabi. Overall I would give them 3.5 stars, however no half stars are allowed :( I would still recommend you give this place a try and judge for yourself, however my only experience here wasn’t the greatest.

Public washroom was through the kitchen. Weird access. Felt really uncomfortable going through the kitchen where the food is prepared to use the washroom. Good was ok the best part was he spicy salmon sashimi and the rolls.

Really small place. Good food. They hooked us up with a free roll as well. Staff was not very attentive though.

Can’t say enough positive things about this place! We went here with our 10 month old daughter and they bent over backwards for us! Without us asking for it they brought out a high chair for her, when she dropped her pacifier on the floor the waitress took it in the back and sterilized it. While we were eating their delicious and reasonably prices sushi the waitress brought out a tiny plate with carrots, avocados, and oranges cut up in tiny pieces for our daughter without being asked and for free! AMAZING! Never experiences service like that anywhere else. EVER! Plus their sushi is awesome and so cheap!($ 3 – 4 per roll) wish I could give them a 7 out of 5!

Sushi should be about perfectly cooked rice and good quality fish. This place had neither. The rice was undercooked and crunchy. The salmon and tuna were tough and stringy. I won’t go back there again.

Nothing special here. Seaweed salad was great. Miso good. Sushi rolls just okay. Chefs came out and ate beside us. They watched a loud Japanese game show on a smart phone. Laughing and snorting beside us. Will never come back.

The best sushi I’ve ever had. FYI, I’ve been for sushi in Tokyo, Singapore and Hong Kong as well as sampling Japanese food in NY and London. Nikko was an excellent experience. The service was top notch and the food was sensational and priced very competitively. The most generous servings of sashimi ever! The tuna melts in your mouth. This is MUST. Check out my pics.

I would like to thank previous reviewers for reviewing this place. My family passed by Abbotsford on our road trip. The place is small, but service is pretty fast and very friendly. We ordered salmon combo, BC rolls, squid rolls, yam tempura and House roll. They are all delicious. Very nice presentation of the dishes. I wish Nikko Sushi were in our hometown, Houston, TX.

Amazing experience. I was at Abbotsford for the musical Beauty and the Beast and found this place through Unilocal.I had Tuna and Salmon sashimi, chicken yakisoba, and deep fried California roll. That’s right! Deep fried California roll. You won’t find that in Vancouver, and if you do let me know lol. All the food were delicious, and what impressed me was the sashimi, perfectly sliced, and the tuna as at the perfect temperature. The waitress that served us went above and beyond. Really friendly, really good manners, and amazed me with her multilingual skills =) Would visit again next time I am in Abbotsford!

Stopped by here before heading to a delayed flight out of the Abbotsford Airport. To be honest, I haven’t been to any other sushi joints around here but this place is pretty legit and it’s got to be, as Unilocal says, «as good as it gets» for this city. The food was good quality and it was definitely fresh. Impressive considering it’s located in the Fraser Valley.

I’m writing this review as I’m sitting inside Abbotsford airport waiting for my flight. I was just that impressed. Now, I never go to Abbotsford except for when I fly out from the airport, and so I can’t compare Nikko Sushi with other sushi restaurants in the city. But I was very pleasantly surprised at the quality level of this little establishment — I’d even say it’s on par, if not better than some sushi restaurants in Vancouver. We stopped at Nikko after a quick Google search for restaurants in Abbotsford, as we were flying out to Edmonton that day after a weekend trip visiting home(Vancouver) and Seattle. I was dying for one last sushi fix. The restaurant is quite small, probably no more than 10 tables. The servers were very friendly and my order was ready to go in 15 minutes. The BC roll was very good, probably the best I’ve had in recent memory(I prefer salmon skin in BC rolls). The Aloha roll and Negitoro roll were also delicious. I wasn’t so much a fan of the Dynamite roll; it seemed to lack the traditional amount of tempura shrimp indicative of a traditional Dynamite roll and was instead filled more with imitation crab filling. While we were waiting for our order, I noticed orders being brought to other tables. The sushi cones and salmon sashimi looked fresh and delicious, and it appears they offer sockeye salmon. When we later opened up our take-out boxes to eat, they had given us a free Volcano roll(basically a California roll in tempura batter with a sweet chili dipping sauce). We already had enough food as it was, but it was a nice touch. It’s a shame this place is all the way out in Abbotsford because I probably wouldn’t go out of my way to come here, but in the future, whenever I fly out from YXX in the future, Nikko will definitely be my pit-stop for awesome sushi. The food was delicious and the prices were reasonable. A solid sushi gem in Abbotsford.
