Águas do Iguaçu Hotel Centro

Agree with everything the two English reviewers have said. The exterior doesn’t look like much (compared to US standards but is pretty on par with other independent hotels in Foz do Iguacu, i.e. not Best Western or Sheraton) but it was a comfortable stay and had everything we needed, including 1 main English speaking person at the front desk and another who spoke basic English. We were able to ask them for recommendations on nearby churrascarias and many many questions on public transportation and how to get around, though I do also speak some basic Spanish.
For transportation, it is a 5 minute walk to the bus station (TTU) where there is a bus (Linha 120) to Cataratas (about an hour, with stops). Nearby, there are also international stops to Paraguay and Argentina.
The breakfast buffet also had a great selection of fruits, breads, and eggs. The rooms were reasonably sized and clean, had working TVs, and had a hair blow dryer. Best of all, it had a very hot shower which is really all I ask for after a long day of walking and jumping through the falls.

The hotel is not super fancy but the service was excellent. The entire hotel is super clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. You are close to everything you might need. The bus terminal is a five minute walk away. We went to Argentina for us $ 1.25. It’s all about the falls, and anyone coming for that should stay here. The breakfast buffet is as expansive as the falls. They arranged free shuttle service from and to the airport. No adapters needed in the room but bring one for the bathroom if you should need a grounded plug like I did to charge my laptop.

I gave this hotel 5 stars because of the service I received at check in. That alone raised their star level. First impression was good, so right away they scored a couple of stars. The employee at check in was very polite and assisted me with some change to pay the taxi driver. I only had U.S. Dollars and Paraguayan Guarani bills. Anyways, up one more star to 3 stars. Then we got help with our luggage, directions to local eateries and finally the room was nice and clean. The rooms aren’t 5 star quality like the ones you find in those expensive hotels, but they’re comfortable and clean. If in town, give this place a try. Might not be to everyone’s liking, but not everyone can be pleased all the time.

Hotel com ótima localização no centro da cidade, perto de bares, restaurantes, bancos, farmácias, do comércio em geral. Outra facilidade é estar a 470 metros do Supermercado Muffato e a 300 metros do Terminal Turístico Urbano, onde voce pode circular de ônibus por todas as belezas da cidade, como as Cataratas do Iguaçu, o Parque das Aves, o Marco das Tres Fronteiras, a Hidrelétrica de Itaipu e muitos outros. Preços ótimos, super acessíveis.

Sua localização é excelente. Atendimento cordial e estrutura boa para turistas que querem facilidade com preços menores.
