Vons Chicken Take Away & Delivery

As a korean, It’s a shame restaurant for fri chicken. I dont know it was only random or not, my chicken wasn’t fresh. It had been cooked before we ordered it. And salad quality was so bad with 2 cherry tomotoes and supermarket mayo ! Maybe its personal pespective but i was very upset having food there

Even though Vons Chicken is not a new player in the ever expanding fried chicken field in Perth, it could easily be overlooked. Most people said that they walked past the premise many times but didn’t pay enough attention to it. We were guilty of it too until two of our friends pestered us to try the chicken.
The most famous item from the menu is the golden fried chicken which was cooked perfectly, resulted in crispy skin glazed with sweet soy and tender flesh.
The extra spicy BBQ roast chicken was the one that I wanted to try for quite some time. I asked whether the chicken can be ordered in extra extra spicy sauce next time and she said that customers usually do that. My taste buds really like the sauce and next time I’m there I’ll ask for extra extra spicy sauce to be put on the chicken.
Another one that we ordered was the black vinegar with soy chicken. I think Hubby really like this one the most and was actually really perfect when combined with the extra hot sauce that Vons had in the menu (dipping sauce can be ordered for extra $ 1). I will definitely order this again next time.
There are a lot of golden fried chicken fans out there but Hubby and I preferred the roasted chicken more. There’s nothing special with the presentation and all chickens are served on a simple white plate but the staff that night were really friendly, especially the Lady Boss. A box of disposable plastic gloves, wet wipes and serviettes were available at the cashier area which I found really handy. A small bin for bones are available at each table. I also like how they sell $ 3 daikon (pickled radish) with generous serving as side dish.
Overall, Vons definitely sells a good chicken and the place is still quite popular with university students.

This restaurant always looks busy, that’s because it is so small. The Korean styled fried chicken restaurant is a little bit too expensive for my liking. What Vons need to realise is they are selling cheap a by-​product of eggs and not some premium whale meat. I ordered the $ 8.00 fried rice and the $ 13.95 BBQ chicken. The barbecue chicken consisted of two drumsticks and three chicken wings. The chicken flavour of the BBQ Chicken was delicious. I really enjoyed the sweetness of the sauce. Unfortunately $ 21.95 later I was still hungry.

You know they are serious about their chicken when gloves are provided and there is a bucket on the table for bones disposal.
Vons is a small Korean take away place on Albany Hwy in the heart of Vic Park.
There are only chicken wings and drumsticks available. You can choose fried, roasted, Soy vinegar, garlic, bbq or hot and spicy.
Sides are a bit limited but just right (rice, salad and chips) because the star of the show is definitely the chicken!
I must say, chicken cooked to perfection and in my opinion is the best chicken wings/​drumstick I had in Perth. Price is more expensive than your average chicken fast food outlet but the quality is much superior.
Owners are friendly and the place gets completely pack, so take away can be a good option. Can’t wait to go back and try some other chicken flavours.

Chicken, chicken and more chicken, that’s what this places speciliases in. And they make it well. The chook here is so good in fact, I thought the place might have been run by Portugese, but it’s owned and operated by cute Koreans.
I’ve tried a couple of smaller items on the menu, each cooked to perfection and tasty as. They do a lunch special here of two pieces of chicken, cooked the way you like it, with a side of fried rice.
Whether its deep-​fried, marinated, charred, garlic-​infused, have your chook made anyway you want.
The shop itself is a little smokey when it gets packed by patrons, but then too many customers is always a good sign.
