Went there for late breakfast /lunch one Sunday morning. I ordered a Ceaser Salad with anchovies. Unfortunately they didn’t have any anchovies :(so I switched to Eggs Benedict. Unfortunately I paid for that with a tummy ache. I think it was the Hollandaise sauce. Overall, not impressed but typical of many cafes around the place. Some may find it okay.

Pretty ordinary, 80s fare. Focaccia anyone? Not a lot of atmosphere. Felt a little bit like one of those display homes. Awful coffee. Espresso was way too long, and bitter, and expensive.

Cool little café in Syndal, which is really picking up as an area. When I first moved in to the neighbourhood I went looking for a decent cup of coffee and my search came up fruitless, but I think I was suffering from a lack of caffeine and the minimal observation skill that come along with that. It’s behind a tree, y’see. Trees are very good at concealing things. If you’re in the area and don’t want to go to busy Kingsway, then Karizma is the place to go. It’s often busy, but the coffee is decent and the food is good. They don’t have much in the way of gluten-free, though, so I can’t really speak on what it’s like for lunch. Best in summer, the huge windows let in some beautiful light. Except for the one behind the tree.
