Central and convenient location.
Was refurbished at the start of the year so it’s a lot more spacious now.
Prices a lot better than Coles too, more specials!

Woolworths is a grocery chain? I thought I had been given a bad bit of information when I asked where the nearest grocery store was located, for in the States, if there are even Woolworths left, they are the old «five and dime» type stores that stock a bunch of stiff but not groceries.
But here it was. Conveniently located to my hotel on the lower level of the mall (another misnomer for me for I was told it was on the 2^nd level, which I automatically assumed was upstairs and not down) plenty of fresh produce, lots of fresh deli items and even a number of drug store items.
The check out was fast and effiencient and I loved that credit card orders under $ 35 do not require a signature.
All in all super convenient, decent prices and a large selection for a city center location.

Woolworths has figured out that it can steal an insane amount of CBD customers, given Coles has not decided to provide any discounting in its CBD stores (excluding World Square).
Every week at this Woolworths, you see the same yellow stickers which you would expect across all stores, chocolate, chips, chocolate, ice cream and beauty products, DOWN DOWN and STAYING DOWN. For this reason, this Woolworths gets a comparative 5 for providing a customer with the same level of purchasing surplus which they would get if they bought the same consumption bundle at Blacktown.
Another reasons to love this store is the bakery items, I’m not sure if they’re baked fresh but they make damn awesome cheese and bacon rolls. Today the cheese and bacon roll I had had cheese coming off all corners and heart attack quantities of bacon attached. It was my foodie dream but a nightmare for my arteries.
There are however some peeves about this Woolworths that make me downgrade my rating to a 4. Fruit and vegetables seem to be hyper inflated here. How can one eat healthily when the prices are ridiculously expensive? Additionally, there is the most unprofessional serving lady. I cringe every time I am the unfortunate person who gets allocated to her terminal. She is middle aged, European and cant get grocery scanning correct. She has double scanned, single items a few times, each time refusing to acknowledge it was wrong for 5 minutes. Today she blamed for not having 5 cents to make her life easier with change and is usually just unprofessional and annoying.
So shop here for the discounts and cheese and bacon rolls and try to get self service. You will be happy.
