Pretty much a tourist trap… food is not fresh or tasty, poor service, and probably the most expensive sushi train in the CBD I might add. Not sure how they’re still open after all these years… for the price you pay here you should just go to Makoto 80 metres away… or if you want to pay just $ 3 a dish walk 250 metres to Sushi Rio.

I did not enjoy my sushi roll. They were huge but that’s about the only positive thing I can think of. The rice was sticky and under seasoned. The seaweed sat out too long and was no longer crispy. The filling was less than the rice with absolutely no flavor. There are so many choices around World Square you won’t miss anything from not having this.

Sushi here is not good. Unless you’re one of those who hate raw seafood. Then you’ll like this place. The fish is hidden under mayonnaise and heavy sauces to coverup the seafood.

Price varies per dishes so be aware of colours otherwise you will be surprised when you check out. With higher price, quality and quantity of each dish is a little bit better than other places. You have to call staffs every time you order anything that is not on the train

Everything is fried or covered in slimy creamy sauce. I walked away feeling like I might as well have eaten a cheeseburger and actually enjoyed it. If you want proper Japanese sushi don’t come here. It feels like it’s catered to «westerners» but it’s an epic fail, Sydney-siders like authentic food!

Had a late lunch here. Pretty average food, but it was nicely presented. Had to call someone over to order even though staff were just standing around talking. Ho-hum experience.

This is the worst sushi roll bar I have ever been. I’ve been to all over the world including Japan and the service and the food quality is unspeakably bad at this location. When asked for, not only they charge green tea and miso soup, the staffs are horrible to deal with. The staffs talk Korean behind customers back and the sushi rolls are too sweet and disgusting.

The cafés in and around World Square are usually pretty hit and miss(that is, unless you’re headed to the top floor dumpling mecca that is Din Tai Fung). Sushi Roll sushi train on the ground level, on the other hand, is a safe bet for freshly made, interesting sushi combos, meal deals and fair prices. The place isn’t too big — just the central train filled with hard-working sushi maestros, plus a few tables and a couple of fridges dotted around the place. The CBD lunch rush means service here is fast, but they always take the time to farewell customers properly on their way out the door. I used to work close by and would regularly stop in for lunch. While the inside-out salmon and avocado roll speckled with bright orange roe and the freshly deep-fried, crispy tempura prawn roll are consistently tasty, I’ve got a much better inside tip: if you arrive for a late lunch after 2pm, they start serving up a freshly made, special dish. I have no idea what the name is, but basically it’s a piece of salmon wrapped around mushed up avocado with a dollop of mayo and fish roe on top, then they lightly char the salmon with a blow torch. It. Is. Phenom.
