Just opened June 2015 and the jury will be out if this place will survive. It is a mum and dad Vietnamese eatery located smack bang in the middle of Korea Town on Pitt Street. I guess they will survive for a while as they own the building so rent is not an issue but the place does feel amateurish from the basic home printed menus in plastic folders and homely décor. The place is licensed to seat 60 people as there is also an upstairs area. I ordered the net spring rolls as an entrée and they were okay and came with 2 different types of chilli sauce as well as green mango amongst the bed of lettuce and cucumber. For a main, I had the rice noodle soup with seafood and I was pleasantly surprised as the broth was clean and they used proper prawns, not the chemically enhanced crunchy frozen prawns you often find in Asian eateries. The portion was quite large which went towards justifying the price. I would return to try a few more dishes and it does feel like having home cooked Vietnamese food. The owners are friendly and the wait staff are full of smiles.
