I use to visit around the corner for work so found this place and claimed it! It is a cool vibe, with good coffee, great bagels and a lunch deal that is reasonable for Sydney prices. This became a regular lunch spot for me, but beware, the Halloumi bagel is definitely addictive — the pesto flavour, sesame seeds on top and perfect squeak to the Halloumi is a match made in heaven. When in the area, I am drawn like a moth to a flame!

In the search for good bagles in Sydney, this placed came highly recommend from Unilocal. And I wasn’t disappointed. It is a charming little hole in the wall café. Their bagels are fantastic. And at 7 or so dollars each they are a great price. They offer both vegitarian and meat bagles and for under $ 10 you can grab a bagel and a coffee. They also offer plenty of yummy banked goods! Worth a visit!

Love this place! Healthy bagels with delicious coffee — they use Campos beans. They have a great deal where you can get a bagel with a coffee for under $ 10. Really yummy salads come with the bagels too. :)

Consistent exceptional coffee. Great hole in the wall style coffee store with a few tasty bagel options. Coffee is a $ 1 when you buy a bagel!

Coffee was good but not great. There is better coffee around. This is because it is campos coffee, which I personally think is average. But I am a bit of a snub. However, the actual café is awesome and the atmosphere is cool. But if you just want coffee not worth the trek.

I always wondered why there was a line to what appeared to be a run down window outside a hardware store. Now I know why: fabulous coffee and heavenly bagels! As one who does not really know the difference between bad coffee and average coffee, I think this coffee tasted like what real coffee should be: creamy, smooth froth and only a slight bitter taste at the end. I really should get coffee there again soon now after thinking about that coffee. Their bagels are also mouthwatering, I had the haloumi and avocado. The bread was toasted perfectly, crispy on the outside but still a tiny bit of softness and chewiness in the middle. Best bagel I’ve had in Sydney so far. Okay I’m going to stop I’m getting hungry now. Just pay this place a visit you will see why there is a line.

If you want an amazing coffee combined with some tasty bagels filled with all kinds of food stuffs then this is your place. Campos coffee is served up here to perfection. The only downside is that there is is not the largest seating area to enjoy the goods. Look for the crowd hanging outside the hardware store and you’ve found it.

I was heading to Rogers shoe shop in Redfern(a must for high quality/low price/superior customer service), so decided to see what cafes are in the area. Based on the other reviews, I picked Coffee Tea & Me. They have a bagel and coffee promo, and as the lover of a bargain, this was a further attraction. It was around 2.30pm, and unfortunately the very popular vegan bagel option was all sold out. So I settled for just a piccolo latte. While watching my piccolo being made, I chatted to the very friendly staff. As a keen social cyclist, I enquired about the bike seat seating /ironing board tables mentioned in earlier reviews. Unfortunately council deemed this as unsafe and they were removed. They greeted the regulars by name. A lovely gesture that goes a long way in building long term relationships. This was my first visit, and it won’t be the last. Next time I pop in to see Roger the shoe man, I’ll also pop in at Coffee Tea & Me. I’ll also remember to go earlier to ensure I get the vegan bagel /coffee promo.

I agree with the other reviewers, Coffee, Tea & Me have etched out perfect café chemistry, somehow magically pulling it from a tiny hole in the wall. It’s cheap, they sell great tasting Campos coffee, and the bagel-coffee deals make for a seriously cheap lunch. The outdoor seating gives this part of Redfern Street a bit of life(and probably pisses off the people who are actually waiting for the bus near the café).(C’mon you lazy hipsters, give the pensioners waiting for the 309 a seat.) One hot February day I took the plunge and ordered the iced coffee. Despite the fact that they forgot about it — when I finally got it, it was amazing, think: good coffee meets a thickshake. It tasted like America, but super caffeinated. Another time I managed to get shat on by a cockatoo, or some other large avian creepy thing… and the staff were nice enough to let me squeeze into their little shop to wash up a bit. Oh yeah, and just for the record, I had already finished my coffee when I got covered in bird excrement, thank f*ck.

I go to this palce every morning on my walk to work. It is the perfect take away coffee joint. It truly is a hole in the wall with barely enough space inside for two people to stand side by side to order their coffee. The beans are Campos and good if you like your coffee creamy and smooth(personally, I could use a little more kick). There are a few tables and chairs scattered around outside, my mum loves the bicycle seat stools, but the main game here is take away coffee. The staff are really friendly and lovely and they pretty much all know my name and my coffee order these days. The food is kept simple with bagels, baked goods and some yoghurt. I just can’t walk by of a morning without stoppign for coffee, and that’s got to be a good thing, right?

Campos Coffee. Need I say more? OK, so how about $ 1 coffees with bagels? Sold yet? I feel that although this is a newish small café in Redfern, it plays hardball with the surrounding cafes, most of which are more established, larger, and unsurprisingly less busy — maybe the clientele are just better here. I absolutely love the coffee roasted indie-hipster charm, only made possible by the vibrant and chatty staff, as they have always remember my regular order, and even my name on occasion. I do go by two names, so it does make it hard for them. I’d point you in the direction of the hard to miss, outdoor seating — ‘bike-seat-turned-stool’ chairs, and ironing board tables that adjourn the red brick façade that face onto Redfern St. If you miss out on the hand-stitched leather saddles, pick up a milk crate, and soak up the sun on the sunniest spot in Redfern. Dig into the incredibly tasty, and somewhat greasy(although that’s what makes them so damn tasty) bagels, which are also delicious for your wallet, as you’ll be able to pick up a $ 1 campos coffee with every bagel snapped up.
