06⁄2015 Pretty much perfect, the only complaint is when you ask for«very spicy» it is still only medium at best. Otherwise it would be 5 stars. Would be good if they accepted AMEX as well. 10⁄2015 update, they now take menulog(which accepts Amex).

We had a really enjoyable meal at Wok Station. Vegetarian options were nice and the tofu was very tasty. We had pretty good service and a tasty relaxing meal. There was a lot of takeaway going on so that’s probably an option if you are local.

The food here was excellent. We had spring rolls, pad thai(pork) and«pad Australia» which was rice noodles with vegetables, chicken, and peanut satay sauce. Everything was really good, fresh meats and vegetables, and reasonably priced for the area. Loved it!

Thankfully it’s not a train station or this could be a messy review. This is an interesting Thai restaurant on the quieter side of Pyrmont opposite the Harlequin Inn. The people watching is spectac. If you manage to bag an outdoor lunchtime table ur in for a visual treat. The chicken pad kra pao was spicy as all get out, they chilied that puppy to the max(read super duper hot). It also came with a fried egg, which added another dimension entirely. So, the food was good :) However, the service was almost non existent. It was slow and lacked urgency(i.e. care factor zero). Took forever to order; Had to ask for water; Had to ask for more water; Dishes came out all different times; Had to ask for table clear & bill. If you aren’t in a hurry and have all day to hang at a restaurant this spot should do ya. For anyone else that’s after a faster feed, I’d recommend somewhere else.

I finally ventured out here after a few friends raved about this place… and I have to say that their ravings are warranted. But first, they need to do something about the name of this place, Wok Station… I envisioned a cheap Chinese takeaway and was pleasantly surprised to discover this is not even close. GOOD! I started with the Executive Curry Puff since it challenged me by saying it’s the best curry puff I’ll ever have. Considering I’ve only had curry puffs less than 10 times and don’t really think to myself, «This is the best damn curry puff I’ve ever had!» They are correct by default… since they put the idea into my brain. The Thai Iced Tea is a MUST… now if they put this is the best thai iced tea in the menu I would say to that, hell to the yes! We ordered the Duck Curry and the Lamb Rib Curry, which is basically a Massaman Curry. The Duck Curry was great, just enough kick of spice but not overkill and the duck was tender. The Lamb Rid Curry was merely OK, the lamb was overcooked and dry, but the curry was nice. If I had a date and we planned on going to The Star, I would definitely bring her here beforehand if we didn’t want to eat at The Star. Quiet neighbourhood, good food, and you won’t break the bank. Not my favourite Thai place but definitely way up there. Me gusta.

I’m not sure why I only gave it 4 stars last review, but after last night I definitely bumping it up to 5! Again probably my favorite Thai spot in the city and seriously a hidden gem for those that love Thai. The Thai Milk Tea is a MUSTGET! I never got this before till recently and it was sooooo good. Though there seem to be a limited amount available as my friend wasn’t able to order one after I did. If you have to try something here then try the milk tea, but I assure you everything else on the menu is just as good. Also pretty legit Curry Puff which is light and not too much of an overwhelming filling. They claim it to be the best in the city and they might be on to something. If you haven’t been to Wok Station yet then you are seriously missing out.

4.5 — edging on 5 stars. It’s about time to get this place on the map. Don’t let it’s horribly chosen name fool you, Wok Station is a legit Thai restaurant nestled in the quiet ‘burb of Pyrmont. Ambiance: –I’ll admit, it’s easy to miss this place despite being right on the corner — mainly because it looks like an Italian place. –And when you walk in, your suspicions of Wok Station once being an Italian restaurant are confirmed. It totally used to be Italian. The place is cozy, with darkened lighting and candles. Overall, romantic and cute. –Date place — but casual! Guys, you could bring a girl here, impress her, but not break the bank. Just a tip. Food: –After eating at Chat Thai, Home Thai, Spice I Am(both restaurants), and House, Wok Station is definitely the best. –Today, we just shared 3 dishes — a beef salad, the pad kee mao, and a delicious fried chicken with rice. All dishes were stellar, beautifully presented, and absolutely yums. –In the past, Wok Station does an amazing job with it’s soups, curry, and grilled barramundi. –I think what makes Wok Station taste so good is it’s right amount of spice. It isn’t super spicy in comparison to other places and the ingredients they use are very fresh. In fact, I was in Thailand about a month or so ago and the food is similar — if not better. Thus, Wok Station gets #winning points Good-to-Know: –Other great things about this place — because it’s not that popular yet and a bit out of the way, there’s no wait. –Additionally, it’s not crowded either — so you can hear yourself, your friend/date that you’re with, not have to share tables, and get amazing service. Hopefully, this post doesn’t change that. Great, hidden, gem :)

Walking up Miller Street towards Harris Street in Pyrmont an aroma usually hits me. No not the foul odour of the fish markets but a pleasant aroma from Wok Station. It’s a great little Asian restaurant that does the usual noodles, curries and stir fries. And does them well! It is quite small so if you go there during it’s peak you may be forced into having take away. If there is room you can choose from the few tables inside or out on the foot path. It’s a bit of a staple for me and without fail leaves me very full and content. If you’re ever around the area and there is a waft in the air — a good one — follow your nose and head to Wok Station.
