As far as Indian food in Perth, this place wins. I love it here. When you come in. Don’t order, let the owner order for you. Let the authentic Indian flavours flow. No matter what you order you’ll love it. It’s so authentic. Love love love it.

Been there on Saturday night, the venue was pretty busy. Downfall was that the service was very slow, just not enough people on the floor for a busy night. We ordered lamb vindaloo and palak paneer with rice and naan. We settled on medium hot vindaloo, for my taste it wasn’t medium it was more towards mild, even though waiter said hotness would be 7⁄10. So if you like it spicy order hot. With that being said both of the dishes were really tasty. portion sizes were very generous, two curries were more than enough for two people. Nice atmosphere, however can be a bit loud on a busy night. On my to go back list.

This has to be the best Indian food around Perth. I have been here three or four times now and I have never been disappointed. Excellent service. Quick and fresh. I like the fact that you can explore and find new dishes. I thoroughly recommend it.

Hmmm, more like 3.5 stars, I think. Situated in «old» East Perth, on Bennett Street, opposite a rather tacky and imposing chinese restaurant, you’ll find the oddly named Chill & Grill. I say oddly named as I had no idea I was accepting an invitation to an *Indian* restaurant until I was seated inside. The proprietor was a very charming, personable man who is obviously proud of his establishment and who is very accommodating. He is also keen for your feedback, without being too pushy. The waitress was really sweet and polite. The food was delicious. We shared 5 curry dishes: lamb, chicken, vegie, prawn and goat, the latter being the standout, but all had me going for seconds. The let downs were the tired décor, the hurricane frigid airco(must be the«chill» part of the restaurant’s title) and perhaps the prices? $ 23 on average for a pot of curry. I don’t know, is that a couple of dollars higher than elsewhere? Worth a try if you’re in the area for the flavours alone. But take a cardie.
