We tried Caffeitalia for takeaway pizza(all in the name of State of Origin!). I must admit — on first seeing the pizza I was a bit disappointed as it looked a bit sparse and it was a little cold(our fault for being late to pick up). However any reservations I had were quickly displaced as the pizza was YUMMY! The base was floppy, but the overall taste was fantastic and I’d definitely go back to try more of their pizzas.

Very good Italian Restaurant. Pizza was excellent and the salad was good. The service was excellent and prices were reasonable.

This is among my favourite Italian restaurants. Very good quality of food, huge portions, excellent prices! I am a regular fan for the last 3 years!

We’ve been here a few times, both for a relaxed dinner and for food with colleagues. The pluses include that it’s authentic(owned and run by an Italian family and with many employees that are also Italian), that the menu contains all the classics, and that it has a bustling(in a good way) atmosphere. We’ve had pretty nice food for sure, but unfortunately some lowlights as well. A recent gnocchi, in particular, was terrible. It was so chewy it was unworthy of any italian restaurant really, but especially one that prides itself on being the real deal. The place is nearly always busy, but I only recently discovered there is a second dining area in the back. This room I’d definitely try to avoid as the furniture is a bit uncomfortable(especially the very ‘deep’ bench), you’ll miss the airy front room, and the service is less attentive.

This place is great. My office is nearby so I seem to eat here a lot but honestly why wouldn’t I? Never had a bad meal, as a couple, table of four or larger group of 10+. Everything is good. Pizza, pasta, seafood, meat, I’ve had it all at different times. Wait staff are very good, professional, knowledgeable and importantly, Italian. If you have a table of maybe six or more don’t order an entrée but just ask them to bring you a selection. Arancini, squid, focaccia and more. Good, authentic Italian. This could be Rome.

Our favorite Italian restaurant in Perth! The best pizza there is. If there is sword fish on the specials it’s a must have. We’ve been regulars for the past four years and go there at least once a month. The owner and most staff are Italian, this is genuine Italian food and service.

I’m surprised by the enthusiasm from my fellow reviewers for Caffeitalia. For me, this was place was very very ordinary. I ate alone, being in Perth on business, so was limited to trying only my own order. I had the salade tricolore(spinach, tomato and mozzarella) which was pretty good and the scaloppine del funghi which really wasn’t. Scaloppine was gummy and cloying, with very bland flavor. Think of a thick béchamel with a hint of mushroom flavor plus a couple of large thickly sliced portobellos mixed in. Accompanying vegetables weren’t too bad, though. I had to use liberal quantities of salt to make it palatable which is definitely a bad sign. Wine list was acceptable. I don’t typically eat desserts and given their desserts were obvious brought in from a food company(along with stock menu), I certainly wasn’t tempted.

Would be a strong 3, a 3.5 if available. Great food but sometimes too spicy. When very busy, what is common before 9pm, food is a bit dry, seems«rushed». Staff is 100% Italian, very nice on their specific way. ;)

Hello Perth! Well for those who live here, you are keeping this place a well kept secret If you want food that’s taste like it does in Italy this is the place to go Seriously all that was missing was the cranky arrogant Italian waiters and«mystery» tax applied to bills especially when in Rome When you come to Perth, make sure you come here!

Overpriced specials, corkage for wine that was not even poured for us, and pushed out the door as soon as the bill was paid. Being eye balled by the owner and finger pointed out to waiting patrons in and out within an hour what should be a pleasant dining experience felt like a rushed money grab

Finally I found a good Italian restaurant near work! Located in East Perth on Hay street, is small and cosy. All waiters and the owner are italians, good sign for an Italian restaurant. Very friendly service. Had the Spaguetti Al Frutti Di Mare and it was outstanding! Pasta was cooked to perfection with squid, clams, prawns and mussels. Loved how they gave us a big bowl of parmesan cheese on the side, and the fresh chilli in olive oil sauce went perfectly with my pasta. Got to go back to try other dishes. Not a cheap meal but I’m a big fan of this place.

Amazing place for dinner. Fantastic service despite the restaurant being full. They are very busy on Saturday nights, make sure you have a booking, some groups who did not book were asked to wait and some were asked to come back later. I found it was rather loud due to the amount of people in the restaurant but the food was worth trying to hear my partner over the noise. My partner and I had the specials. I had barramundi and he had veal cutlets. We were both very happy with our meals. Good size, good price. Highly recommend this place if you make a booking

The food and atmosphere was incredible. It took us a bit to get in but it was a Saturday night. I had the lasagna and side salad — very tasty and everything else looked amazing too. Very authentic Italian. I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

Very busy restaurant, tightly packed with tables, so be prepared for noise. But the service is excellent, and the food fantastic, a great choice in Perth. Being a vegatarian there were a few choices for mains, raviloi and gnocchi, have had them both now and found them to be excellent. Recommend getting there early to avoid the crowd, and placing a reservation to ensure a table.

A colleague and I walked by this place and there was always a line outside so we decided to give it a shot. To avoid the line we went early on a Tuesday night after making a reservation. The space is tight so expect no privacy. The service is efficient and friendly. If you like calamari, have it as the starter. The breading is thin and its cooked just right. I had the bone-in ribeye and my friend had the gnocchi. Both were excellent. Even before our starter came out, the restaurant was packed with people waiting outside. Overall, I give this place high marks for the their friendly service and the efficiency which they handle the crowds… and the food is pretty good as well. Stay sexy my friends!

Very busy – seems like the only game in the area. Appears to be genuinely Italian, with Italian waitstaff and gruff maitre d’ who goes up to patrons lingering at their table and starts clearing and telling them there’s a long line of people waiting to eat(which there is). Food is fine, but nothing special – had specials of spagetti with clams & lamb shank, both fine, but not remarkable. Service OK, but after asking for the check twice, our waitress said she’d tried to get it but the head guy wasn’t responding & for us to go to the front & say we were from table 2. Which we did & managed to get out. Not sure why unwilling to produce a check when he wants to clear tables(?) Also, what is with the lighting in Perth restaurants? It is universally awful, with fluorescent lights, halogen in your eyes, all creating an over bright, unpleasant atmosphere. Weird!
