I’ve eaten at so many Hyatt’s this year for breakfast that I may be a bit jaded. These include one in Houston(TX, USA), Denver(CO, USA), Busan(South Korea), Singapore, and now in Perth(Australia). Their standard breakfast fair is a buffet that features a wide variety of cultural delights. I saw noodles, fried rice, oatmeal, pancakes, spinach, tomatoes, mushrooms bacon, sausage, deli sliced meats and cheeses, fresh fruit and fresh juices in addition to a short order cook who will prepare eggs to your liking. I’m sure I’ve missed a few items, but you get the idea. As a girl who follows the Paleo diet, having a jar of honey on the table that I can use for my coffee makes my day. No awkward moments of the staff looking at you like you’re nuts for putting honey in your coffee. No need to worry about being fully awake when you initially sit down so you remember to make your odd request. It’s awesome. All of the Hyatt’s I’ve visited have this«perk.» The restaurant wasn’t too busy around 9:00 am, as I’m sure most of the business travelers had eaten earlier. The service was friendly, polite and prompt and the seating area was quiet and relaxing. The buffet closes at 10:00 am, so be sure to roll out of bed early enough to catch it.

Had a voucher that was won as part of a Fundraiser and four of us went to the Café for dinner on a Saturday night. Service was attentive and very helpful when it came to our reservation not being in the books(even if it was called 3 months in advance) we had a short wait and were promptly seated a lovely table. The Month of May had Italian Month and you could have fresh Gnocchi and various other item from Italy made in front of your or just dig into the Buffet itself. Seafood lovers were over the moon the oysters were so fresh and tasty it was hard to move onto the rest of the food, the same goes for the prawns and salmon. Cheese selection was to die for and if you thought something was missing like blue cheese, all you had to do was ask and the friendly staff would re plenish the stock. The sweets were also tantalising and by the time you get here you wish you hadn’t worn a lovely dress and instead elasticated pants for more room. It is a buffet and yes you can eat until you have a food coma, however I would have to say it was on the higher side compared to Sizzler or the local Chinese all you can eat. Will be back even is it is only for the Seafood and Cheese selection

We stayed at the Hyatt for 3 weeks in June/July and ate very well there. We went to dinner many times at «Café». Some evenings the food selection and dishes were better than others, but when they were good, wow they were fantastic! One thing is for certain there is a lot of food to choose from and something there for everyone’s taste. The staff are very good indeed, friendly, welcoming and attentive. We were offered menus but we always ate the luxury buffet style dining — where you go up and help yourself and the chefs help to serve you over the counter. There really is a lot of variety and most nights we dined there it was very delicious and of a great quality. We ate so much, make sure you have a good appetite! There are the following separate counters: seafood, breads, salad & cold meats, varied main dishes & meats, vegetables & side dishes, and a HUGE dessert & ice cream selection which was my favourite counter! There is something here for everyone from all walks of life cooked to a very high standard and it really did feel like a treat dining there. I have to add also that Perth Hyatt fries via room service are the best I have ever tasted! The room service is absolutely fantastic too. We enjoyed our stay at the Hyatt very much. :)

My absolute favourite place to go for dinner! I have been going to the hyatt for about 6 years now, the price has not increased in that time($ 60, drinks extra). The buffet isnt as large as the atrium and doesnt offer as much variety, but what they do offer is amazing. The woodfired pizzas, the freshly cooked steaks and salmon. The seafood section is fantastic, the fresh prawns, baby octopus and oysters are what keep me coming back. I definately get my $ 60 worth of just seafood. The desert bar will cater for everyone with a selection of icecreams, cakes, mousses, jellies and fruit. The sticky date pudding is delicious. The manager is such a lovely man, over the years we have became familliar with one another and often have a quick chat, he usually offers me free tea ond coffee. The staff are always very friendly and attentive, i cannot fault the Hyatt Café one bit.

The Hyatt is one of those esteemed establishments that are meant to be a cut above the rest. The café is supposed to be the crème de la crème of cafés out there — or at least come close. Right? Wrong. The café is a rather disappointing affair. The coffee is average, with a bitter aftertaste, and the food is not worth the price tag. If you not pressed for time, then there are better cafés near the CBD.

Oooooh yeah — pricey, but damned good. The Hyatt Café is the ultimate in buffet breakfasts. The selection of food is HUGE — sausages, beans, eggs, bacon, a large range of pastries, toast, pancakes, fruits and yoghurt… There is simply no way you can eat it all, but you know you’re gonna try. If you’re splurging on a night at the Hyatt, definitely dine at the café the next morning.

When I think of a buffet style Restaurant I think of some huge Vegas or Sizzler place with huge amounts of fatty bad food that will send you into a food coma or hospital for food poisoning. This is definitely no the case with The Hyatt Regency Perth’s Café. The very modern interactive restaurant serves buffet or al le carte Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and also a very famous Hi Tea on the weekends. The staff at Café are very professional and friendly; the chefs make the food on the spot in front of you, whilst having a friendly conversation with you. So unlike most other buffet restaurants I have been to this means the food you eat is fresh and still warm! If you’re thinking of going to Café one big piece of advice I can give you is go with an empty stomach and big appetite, the food is so good. They have a cold section with seafood, cold meats and salads, a hot section with wood-fired pizzas pastas, and a selection of hot meat, poultry and seafood. My favourite though is the dessert station; you must save room for this, especially if you are a sweet tooth like me. I have tried the breakfast, lunch, dinner and Hi Tea at Café, they are all awesome.
