Once I parked and walked past the Back Packers and bars to find this place I was really looking forward to eating my dinner. Seeing the next door kebab shop I chuckled with self importance at how I wasn’t going to be eating that night club patron muck and would be eating a gourmet burger like a civilized person. My heart dropped when the kebab chef saw me approaching and left his station to enter Monster to serve me! Immediately I felt cheated and was not looking forward to the result. But I was soon to be very surprised! The burger was great! The bun had a slightly Turkish bread texture to it and no, it wasn’t because it was stale. Fresh salad, crisp tomato and freshly fried onion rings. The only things letting it down was the lack of an atmospheric place to eat(just some small tables in the middle of the lane) and no cans of coke. But I could easily overlook that and come back again.

The burgers here are better and cheaper than another very popular burger chain store in the area. Eating here is definitely the better option especially as it is an independent store with independent thought but into the menu, prices and options. It just proves that good burger places do not haveto be upmarket and expensive and also that cheap burger places do not haveto be dingy and tasteless.

I’d never even heard of this place before and my friend said I had to try it. Now I am a real burger person, i’d say most people are, and if you are one of those people, you have to try this place! I had the most delicious veggie burger, accompanied by crunchy delicious onion rings. I enjoyed every last bite of the juicy burger, in delicious turkish bread with an amazing aioli sauce, it was amazing. The whole experience was really great with some amazing customer service.

This little gem popped up out of nowhere right next to my old place in Northbridge. I circled it a few times like a cat, trying to suss out if I wanted to give it a shot or not. Eventually I caved, dragged my house mates down so that I didn’t have to sate my curiosity alone. The menu is pretty impressive for an independent burger joint, offering beef, chicken, lamb and vegetarian options(and not just one of each), as well as an array of delicious sauces and extras to choose from. I kept it simple though, with a chicken BLT but was pleasantly surprised. Juicy chicken and crunchy bacon would have made the burger alone, but the delicious Turkish bun brought it all together. A shared onion rings went pretty quickly between the three of us too. I’d recommend grabbing some extra napkins though, if you don’t want a lap full of sauce when you’re leaving.
