In a word: humble LTN aren’t trying to be anything far-out or overblown, just a warmhearted place with quality comfort food, at reasonable prices. Coffee is strong and the home style brunch has that(currently trending) American-Canadian twang. Boston Beans with poached egg are warming and delicious. A rich tomato sugo seeps through the rye bread forming soggy tomato-y goodness. This is the kind of food and feeling you fancy on an overcast/antisocial/hungover day. If you’re on a diet, take full use of the table service and avoid the counter at all costs. The sweets are deadly! Peanut butter is a favoured ingredient.

The tucked-away location of this place makes it a peaceful little spot to have a thoughtful catch-up. The breakfast menu is very reasonable — poached eggs on toast $ 9.50. I noticed a couple of canadian and american influences too, like the Montréal french toast with maple syrup, bacon etc., the Boston beans and the NYC Reuben sandwich. The service is friendly, relaxed. The coffee was a bit too strong for my liking, otherwise a great breakfast experience that I plan on repeating.

If you’re into great coffee, and even better cake(and I mean, fresh daily made absolute mind blowing deliciousness that’s going straight to your hips, not that I could care less about that but just a heads up), you gotta stop in here. Check out my photo of the Walnut/Peacan pie they were rocking out a week or two back… epic. They also have a great tasty small selection of lunch options. Itsaaaaaaaaawlgooooooooood!

For providing a slightly different take on both breakfast & lunch, having warm and friendly staff and making a brilliant cup of coffee LTN is worth the short wander down the allay to discover it. Even with so many good coffee spots in Northbridge to chose from LTN has never failed to disappoint me.

I’ve walked past this café a few times and had made a mental note of checking it out. Finally the day has come when I was given the task of choosing a breakfast place of my choice. 1st impressions: Friendly happy staff, delicious looking sweets on the counter, temperature in the café was nice and cool(the morning was quickly warming up), chilled-out ambiance, very well priced menu e.g. variety of jaffles for $ 5 and BLT bagels $ 9.50. I ordered a piccolo latte and the Savoury cheese and cornmeal scone filled with bacon, egg, spinach, aioli and tomato relish for $ 9.50. It was delicious. Officially all three eateries LTN, Superstar Waffles and Is Donburi) in that Arcade are in my top eating lists.

Located on Arcade 189 on William street, just behind Ezra Pound, with a car park facing it’s «take out» window, Love Thy Neighbour is filled with love. Wooden tables and chairs line the interior and scattered around the entrance of the arcade, as well as facing the car park. i went here today for a lovely lunch with a gf of mine and had the creamed corn on rye bread with avocado rocket salad tomato relish and bacon. The cream corn is absolutely delish — sweet and strong flavours of turmeric. Just don’t stain your white cardigan like i did! The rocket salad was also rather appetizing and usually rocket salads are too bitter but this was actually sweet and slightly tangy through it. Great dressing on it! Apart from that the staff there are lovely, they have great Toby Estate coffee and a range of teas and lovely cakes and amazing brownies. And to top it off their menu is rather fairly priced and offers New York style café foods, consisting of Bagels(salmon bagel is pretty amazing and so filling at $ 8! and can chose from poppy seed, rye, plain and another one I can’t remember. sorry!), Jaffles, New York Rueban Sandwich, Flatini and a bit of nod to Asian cuisine — Vietnamese Rolls. Love Thy Neighbour is a great local place to grab coffee, cake and a quick cheap bite of lunch or brunch. They service is lovely, attentive and as it’s still rather new it wasn’t too busy and not too packed, even during the lunch rush, which is nice. Only disappointing this was they advertised this fritter on the blackboard and on the menu but i was told that they were fazing it out? Why advertise it when it’s not available? I wish they didn’t do that!

I am not sure what draws me to this place time and time again. It could be the Mississippi Mud Pies(even more amazing than they sound), or the fact that they use real buffalo mozzarella(harder to find than it sounds), the achingly cool people serving up delicious coffee(Toby’s Estate) or the even more achingly cool arcade that it calls home? I think it’s a combination of all of the above, and so much more. LTN is a paradox. The type of place that you want to keep a secret for yourself, yet at the same time, tell everyone you know about it. My only gripe is with the coffee… I have yet to take a hot one out of the shop. But this doesn’t seem to staop me from returning day after day. Another TLN paradox?

Ohhh I like the secludedness(yep that’s a word) of this café, it’s kind of a secret. I grabbed a freshly made pineapple and pear juice and boy it was sweet and tasty. Teresa D could be right when she calls it ‘one of the coolest cafes in Perth’. I liked the chilledness(hmmm not really a word) and will come back soon for some serene work time and to try some of their much loved baked goods, the word on the street is that they do a killer Mississippi pie.

Big Thumbs Up for Love Thy Neighbour! Located at the rear of William Street Arcade next to Ezra Pound(a relative of Love Thy Neighbour) but separate business, it is a very attractive setting. With a hole-in-the-wall service style, you just read the small menu from the blackboard next to the window and order. I always feel super small when ordering as the staff are looking down to you, but they are so extremely friendly it doesn’t matter that you feel like an ant. Jaffles are $ 5. They are delicious — just like you had as a kid but WAY tastier. The chocolate brownies are also ridiculously good. LTN’s exterior is super cool, with the mural done by street artist TwoOne. Benches and low stools for casual sipping and munching, it’s a great place to catch up with a friend, grab a quick lunch or coffee on the run. Open 6 days a week, Mon — Fri: 06:30 — 17:00, Sat: 07:30 — 15:00.
