Went here for Hens Night Dinner. I don’t like red meat but for some reason I ordered Lamb and it was to die for! Beautiful meals. Beautiful atmosphere. Awesome cocktails. Lovely staff. Lovely views. Plan on going here again for Husband Date Night.

Food was ok, value not spectacular, service was slow. The music was fun, but too loud for conversation over dinner(maybe ok for the front bar though?) my dessert order came out with the wrong dish, but when politely sent back my donuts never appeared. Staff didn’t come near the table for the whole time dessert was being eaten by the rest of the party. When I finally could wave a waitress down, she did apologise & offer me a free drink. Overall, there are places with far better value dinner around. Maybe a good spot for a drink though?

Not only is are the meals overpriced, but quality was abysmal. I ordered the $ 18 «Salad of heirloom tomatoes w/basil, almond, olive and ricotta». Now, one would expect that a salad would contain more than two tomatoes, however this was not the case. I paid a highly inflated price for *maybe* two tomatoes cut in quarters, some sauce, and tiny drops of watered down ricotta. There was not a single almond or olive in sight. As the menu selection was quite minimal, a mate of mine wanted to order a burger and chips, which the kitchen was also serving at the time. The waitress told us that the head chef doesn’t allow the bar menu items to be served in the restaurant area as it is ‘too confusing’ for him. When we asked whether we can go to the bar, purchase the burger, and bring it back, the lovely young lady let us know that the head chef also disallows this. My mate ended up choosing the $ 36 «Cape grim beef, sirloin, w/heirloom carrots, confit mushroom and sherry jus». What he got was a piece of dry steak that was barely 4 inches, with a table spoon worth of lukewarm mashed potatoes, two pieces of chopped carrot, not more than a centimetre thick, and a teaspoon and a half or sauce drizzled on top. Needless to say, none of us were satisfied with our meals and went elsewhere for our desert. If you’re considering eating here, do yourself a favour, and plan your meal elsewhere. I certainly won’t be visiting again. Ever.
