The three things that make a good little café in my mind:
1. Clean surfaces
2. Comfy chairs
3. A great feel
The Shingle Inn at Mt Ommaney has really made the centre in my mind. There are booth tables, normal tables, and best of all those comfy Shingle Inn chairs! The owners are gracious, lovely and friendly. The service is quick, tables are clean and besides being right next to one of the entrants to the Shopping Centre, feels great.
I love their strawberry filled melting moments, and the carrot cake with the little carrot icing. I don’t even mind the buy one get one free breakfast you get if you have an entertainment book voucher. My son really likes the babycino too (Chai Latte for me).
All in a days coffee. Shingle Inn can’t go wrong.
