Decent little local take away chicken shop, variable service, good salads little overpriced. Can run out of chicken(ironically) 30 mins to 1 hour before close, this has happened to me three times

Burger Rating: 8.1÷10 Burger Order: Americano — Grilled Marinated Chicken Breast, Lettuce, Bacon, American Cheese, Tasty Cheese, Caramelised Onions, Jalapeños, Tomato, Pickles, HTR sauce and Melbourne hot sauce(mango and habanero) $ 13($ 1 extra jalapeños!) The last place I had a grilled chicken burger was Nandos, and I am going to put it out there that I thought this was better. Looking through their instagram I really wasn’t expecting much. 1. because they only serve grilled chicken burgers and 2. No one is really posting about them or commenting that there are quality burgers coming out of this place. Home to Roost isn’t the sort of place you can go and sit down for a burger, it is a small shop with 2 – 3 seats, although there is a huge park across the road that could easily become a good picnic spot for the Home to Roost customers. I don’t know about the rest of the burgers, but this was on the specials board and is definitely worth a try — it oozes flavour and is unexpectedly awesome.

I found this little place while heading off to the local«Office Works» to print a few things. Funny enough my boss at work keeps telling me to stop eating chicken for lunch and have something different. She gives me that funny look with a smart question, «Something different today? I see you got chicken». Anyways, you won’t get lost looking for this place because the outside is black with seating area. Parking isn’t hard as its side street and if its a beautiful day you can head across the road to the park and enjoy your meal there. The big difference you’ll find is that its premium Free Range Gluten Free roast charcoal chickens… and if you love animals like me then you’ll be happy to know that the chickens were stress free, not caged up. I bought the half chicken with chips which came with a brown paper carry bag with the top not closed to keep the chips crisp and soggy free which I think is a brilliant yet simple thing to have done(took it home for dinner). Price is reasonable and that charcoal taste was so good. I could really tell the difference between free range and supermarket roast chicken. It was juicy, moist, tender and best of all… filling! If you don’t mind paying a little extra for premium Free Range Gluten free chickens then head on down to this little place because you won’t be disappointed. Home to Roost got me at «Free Range». Yummy!
