This place is a good option for a quick cheap dinner! The serving sizes are huge as well, although it is a bit deceiving in the small boxes they pack it in to! I ordered pad Thai last time and it was quite nice and always good to have leftovers for lunch but it is very greasy and I’m sure full of Msg so I do try to avoid it as a weekly meal. But it is one of the better quick noodle joints!

Before Wok in a Box ruined the reputation for all the noodle houses out there, there was such a high demand for noodles on the go. Now it seems a lot less popular and Noodle King makes me wonder why, why? It goes to show which the higher quality places are, or maybe just the tastiest are the noodle houses, which are the ones that have lasted the test of time. Noodle house with its old menu board with obvious adjusted prices due to the passing of years’ shows that it will last and always be King of Noodles! Regular boxes are $ 9 and large are $ 12 but the ingredients are plentiful and there is always a generous amount of meat per serve, I do enjoy their hot and spicy noodles.

Think of what WokinaBox might have been when they opened their first store in Adelaide. This is what Wok King is to me. Sitting around the prices, I think that this low key Noodle Bar is great for a decent Asian Fusion feed that, even in small portions, is inexplicably filling. The flavours aren’t ‘knock your socks off’ ones, but neither are they weak and boring. They hit that middle zone that nearly makes them a comfort food, able to be eaten all the time. The store itself is quite small and reminds me of a late night kebab shop with the metal chairs. A place worth remembering, even if only to visit there once a month.
