Great coffee and amazing pastries! These guys do fantastic breakfasts. Would recommend to anyone. Also I’m keen to try the $ 5 tiger pints between 4−6pm daily

Had a lovely brekkie here with my partner and two of our friends on ANZAC Day. The wait was only around 10 – 15 minutes at 10:30am, but I don’t think that’s indicative of either a regular Monday or a normal weekend. Everything was faultless, from the friendly service, to the pre-meal coffees(side note: man oh man I miss Aussie coffee so much!), and on to the mains themselves. I got the Three Little Pigs Benny and wifey got the Corn & Chorizo; both were a good size for the price and delicious. I forget what our friends got other than the chocolate milkshake, which we were told was top notch. I like that the restaurant décor seems more breezy and friendly than when it was the Merchant; they may have just painted the walls a lighter color but whatever it is, it’s working :) There was also a nice looking patio in the back that I wouldn’t mind checking out for drinks next summer.

Ok, so not a lot has changed décor-wise at the former Beaufort Merchant however the wine list and the menu packs a serious punch of goodness. The place was hectic for a Saturday night, glad i booked ahead as every table was taken which did surprise me given it was a rainy day and evening in Perth and fairly cold. Met quickly, taken to our table, good service overall from a lovely Brazilian chick. Firstly I’ll say, in hindsight, when they say«small» plates — they are not small, they are a good size, probably more than between 2, maybe even shared between 3. Being pretty hungry, my husband and i ordered from the«smalls» bread with olive oil, the spinach gnocchi, gin cured salmon and goats cheese stuffed courgette flowers with the«bigger» plate of Sirloin steak to share. Ummm, wow. Really could have just ordered the three«smalls» and bread, and this coming from two hungry people, we were absolutely stuffed full. The spinach gnocchi was just SO good. The steak was cooked to perfection at medium rare. Could not fault any of the dishes. So the wine list. Really impressive by the bottle but a tough one by the glass. There was some decent options by the glass but nothing that blew me away, so we bought a bottle. The La Violette Ye-Ye was $ 76 which is usually $ 30 in the bottle shop so a fair mark up. It went really well with our food, given its blend of spätburgunder, syrah and muskat-sylvaner(or Pinot Noir, Shiraz and Sav Blanc if you had to make an «Australian» comparison). The list was mixed with WA, Australian and International wines. Really pleased to see it being so comprehensive. Yay — I would go again to Beaufort Local.

Popped in this morning for a cuppa with a friend. My friend said the banana bread was delicious so we both had that toasted. Oh my word she wasn’t wrong, was so nice that I could’ve had another slice! Banana bread with choc chips through it and a little pot of butter on the side, so yummy!!! The staff were delightful, welcomed as soon as we walked in and menus and water were brought straight over to the table. No sooner had we ordered but our tea and coffee were here and banana bread followed. Will definitely be going again soon to take my mum for some delicious banana bread!

Really nice change in the old BSM. New menu is much more vast with lots of options. We came in for brunch on a Sunday and got a table outside right away, although it was very busy. Server was attentive and friendly. Coffee was very nice. Food was also interesting, unique, but still tasty. I got the Smoked Corn/Charred Corn smash(can’t remember). Warning-it is a cold dish which I wasn’t expecting, but it was refreshing and flavourful and pretty spicy. My husband got the lobster Benedict. When it first came out we scoffed about the amount of lobster given, but it was enough in the end. Hollandaise sauce was very good. Would definitely return and try out more of the new menu and also try for dinner!

Faultless service, food was full of flavour, the serves would’ve been a little bigger given the price point & cocktails were rather small. But a nice way to spend a Sunday afternoon out in their garden bar!

They only serve great coffee here. The meals are tasty and there’s plenty of vego options and no matter what time of day you come, there’s always a crowd. Now with a daily happy hour between 4 – 6 in the garden bar $ 5 Tiger pints I’ll be back for sure. Super fast service, in and out within 45 minutes for breakky so parking was under the 1hr free limit. $ 55 for breakfast for two is on the steeper side of pricing but you get what you pay for.

I went with a group of 6 for breakfast. The 2 stars I’ve noted for this place is for the initial service from the friendliest and personable gentleman waiter as all other staff we encountered(including the woman at the cash register who seemed to be the manager) were rude and had a terrible attitude, I can’t imagine how they would have behaved if we actually pointed out the most of the items wrong with our breakfast. The rest of our experience was beyond a joke. Everyone’s food was terrible in some way. I ordered smashed corn and rocket with a poached egg… Toast was burnt(no not overcooked… black), corn was basically a cold can of creamed corn dumped on the burnt toast and a bag of rocket tipped onto the plate with a cold poached egg placed on top… Stone cold with no flavour. None of the guests with me that day will be back as this was my first experience but was not their first bad experience at this establishment.

Breakfast was great on the day in question although the service was a bit off. Our food took forever to arrive so we were told they would take two coffees off the menu(which they hadn’t done when we went to pay) and they forgot my second coffee entirely! The food was good though. My eggs were perfectly cooked and my friend had the corn cakes which he loved. Nice looking selection of cakes in the cabinet too.

The service here is awesome — our waitress Mandy was so friendly and helpful and had a bubbly smile overtime she spoke with us. The food is great — nice sized portions and delicious. We had the meat board, zucchini flowers stuffed with goats cheese and chips — if you are a chip lover you will be happy to know you get a very generous portion here! Between the 2 of us it was plenty! I am liking the new more modern/relaxed look of the venue, looking forward to trying more dishes with these guys!

Loving the new look on the old Beaufort Street Merchant, especially the little courtyard area, what a breath of fresh air. I have only stopped in for a drink so far. I had an Aperol Spritz. It was served with a dried slice of orange. I am not sure if they used a sparkling other than prosecco, or if it was the fact they didn’t use fresh orange, but the the drink didn’t taste as it should. The food coming out looked great, but unfortunately the prices are still more than what they should be, just like they were at the Beaufort Street Merchant.

Lovely new revamp(?or ownership?) of the old merchant. The beaufort local still has the open interior dining plan with fabulous simple décor and now an open roof beer garden– thank you! The service is lovely, the food was delicious. We came for a mid week dinner. I had the crab and chilli linguine(home made pasta) with a glass of prosecco. Hard to get this one wrong, so I would be disappointed if they did. But the food was lovely, fresh and fragrant. The linguine probably needed just a little more crab meat, I think there was maybe only 3 bits. My friend had the barramundi and loved it, although mentioned the wilted spinach put ontop of the crispy skin did soften it a little. But the fish was flaky and fresh. My other friend had the chicken, she said it was ok– if but a little dry. The hazelnuts really compliment the dish on this one! Dessert was a trio of each, i loved the mango done different ways. However the brownie was a real winner too. Good prices, good food. I’ll be back.

A great brunch spot. Fresh juice and great coffee. I had the granola with peach sorbet and it was refreshing and delicious. Wait staff were friendly and the atmosphere of the place was great.

Checked out this place for drinks and then breakfast the following morning(should have brought my sleeping bag). Couldn’t go past the $ 5 pints of Tiger. Beer garden is a nice little area, friendly staff. We also sampled the Black Angus Sliders which were pretty good! Breakfast the next day was great. Nice to see some different options on the menu. I had the Corn Smash(??) and a green juice. Seemed to be the right fix for my hangover.
