Don’t bother. From Seattle(WASHINGTON), where there’s an abundance of amazing Thai restaurants, this was a disappointment. Crab fried rice, phad see ew, and fried bananas. Blah. Hot with no AC and barely any service since they were busy on a F nite. Didn’t even bother to take my touristy food pix. Ate as fast as we could and ran out the door.

Recommend the pad thai. Make sure to drink lots of water when eating here as the food is very spicy. We were seated quickly and reservations were not needed. There are a lot of people eating here so this a sign that the meal will be fresh. If you like being connected to a mall, this place is definitely worth your time.

We came here one day for lunch. I was with my coworkers who had eaten here previously. First thing I noticed was how small the area to dine is. During the lunch time it is rather busy and crowded, the seating is not terribly comfy(I assume this is why people tend to shuffle in and out rather quickly). I ordered the Thai Basil Chicken, my coworkers ordered the #4 Savory Roti as an entrée(this is an appetizer to those of us from the US) and the spicy Thai fried rice. Mine was the first one to come out, then the fried rice dishes and then the Roti. Everything was a nice portion, and tasted good. The staff was pretty attentive for being so busy. I feel like this place could be more easily enjoyed in the evening when it isn’t as busy for them. But once again the seating isn’t the most comfortable unless you get lucky enough to get one of the booths. The food was good and it was moderately priced, I will most likely try it again before I leave.

HAWAII to AUSTRALIA… WHYHERE? It was late when we got in, we were tired and STARVING after the 9+ hour flight. This place was open late, along with the neighboring restaurants in Haymarket. We were looking for something moderately priced that tasted good. WHAT I ATE: — GREENCURRY( ): THOUGHTS… All girl servers… and they are very attentive. Free Wifi. The tables are close together. It was an overall ok experience(my friend struggled with his entrée cause it was ridiculously spicy), but not somewhere I’d be dying to go on my vaca down under.

Went back to @bangkok for a family dinner. We initially had wanted to go to home but they don’t take bookings(even when we said we wanted to book for 9). @bangkok takes bookings so that was useful. They were packed on a Wednesday night so we had to squish together. We ordered 2 entrees, 1 salad and a soup as starters but our mains came out with these dishes as well which meant we were struggling to fit all the food on the small tables. Felt a bit rushed as we were trying to finish dishes as fast as we could so we could clear the plates. FOOD Generally the food is ok. The following stood out for me — Pad Thai was too sweet — Quite a generous serving of duck in the curry — The Bangkok style spicy chicken feet soup was delicious. Tasted like a really flavoursome tom yum soup in a clear soup style without the excessive oil. — Entrees are generally better than the mains. Fried Quail eggs ftw!!! OVERALL Still giving it a 3 but there were points of two stardom with how squashed and rushed everything was.

This is a great place to eat Thai food. It is an indoor setting which has a very outdoorsy feel to it. All your Thai favourites can be purchased from here with delightful lemongrass hues, basil and chilli. Thai food is really refreshing, it’s something in the way the herbs compliment the dishes and envigorates. You can buy basic alcohol beer and wine and bottom shelf spirits and the staff are friendly and ready to help. This is good for groups and you can bring your own too. You might think of coming here before you see a show at the Capitol Theatre as it is right next door. I had the Thai Green curry and I wasn’t disappointed.

My rather curious friends and I were drawn to this place because of the amount of noise emanating from it. In the middle of Capitol Square it looked much busier than its neighbouring food joints, so we took our chances to see what all the fuss was about. Aiming to be a little more experimental than normal, I attempted to stomach a moderately chilli ‘mince chicken curry with rice’. I don’t give this dish points for presentation but its tastiness made it redeemable. One of our friends had never had coconut juice before so we were excited at the prospect of introducing her to something new. We convinced her of this sweet, magical elixir and she ended up with a warm glass of juice, complemented by two pathetic bits of ice. Sadly, it was a let down on all our expectations. The service was also pretty terrible — one of the waiters was distracted by how pretty her hair was the whole time and seemed to forget that there was more than one person at the table. As such, we only had one glass of water for the first twenty minutes, and then they seemed to forget about all our meals but one for the next twenty. I think this time the odds were against us, but I’m not a fan when the service plays favourites.
