Taiwan Cafe

One of the better Taiwanese joints I’ve been to in a while. Had too many choices but settled for #400 Taiwanese Style Wok Tossed Vermicelli & #505 Chicken popcorn rice box! Why? No real reason… scan of fellow hungry patrons’ tables and eyeing what was being coming out of the kitchen. Both seemed very popular! the the masses do not lie!!! The vermicelli was huge and so much flavour! had the «wok» flavour if u know I mean. sign of a good cook n or a wok that has been used a long time. add some chillie oil for that little kick. The only downside… by the time I got to the end… dish was a bit heavy due to the amount of oil used. This can’t be avoided I guess such stir fries require ample oil. At least it wasn’t dripping or sitting in an inch of oil at the bottom.
The rice popcorn? hmmmmm nothing to rave about I guess but comfort food all the same… who doesn’t like fried chicken?

DO NOT GO PASS:
— The Taiwanese style burger (should be called a bao!) — not the best that i have tried, the belly could be a little more juicy, but it is still melt in your mouth goodness. I am impressed with the size of the bun (bao) though — wow!
— The Deep Fried Chicken Chop! — this is crazy good! great with some rice!
— Taiwanese style dumplings!
— and the Taiwanese style brisket soup!!!
— for dessert — the strawberry piña colada!!! Holly Molly — how does a taiwanese joint make it so good???
This place has great taste and i hope they never make any adjustments for the customer. Beware of the spicy menu items, they come … «spicy»!!!
