This is an art gallery located at the quiet end of High Street that sells Aboriginal artworks. They are a member of both Art. Trade and the Australian Federal Government’s Indigenous Art Code, which aims to ensure best practice and ethical standards in the Aboriginal art industry. This means money goes back to the artists and their community. If you’re on their mailing list, they do let you know of upcoming exhibition openings which goes beyond the wine and cheese offerings. Firstly, no pushy wine or cheese rep trying to sell wine and cheese. Secondly and most importantly, artists are invited to the gallery to speak about their work and the story of the work. You can also speak directly with the artists. There is ground floor gallery when you enter and one upstairs. The one upstairs is the one with the latest exhibition. It’s off the beaten track of galleries and worth having a look.
