This place is a lovely departure away from the run-of-the-mill coffee shops in the Valley. I met some business associates here for a quick coffee. Plenty of comfy seating: both booth style and separate tables. The shop is across the hall(literally) from a row of micro-business suites, which must be super convenient for them when they want a coffee. My coffee was well-extracted and the staff were courteous. If I’m in the area, I’d go again. If you are running a small business around this area, they offer a boardroom hire service where you can even have them cater your meeting. No hassle: just a fixed price per pax. And plenty of options available.

Monk and grind have great food and really friendly staff. Their pulled pork and coleslaw roll is amazing.

Went to Monk and Grind to grab a coffee and breakfast — it was quiet on a Friday morning which I hoped would mean quick service. Was I wrong! The coffee(DiBella) came out quick and was quite good but after 25 minutes breakfast was nowhere to be seen after already enquiring once the second visit to the counter yielded a result — they’d forgotten it! How do you forget a breakfast order with an empty café and 5 staff? Pretty disappointing. Anyway M&G is ok for a quick grab and go coffee but anything more — pass!

Coffee is delicious, although the service is a bit slow — primarily because it’s busy and they’re new :-) Great venue, they’ve renovated the old building and kept all the beautiful old wooden beams. Foods pretty delicious, short menu with good options and they’re happy to adjust it to meet dietary requirements. Staff are super friendly, definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area. Great place to hide out and read for a few hours.
