UPDATED Review: We went back one day for dinner, and the burgers were good. They were juicy and came with many toppings. The staff were very helpful and were able to guide us through the menu. 3 Stars due to the bad first experience, don’t close 30 min before you say you close. Also 3 stars due to the fact that you can order fries but you have to pay extra for sauce… who eats fries dry!!!

Fu**** amazing burgers. Super tasty, super fresh and the veggie burger was also fantastic. All of that for reasonable prices. Friendly and quick service. Not one thing to complain about.

The Australian version of an American Diner — full bar and all! I’ve watched this chain grow from this the original store to now a total of 15 restaurants across Sydney, the latest being World Square CBD. Not the cheapest burger in town, but the product is always consistent and extremely tasty! Burgers of every kind can be found here — Beef, Chicken, Lamb, Vegetarian, Sliders, Steak sandwiches and Salad options. Mini burgers too for the 7 and under kids. I’m exhausted writing about the choices — it’s like that having to make your mind up when ordering as well. Choices, choices, choices! You can’t eat burgers without the chips. More choices — the best and thickest Grill’d Chips with a lovely mixed herb sprinkles, the healthy Sweet potato version and even Zucchini Chips! All chips have the option of having a dipping sauce(as recommended) for 70 cents more. Firstly you get to choose your bread roll-Panini or Traditional. There is even a Gluten Free or Low Carb Roll(for weight watchers) available for $ 1.50! My burger choice for this visit was the Summer Sunset. Grilled grass fed lean beef, avocado, crispy trim bacon, golden pineapple, salad, relish & herbed mayo. If you want to add another filling like beetroot or egg it’s possible too for a little extra per item. I love this place for its variety and charity. Every order gets you a token that you put in a token jar for local charities. Every month Grill’d Burgers give $ 500 back to the unsung helpers of the community. Five stars from me for your business vision, product and customer service.

Yummy burgers and delicious Sweet Potato fries! All burgers are great but the ‘simply grilled’ is my favourite has everything you need in a great burger/they also offer gluten free and low carb buns! With out a doubt my favourite burgers

7 of us went tonight as we had seen this place earlier in the week and they always look busy. Great food with fast service. I little pricey for a hamburger and chips(fries) but good portion size.

This place is awesome! I went here during my visit to Sydney, and I had an amazing burger! The staff is super friendly, and was checking up on the customers regularly. One of the workers suggested I try the Lamb Burger with hummus and goat cheese, and as odd as that might sound, it was DELICIOUS! I have never had a proper lamb burger being from the US, but this burger was done just perfectly. The lamb meat was tender and juicy and the hummus complimented the meat perfectly. The décor of the place is also awesome, with old edison bulbs and a modern feel. It’s a great place to go alone for dinner, or good for a date. Only reason I am not giving this a 5 star rating, is because the sweet potato chips were quite burnt, and the burnt taste over took the other flavors of the chips, and I was pretty must drowning the chips in the sweet chili sauce they have. But apart from that, a great burger spot and a must try when visiting Sydney! TLDR: Great burger place! try the sweet chili sauce!

Turning a field mushroom into a burger patty is pure, untainted, delicious genius. Add herb mayo and you’ve hit the jackpot. The Grill’d fries are one of a kind. Make sure to grab the chipotle(?) dipping sauce. A fair and balanced review should consider the good and bad aspects of the meal or service, but it’s hard to fault Grill’d Darlinghurst. 5⁄5!

Veggie burgers are quite good in this place. They also have some original sauces that will complement your burger quite nicely. Plenty of options to customize your burger.

Best burger chain ever! Of all the grilld stores I’ve tried in Sydney, this one has got to be the best! The food, service and atmosphere wins here. I came here yesterday night abduction ordered my usual of Simon says. Flame grilled chicken breast fillet, fresh lettuce from plant, crisp tomato(no mush like the fast food chains) and crisp fried bacon! The burger was fantastic as always and really made being alone on Friday night worthwhile as I didn’t have to share my meal or my chips. The chips are to die for here, thick and crunchy on the outside but soft on the inside. They’re also dressed with sea salt and rosemary, you will be licking your fingers after the chips. Apart from wonderful burgers this grilld is charitable and offers great service. Each burger you buy you get a cap and vote on where they should donate money to. Service is wonderful, staff are super friendly and let me sit there for two hours on a Friday night reading my textbook… they’re really kind to people that are alllllllllll by themselves!!!

Meh. That’s about it. Mediocre burgers, so-so fries(the first time — the second time I waited 20 minutes for just fries and they were undercooked). Overpriced, undercooked fries, and underwhelming experience. Really nice people working there, but the food just doesn’t cut it. If you think this is a good burger place, you need to get out more often.(and I know my burgers)

Delicious burgers at a reasonable price. The burgers are a little large, so they are best to share. It would be better if these burgers came with chips rather than having to order a separate side. They stock cider on hand, so two thumbs up from me!

Saw the same brand in Melbourne and I thought it was just another burger franchise that you see everywhere. Bad choice Pierre, because this place was amazing. Well I had a few cocktail, cider and beers inside me when I tried it, but the«baa baa burger» asked with a wonderful imitation of a lamb, was freaking tasty, and as a first meal of the day(at 9pm or so) it was just divine. the fries are pretty good, way better than any fast food place, and they have Little creatures beers. In a word: YUMMY

The good: great chips, good veggie burger, upbeat service, community donation system, the bun The bad: Nothing. For the price, everything was perfect. Will be going back

Grill’d really knows how to do Ceasar Salad, I love their croutons, they are fab. This café /restaurant, has a knack at providing consumers with an experience. They offer you a chance to create your own burger almost but also be inspired by their ideas. It is more than just sit in and eat what you’re given, your say is granted here at grill’d. I really enjoyed it, it’s classic casual dining, with a strong American diner influence. Keep the dream alive, the wholesome, well balanced, diet and you can buy beers from their fridge. There is no full bar however. I didn’t really like the burger buns they use, and found the burgers a bit cumbersome, but the salads I continuously was gravitating into my local Grill’d store for more of, I think they just really hit the nail on the head with that one, parmesan shavings and all.

It is a really bad thing that I live within 1 block of this place and that I have to walk past it every day. Whenever I’m feeling tired, peeved off or stressed out, I succumb to it because the burgers are out of this world. Its just a burger but I can’t help it, I love it. The Simply Grill’d burger with side chips is my usual order, with either herbed mayo or sweet chilli dip. I’ll try the others one day, but for now I’m happy with my simple order. So good! The actual place is very open and has a direct competitor with Mad Mex next door. The burgers are pricey at $ 9+ each because they are ‘gourmet’ but people seem willing to pay. The restaurant is licensed and there are also specials posted regularly so keep an eye out for them. The burger industry has evolved and now grown up. This is one of the best, so try it either at the Crown St branch or there are others floating around in Sydney and other Australian states. Check the website.
