ordered Vietnamese rolls from here and the lady working there did tell me the noodles maybe a little harder than normal, I hesitated but took them anyway… A few hours later I was vomiting everywhere and got an ambulance into the hospital with confirmed gastro. When I approached a young man a few days later who like a robot mobile phone in hand to tell him of my ordeal after I ordered my chicken cold rolls from here, I barely got a response it was if I was annoying him as he had to glance up from his phone. I have never been back nor will I go again, one because of awful service from this young gun but also because of the sickening good. Hygiene people!

STRAPONYOURBULLETPROOFVESTWE’REHEADINGINTOTHEBADLANDS. Wow! I’m really surprised this hasn’t been reviewed yet! This place is scary as hell, but the bakery here is worth the risk! :) Its super cheap, and the bakery goods are always fresh and delicious. As you roll into the shopping centre carpark off south road, you automatically have the sudden urge to lock your doors. The carpark is dodgy as hell, and the building isn’t pretty, but this is the best place in Adelaide to get Vietnamese rolls(Bánh mì rolls). If your expecting this place to look like your normal bakery, then sorry you’re going to be bitterly disappointed. Its pretty much the back end of a bakery, ovens, tray holders, the works with a cabinet in front, and a NEW big red sign that tells you the price of the Vietnamese rolls and man they are cheap. $ 3.90 for a pork roll, $ 4.90 for a combination roll and so on. Yum! I’m actually getting hungry writing this review! :) The pork roll is my favourite and damn it’s good! The rice rolls are always cooked perfectly, the meat is amazing and the chilli gives it the little kick that you need to keep you going through the afternoon. What makes this lunchtime treat better is getting a dim sim as well. But these ain’t no ordinary dim sims. They are fist sized ball of shredded meat, that’s been battered and deep fried. it kind of reminds me of KFC. I’m sure they aren’t healthy but they’re just so damn good! :) Look I may be a little harsh on the outside appearance and carpark, as it seems like they are trying to upgrade it at the moment, but CT Bakery is definitely worth the bullets to get Adelaide’s Best Vietnamese Rolls. Remember Duck and Roll! :)

Something tells me that previous reviewer, Adam H has lived a sheltered life… for a time in my life, this was my local supermarket /bakery area and I’ll tell you what — I’ve never been in a gang, nor have I sustained any gang related injuries or been involved in illicit activities of any kind. Personal life stories aside, this sneaky little gem is fan freakin tastic! The price is absolutely right, the tastes are spot on and now I am super excited to try those dim sims! Previously I’ve had the bread rolls, and cold rolls and from memory some other sweet bakery treats. Never have I ever had anything to complain about — and the staff are all super lovely! If you’re driving past, make sure you pop in, even if you’re not hungry… it’s that damn good!
