I visited the salon for the second time today. The first time was when I got my red hair stripped. The girls are a young vibrant team who work as a team and encourage each other and show appreciation for each others work which is certainly a rarity. They are all so welcoming, friendly and always provide a great service. They listen to what you say and will ensure that your colour and style is extremely close if not the same as the photo expectation you provide. For the second time I have been provided with a colour I absolutely love and after trips to numerous hairdressers here and there i can definatly say they are by far my favorites in every aspect. Secure-a-park parking literally right next door is absolutely perfect as well! I couldn’t recommend these lovely ladies enough! You will certainly not be disappointed!

Mandy at Blow Dry Bar did an absolutely incredible job on my hair and I’m pretty sure I’ll only trust her for foils from now on! After moving to Brisbane from Los Angeles I had nothing but horrible hair experiences until I went to Mandy on a recommendation from a friend. She listened to exactly what I wanted and gave me advice on what would look best for me. I couldn’t be happier with the way my full head of highlights turned out. She also did an amazing blow out with ghd curls. I felt so happy and confident leaving the salon and I haven’t felt that way in a long time. My blonde color looked perfect and buttery(with no brassiness) on my wedding day and I’ve never had so many compliments on my hair.

In its natural state my hair is wilder than Side Show Bob’s and I look like the Paddle Pop lion. I kid you not. So with it bold and frizzed in its natural glory, I threw my hands in the hair like one of those desperate, at-their-wits-end infomercial models before they present them with a magical solution. I didn’t get a set of steak knives but I did get a same-day appointment when I called Blow Dry Bar and walked out with grown-up, polished Park Avenue tresses. For a reasonable $ 40, Megan tamed my mane after a wash. I could have sat in their massage chair all afternoon. In less than an hour I was in and out and having often spent 2+ hours in a salon chair this was a time record I appreciated. Leaving the salon, I walked taller, lighter and couldn’t help catching my reflection in windows. You see, kids, sometimes treating yourself to the simplest of luxuries can lift one’s mood dramatically. If a simple, fuss-free, no silly hair salon small talk blow dry is what you’re after I’d be making your way to Albert St. Oh, and if possible, get public transport — parking is a pain and I refuse to pay $ 25 plus for Myer Centre parking.
