Had breakfast there on a Sunday morning, food was great and a reasonable price. Service was fantastic with the food coming out very very quickly and the staff where very attentive. Highly recommend it.

Great spot if you’re in the city and looking for a casual atmosphere. Drinks are excellent and the food is fairly decent. They definitely employ some hotties for sho’.

We came here today for the lunch special, rump steak, chips and salad for $ 13.90. Now, we were super surprised that for such a low price we received a very well done meal. We both requested a medium cooked steak with mushroom sauce. Although the steak was just a little off medium, it was better than having a well done steak or less than medium. The chips were very crunchy and tasty and the sauce on the salad was delicious! Will be back here for steak and salad again!

Bring along your entertainment book voucher to get your buy 1 main get one free because good golly gosh, if you get the New York Strip(most expensive steak on the menu for $ 34) you can get another one for free… and it’s a massive meal. The steak wasn’t awesome I must admit… but the combination of atmosphere, speed at which the food came out, those beer battered chips, salad and the gravy were quite delish. Add onto that the live music on a Friday night or a Saturday night with all the songs I love from the 80s and 90s combine to make it a fantastic atmosphere. It does get quite busy here and they have like 3 Litre beer pipe looking thing so get in earlier to get a good seat on the balcony open air area. I have been here 3 – 4 times now and cannot fault it… it’s great value for what you get, the ambience is pretty nice and the music is live and chilled out. Will be back.

This place sort of feels like they mixed every Sunshine Coast bistro together and dumped it on a ledge in The Myer Centre. The staff are friendly enough and the food and drinks are what you would expect. The only thing I would fault them on is the system where you order and collect your own food with the buzzer –it just seems a little tacky. I think overtime I’ve just become accustomed to table service, meh.

Not a a bad place on a cold winters day. I came here with a mate of mine and wanted to go here for lunch as I’ve always walked past it but never knew what the name of the place was until quite recent when I was in the city for something else. The food was surprisingly good as I originally didn’t have high hopes on this place when looking at other reviews and thought should I try it or not but glad I did. The staff here are quite friendly and wasn’t a long wait for the meals to come out. Only thing I found was that my fish was fairly large and while it was nice, I couldn’t eat it all as I was so full and would suggest cutting down portion sizes on all their meals. Overall I would definitely come back here again and what I like about it is the view you get from sitting out on the balcony looking across the city and having a great time catching up with friends or family.

The food here was mediocre and not the cheapest… I had the salmon and mixed veggies. The salmon was ok, but the veggies tasted like they had been defrosted and microwaved(they had that soggy taste)! The redeeming factor about this place is the convenient location, where you can people watch on the second floor of the Queen St. Mall and the live music!

If you’re in the city, this is a good place for drinks with friends before or after an event. We’ve been here on occasion and never had any issues. We tried to order food once but the kitchen had already closed but finding late night food in Brisbane is hard to come by. Depending who is playing, the live music can be a great backdrop to your conversations. To order your drinks, just head to the bar and then sit wherever you’d like. It’s not the most comfortable chairs or the cleanest and most orderly place but it’ll do. I probably wouldn’t take my parents here but have had a great time with a group of friends.

I had the garlic prawns and for once I wasn’t disappointed :’) I quite liked the food here but it’s rather noisy and cluttered. All the tables are very squished in together and it’s a bit of a struggle finding a route to take when going up to grab your meals. Service was also pretty good

I ordered the nachos and a jug of cider from here on a hot day. While this place is very conveniently located just off the Queen Street Mall there were a few things I didn’t like about the place. The cider was served in a plastic jug which meant it got warm very quickly. The barstaff did not offer ice cubes which seemed a bit odd to me. When the nachos came out they were well overcooked which to me wasn’t acceptable as I ordered them at 11:30am before the lunch time rush. Wont be coming back to eat, maybe for a sneaky pot.

The meals take a while to come but they are worth the wait, they are awesome! The eye fillet steak I had was perfectly cooked and the sides were generous. Great place to catch up for beers and dinner with friends.

This is my favorite place to have lunch. I think I’ve been to beach house around 30 times over 3 years living in Brisbane, for its ‘everyday steak deal’ which is under $ 13 you get good size of steak, salad and chips. My boyfriend and I were living in brisbane CBD which was just 2 blocks away from beach house so we literally went there for lunch a lot. We both love steak, and Beach house has got the best steak plus mushroom sauce by far. We’ve been trying a lot of other steak around brisbane-goldcoast but we always come back to Beach House. I also like seafood so I enjoy the seafood basket here. Huge portion which fits 2 people. Sometimes on weekend it has nice live band.

Not a bad spot in the city if you want to find somewhere that’s close, open, and has a wide variety on offer. Sat down to have a bottle of wine with my cousin, which while the company was fantastic, the atmosphere was a little lacking.

«Which way the beach bra?» While the nearest beach is about an hour’s drive south(unless you count the fake one at South Bank), these guys pull off the beach house vibe with their airy veranda setting, seafood-influenced menu and cover musicians strumming chilled out tunes(think a lot of Jack Johnson, Van Morrison, that kind of vibe). I’ve never eaten here but have kicked back and enjoyed a few schooners of beer and cider on tap(they do some good Irish ciders here) with friends. Come night time there seem to be just as many people there for the food as the drink(and many for both). The meals looked nice and ample, with old favourites like burgers, nachos, pizza and fish ‘n’ chips all there. I was tempted to order something, but I try not to hit the waves with a full stomach :)

The Beach House is a very pleasant place to pop by if you are in the city to have a quick drink. If I am ever hanging out in the city with a couple a friends and someone suggests getting a drink, I will often suggest to go to Beach House. Not only is the Beach House in such a convenient location(inside the Myer centre) but it has a great open area that keeps the place looking very chilled. The bar is pretty much placed on a great big balcony. There are plenty of tables and chairs for groups of every size too so it never gets too uncomfortable. I like sitting on one of the tables along the edge to get a view of the city. The bar will have a nice selection of local beers and a small cocktails menu too but honestly, this is not the kind of place where you should be expecting the finest drinks menu. if you come here at night, there will usually be a cover artist perfuming on the small stage, otherwise they have plenty of TV showing music videos. I am a fan of the Beach House. Even thought there is nothing too fancy about the place, I enjoy it for its chilled environment and the location can’t be beat.

I have lived in Brisbane my entire life and never known this place existed until I looked up crossing Elizabeth Street the other day and went ‘Holy Moly! There’s a pub up there!’ I did get some funny looks from other pedestrians but whether they were amazed I didn’t know about the Beach House or worried that I was going to chat to them about it I’ll never know. After a recommendation from a friend, I went there with a few people to try it out. It has a pretty chilled out atmosphere and there was some good live music playing. The food let the place down though. I think it would be a great place for a few beers in the city after work but find somewhere else to eat first. The nachos was a big soggy pile of corn chips under mince, a heavy layer of cheese and some sour cream and guacamole(artificial) slopped on top. Our steak was chewy and accompanied by soggy chips. So I can’t give Beach House five stars as the bar food is very important to me when I am considering after work drinks(I’m a hungry drinker). Also, being a massive fan of nachos, their terrible attempt at it was almost offensive.

I use to drink here a lot, not because I particularly liked the set up, but it was so conveniently located right outside the bus station in the Myer Center. The wine list is average but as long as I stick to my Poets Corner. Coupled with their volcano wedges and it becomes a nice Sunday afternoon drinking spot. If you’re looking for a good meal deal, Monday is their Steak night — $ 9.90 for a rump, chips and salad with any drink purchase. The Beach House is definitely a bar for the blokes. If you are looking for a girlie catch up over wines, stay away from here on a Friday or Saturday night. It’s crowded, sweaty and filled with loud, live music. Bah! Humbug!

I remember spending almost the entire soccer world cup at the Beach House Bar & Grill. The atmosphere there was absolutely perfect for such a big event; charged with loud and drunken energy, with rouseabout sports enthusiasts constantly screaming at the widescreen TVs, egging their favourite teams on. I think the reason the Beach House Bar & Grill is so perfect for such shenanigans is that it’s really a group atmosphere. It’s the perfect location to go for a meal or a few beers with mates when you want to stay in the throng of the action. It’s also in a prime location in the middle of the city, so it makes for a great meeting point and central venue. I have actually never had a bad time at the Beach House Bar & Grill, but maybe that’s because I’ve mostly gone there with boys? It’s definitely a boy atmosphere, but girls will still get a kick out of the fun-loving ambience and live Friday night music. Beers are pretty cheap by the jug and the place is a great buzzing hive of activity when the weekend rolls around. Beach House is always a starting venue, never a finishing point. So get in and have a few beers to start the night off with a bang.
