Royal Hotel

After looking at the menu on-​line and reading review on TA we decided to have diner here on a Friday night while in Bowral, and I wish we hadn’t.
Wait staff were nice enough, but the biggest problem we had was my partners dinner was served well before mine and she was basically finished eating before mine arrived (or it would have been cold). Although I bought up a couple of times that my meal hadn’t arrived, no one seemed to think this was a priority. So much for having dinner together.
On the food itself, it was not up to scratch
Pork belly and scallops for entrée. Scallops were over cooked and there was no cracking on the pork belly.
Spatchcock for main course, ironically was overcooked (so why did I have to wait so long for my meal). Understandably we passed on desert.
In Summary, the Royal bar and Dining could be very good, but isn’t. There are lots of better options in town.
