The best chicken in the world. And I love everything else they have. Char’s fried rice is my Achilles heel. The staff are great too :) My only suggestion is more dessert offerings for chubbers like myself that like to eat all day errrday!

I have walked past this store on many occasions and always been intrigued by the many food options they offer. Salads and cooked chicken rotisserie as well as deli style pre cooked meats.
Finally decided to step in and see what they tasted like. Salads all looked great. Was between quinoa, brown rice brown rice salad or Thai chicken salad for me. I opted to go for the Quinoa salad.
The quinoa salad was combined with avocado, pomegranate seeds and nuts. Delicious combination.
My friend went for chicken and rice. The chicken was marinated with a sweet sauce. The portions on both were very generous and allowed us to leave satisfied .
Plenty of staff on in there and options were good and the services was very friendly. Will go here again and try out the rest of the salads ;)

Good value, a large choice of sides including yummy salads, and the chicken is very good as well, which makes the place great when you for have time to make dinner and still want a healthy meal :)
Also good if you have guests!

So as a Yank transplant in Sydders I am getting used to the world of Aussie chicken shops. Some are meh, some are ok, some are good, some are really good. But the Char is truly in a first class of its own.
First of all, they have way more than just chicken– amazing salads, incredible pasta dishes, stir fries for days, etc. All consistently tasty and fresh. Their chips are to die for– perfectly crispy. Secondly, all of their dishes appear to be (and taste) completely homemade (I actually think they bottle and sell their sauces.) Lastly, the value for money considering the quality of food is outstanding. They sell massaman lamb shanks which I’ve been dying to try.
Places like the Char make me want to give up my Inner West digs for Bondi… with a squillion places to eat on Bondi Rd, you can’t go wrong with choosing the Char.
