Good beer, unmotivated employees and unwelcoming atmosphere. A lot of potential for improvement

Schlechtes Essen und schlechte Bedienung. Die Barkeeperin erinnert sich nicht an die Bestellungen. Der Manager und die Kellner spielen andauern auf ihren Handys.

Internationaler Pub, gelegen in einem Keller zwischen Münchner Freiheit und Giselastraße.
Vorab: NIE hungrig dort hin gehen, denn das Essen dort ist sein Geld nicht wert.
Aber der Reihe nach.
Lage/​Atmosphäre:
Im Keller recht dunkel gelegen, aber irgendwie daher auch gemütlich. Im Sommer wohl ein No-​Go, im kalten Januar aber ok. Richtiges Aussie-​Feeling kommt aber nicht auf.
Service:
Die Kellner sind cool drauf und nett, aber einfach nur unkoordiniert. An der Bar wird bestellt. Bestellt man Drinks udn Essen, muss man bei verschiedenen Kellnern zahlen. Bei noch nicht erfolgtem Alkoholgenuss lässt sich das noch ganz gut managen, aber am Ende eines Abends könnte das doch etwas kompliziert werden.
Bis das Essen gebracht wird, dauert es ewig und darauf wird nicht hingewiesen. Unser bestellter Pie kam 1 Stunde nicht, dann wurde uns gesagt, dass er leider aus sei, wir aber einen Burger haben könnten. Dieser hat fast wieder eine Stunde geraucht. Kein Hinweis, keine Entschuldigung, nichts!
Drinks:
Cocktails sind ok. Niveau Sausalitos. Daher den Preis nicht wert. Aber ein Pub ist auch nicht der Ort für Cocktails. Dafür gibt es genug Bier und Cider zur Auswahl. Insbesondere letztere sind lecker und günstig. Aber Achtung, die Flasche ist über 500ml groß. Falls sich nochjemand so wie ich damit nicht auskennt, ist sie/​er hiermit vorgewarnt :-)
Essen:
Wie oben beschrieben, dauert es ewig. Und es handelt sich hier nicht um eigenes gekochte Gerichte, bei denen irgendetwas frisch geschnitten oder gemacht wird. Billige Auftauware und «fried stuff». Sowas dürfte höchstens 20 Minuten dauern. Wenn dann ein einfacher Wrap mit Falafelbällchen 45b Minuten braucht, ist die Küche einfach überfordert. Auch wurde erst 1 Stunde nach der Bestellung realisiert, dass der bestellte Pie nun aus sei. Sowas muss man vorher wissen. Wenn die Küche so arbeitet, möchte ich nicht wissen, WER dort WIE arbeitetr und wie hygienisch es dort sein mag.
Alles in allem: Für einen Cider oder ein Bier — ja. Aber da sollte es genug bessere Alternativen in der Stadt geben.

After work drinks and dinner to try out this pub. I was directed here by a couple different friends. One comes to the regular Monday night quiz night and the other just has a knowledge of beer I greatly respect. I was drawn by the fact that they serve Crew, a Munich craft beer.
I love the décor. Very basic for the most part, but inviting. The posters on the back wall are great. The music was perfect mixture of Michael Jackson and Creed with a little Lady Antebellum thrown in for fun. It wasn’t crowded, but seeing as we were there at 6:00, that was surprising.
They have a limited but sufficient menu. Their hamburger (ordered by my friend) was a good sized patty, cooked medium with a number of topping choices. The verdict of my friend was it was good, but she wished she had ordered the fish and chips I had. As to those, it was a good size fillet of fish and the batter tasted much better than it looked. The chips were cooked well. It wasn’t the best Munich has to offer, but was more than edible and I was happy in the end.
As we were leaving it was getting busier and I have heard that it is quiet crowded on the weekend. They do take reservations and there are several «sections» so if you are coming with a large party, definitely call ahead.
The downsides: I was there on a bright, sunny, semi-​warm spring day and it was a little sad to go down into the basement as they have no outdoor seating. The other downside was they have a dart board, which is great, but the place would completely support a billiard table. Otherwise, a good place to grab a drink, probably better in the winter than the summer, though.

The Keg bar is excellent — it has a really cool international vibe and a really nice set-​up.
Other amazing perk — free beer every evening (M-​F). I happened to hit it perfectly the last time I went :) Basically, at some random point in the night, all beer is free for a full 30 minutes!
I will definitely be making this one of my regular spots.

A friend of ours Harry, decided to open this bar in Schwabing. It’s been in the works for a good few months and tons of work has gone into making this place what it is now. It’s looks quite small from the outside but, the moment you step down into the bar you realise its a decent size place with lots of seating and of course, standing areas. It’s truly an International bar /​pub. When we arrived at 9 it was packed and there were over a hundred people there.
The ambience is wonderful and, for sport lovers there are three big screens with different games on, both local and international. If you are not into sports there is plenty of other distractions on offer like reasonably priced drinks and dart boards or, talking to strangers ;-)) Of course if you are there with friends /​family you can talk to them too ;-))
There a variety of local and international beers on offer and, some craft beer also. Lots of long drink options and the prices for long drinks are just slightly more than the beers, a welcome change to long drink prices in the rest of Munich. The staff are international and speak good English. The service was very friendly and for their first night on the job did well to keep customers happy. There will be a food menu however tonight it was finger food on the house :-)
There are a few kinks to work out and over time the menu for drinks and food will expand and change. Pub quiz /​Trivia night is planned for Monday nights starting the 23^rd of March and other regular events will develop as time goes on. We will be back for pub quiz for sure and come with friends for certain sports events and so on. A great addition to Schwabing.
