This place opened up in Hohenzollernplatz a couple of months ago and, I was so delighted and been meaning to try it since. This style of cuisine is my favourite Chinese cuisine besides yum cha and, I have really missed it here in Germany. I would rate this place 4.5 stars only for the food. It’s a bit more expensive than I expected but, the portions are great for sharing. It is the only way to eat Szechwan food anyway. If you’re scared of spicy food then, this is probably not the place for you. They do have some dumplings and things which are mild but, why come here for that? ;-) The menu has many of the traditional Szechwan dishes and one of my favourites, Braised beef in a chili sauce. Ask for it super scharf and you can thank me later ;-)) Szechwan pepper is hot but also contains a stimulant that will tingle your tongue for a bit and, will fade soon enough. I loved the food here and it was good. I would ask for it proper Szechwan scharf next time, as I could have used a bit more heat. The people are friendly but a bit preoccupied on their phones. I suppose it’s the challenge and growing pains of a new business. I am sure it will be different once they get busy. The flavours are authentic and the food is delicious. Come here with a few friends and share a few dishes. The main courses are designed to share. If you are really hungry you can eat a whole main by yourself but, why do that when you can share? ;-) I will definitely be back here again and look forward to my next visit. Good Chinese in Munich is a rarity and good Szechwan is almost non existent in this town. It’s a nice edition to the neighborhood :-))
