Recomendable.

There’s not very much to say about Jaeger’s: it’s a hostel, it’s pretty okay. + It’s close to the main station, — but not very close to the city center. + There’s airconditioning in the(dorm) rooms. + There’s a private bathroom for every single room. + There’s lockers big enough to have your(55+15 liter) backpack in. + They offer a quite good all-you-can-eat-breakfast, — but it’s not included and costs € 5. I’d say it’s not worth the price if you want to enjoy breakfast, but it’s alright if you don’t have time to go somewhere else. — The beds are crappy. + The lounge is nice(and internet works good enough down there to have proper FaceTime-conversations). + Friendly staff. I guess the fact that you pay quite a bit(€ 24 /night, plus € 5 for breakfast if you’d like) and not really getting anything special, plus the location and beds make it a place I wouldn’t totally recommend. But, it’s definitely alright if you don’t find anything better.

Me and 6 friends stayed here during Oktoberfest in 2010. Of all the hostels we stayed at throughout Europe, I probably liked this one least. It was clean and in a good location(walking distance from the festival which was awesome!) but it just wasn’t that comfortable. Our room was larger than at most hostels but was just very plain and cold feeling. It was a bit loud being right on the street too. The front desk people were quite rude and not very helpful and the internet was down for the 4 days we were there(we were able to use the internet at the hostel next door though). There’s a bar in the lobby which was pretty good and the place was always packed, day or night. They served breakfast in the morning which was OK. I would probably try out a different place next time we went back– there were a ton of hostels in the area. The area it’s in is very fun though, you can walk all over and sight-see and go to amazing restaurants and bars! We took a bus from the airport and it dropped us off not too far from the hostel.

Without even having to read the details of the place, doesn’t it already say it all? What do you normally associate Jäger with? Duh… that creepy licoricey syrup of an alcohol ingested to create blurred memories and awesome times… just like what happened during my stay here. And the kicker… they give you a welcome shot of Jäger upon your arrival. How AWESOME is that? In a rather clean and convenient location of Munich, this hostel, amongst the rest, provides a great resting stop for people coming and leaving Munich… or in my case, coming and leaving Oktoberfest. And I mean literally mean it. We checked out at the moment between coming back from Oktoberfest and heading to our train within 30 mins. It’s 1 block from the HBF train which is super convenient, and ½ block from some nice food stops, one of which at the corner serves Doner Kebab which I still look back to wishing I had just one more taste of. It was the perfect spot to be for Oktoberfest since at 9am sharp, we were able to see the people dressed up and heading towards the park. The room we stayed in was practically like a hotel room with our own bathroom and shower. The shower and facilities are also very accommodating and beds relatively comfortable. Tips: –They have lockers for you to use throughout the day but charge 1 Euro for renting locks. –They have free internet, except it only works in the lobby most of the time –They have breakfast buffet at a cost but the food is just eggs and waffles(better than some other places) and nothing with nothing of German origin

My sister and I were initially hesitant after making our Hostel World reservations to stay in a 40 person dorm. Do not be alarmed, even though it was technically a 40 person room they had dividers with 3 bunks in each little area so it was basically your own room. Mind you, my sister, my friend and myself were the only women in the 40 person. All the guys were there for quality beer excursions. The bathroom was spacious and clean and you got a shot of Jaegar when you checked in. The lobby/common area became a bar at night but was also a nice place to relax during the day. It was very affordable and in a great location. They also had plenty of resources for tourists and we were able to go on a very fun free bike tour.
