Vapiano

Allgemein sind Pasta, Pizza und Salat sehr lecker und der Preis ist auch okay. Leider wurden die Preise in den vergangenen Jahren schon etwas erhöht :/​und auch die Wartezeit ist länger geworden und die Sitzgelegenheiten immer noch nicht bequemer. Die Köche sind aber meist ganz lustig und nett und alles schmeckt gut.
Das Vapiano ist für ein Mittagessen mit einer Freundin genau das richtige, aber leider nicht wirklich etwas Besonderes.
Da ich hier aber immer zufrieden war, gibt es 3 Sternchen :)

Vom Geschmack her ist dieser Vapiano den anderen Filialen durchaus ebenbürtig, doch von der Geschwindigkeit her leider überhaupt nicht.
Man bräuchte die Signalgeber wenn eine Pizza fertig ist, hier streng genommen für alle Gerichte. Der Bereich vor dem Tresen ist relativ eng, da man beim Schlangestehen schon gleich die nächste Sitzbank im Rücken hat und das Gedrängel gerade um die Mitagszeit kann einem wirklich die Laune verderben.
Ansonsten sehr schön gemacht, viele verschiedene Sitzgelegenheiten, drinen und draußen.
Also, zur Mittagszeit rechtzeitig da sein, dann funktioniert das hier eigentlich recht gut.

Eigentlich wie jeder andere Vapiano in Deutschland auch. Allerdings könnte dieser etwas größer sein, zu bestimmten Zeiten findet man hier keinen Platz. War bereits der dritte Anlauf, aber diesmal hat es funktioniert

Das Vapiano bietet günstige und frische italienische Küche an, alles wird direkt vor den Augen am «Tresen» zubereitet. Als großen Minuspunkt sehe ich die Wartezeit an, da diese Restaurantkette sehr beliebt ist und somit viele Besucher zählt, die täglich, egal ob Mittags oder Abends dort essen. Nur mit Glück erwischt man einen Tisch. Es ist somit auch sehr laut und meines Erachtens nach keine geeignete Lokal um in Ruhe sein Essen zu genießen.
Fazit: Wen die Lautstärke nicht stört und einen preiswerten Italiener sucht ist hier richtig aufgehoben.

Der perfekte Kantinen-​Ersatz in Laufweite vom Neuen Wall und damit von der Arbeit. Vapiano an sich ist von den Preisen und der Qualität insgesamt eher so mittelmäßig, aber im Vergleich zu den Restaurants in der näheren Umgebung dennoch eine sehr gute Option.
Das macht sich leider auch dadurch bemerkbar, dass der Laden extrem gut besucht ist. Ich komme mittags auch nicht mehr vor 14 Uhr hierher, sonst ist es einfach zu voll. Dazu kommt noch, dass es insgesamt recht klein ist hier und nicht sehr viele Sitzplätze vorhanden sind. Man kann aber schon vor dem Betreten des Ladens durch die großen Glaswände sehen, wie voll es ist, und dann im Zweifelsfall woanders hingehen.
Ich esse meistens Pasta-​Gerichte, die immer gut zubereitet sind. Keine Gourmet-​Qualität, aber dennoch besser als in den meisten Kantinen oder Großküchen. Alternative, wenn die Schlangen an den Pasta-​Küchen zu lang sind ist Pizza. Die haut mich auch nie wirklich vom Hocker aber ist trotzdem gut genug und schnell und unkompliziert fertig.
Für eine (späte) Mittagspause also absolut in Ordnung.

Pasta ja Pizza nein. Tolle Einrichtung, leckere Auswahl. Schade nur, dass man so viel für Extras wie zb Hähnchen zahlt.

Sehr netter Laden an den hohen Bleichen in Hamburg also gut gelegen in der Nähe von Alster und Innenstadt.
Als wir auf einen Samstagabend dort ankamen, waren leider überhaupt keine Plätze mehr frei.
Das hatten wir schon mehrfach. Die lassen auch durchgehend noch leute rein auch wenn diese keinen Platz mehr finden.
An dieser Stelle geht mir das Fast Prinzip vom Vapiano zu weit. Dann lieber die Leute abweisen bis wieder Platz da ist.
Ich und ein Kumpel mussten uns daher mit einem Stehplatz begnügen.
Die Reaktion der Angestellten war jedoch vorbildlich.
Es wurde weiter (wenn auch leider erfolglos) nach einem freien Tisch gesucht und wir bekamen von mehreren Seiten sofort etwas als Entschädigung angeboten. So war der Nachtisch schließlich umsonst.
Ich habe selten so viele freundliche, gut gelaunte Angestellte gesehen, das war sehr positiv.
Das Essen schmeckt gewohnt gut. Die Nudeln dürfen gerne länger kochen. Preislage zwischen 7 – 11 Euro, die Getränke um die 3 Euro.
Alles in allem zufriedenstellend.

Das Personal ist top und immer freundlich, obwohl es immer brechend voll ist. Das Essen ist lecker und es ist für jeden etwas dabei.

Dieser Vapiano ist glaub ich der kleinste in Hamburg.

Heute hab ich mal die extrem Situation gehabt das ich mich auf meine Karte gesetzt habe und diese dann leider unbrauchbar dadurch wurde.
Was aber kein Problem für die Kassiererin war, denn sie suchte einfach meine Karte Manuel im. System und konnte mich dann so abkassieren.
Bin sehr überdacht, dass dieses Restaurant noch so freundlich ist, da ich leider des öfteren vom vapiano enttäuscht wurde

Vapiano ist für mich immer eine“sichere” Anlaufstelle wenn ich einen leckeren Salat haben möchte.
Bedienung
Nungut, es muss halt alles selbst geholt werden und die Bedienungen hinter den Theken sind insofern eigentlich immer freundlich.
Das Essen
Leckeres und frisches Essen, leider gab es das Tagesangebot nicht mehr.
Das Ambiente
Tolle Atmosphere im «Loungestil»…offener jedoch gemütlicher Grossraum.
Sauberkeit
Einwandfreie Sauberkeit. Personal ist die ganze Zeit aufmerksam um freigewordene Plätze schnellstmöglich zu reinigen.

Vapiano sollte über ein Mitarbeiter Wechsel nachdenken! Und das dringend !!!

Hier hat man immer die Auswahl — Pizza-​Pasta-​Salate-​Suppen gefällig? Es ist nie schlecht und immer ganz gut.
Nach meinem Geschmack ist es ein bissl zu teuer, wenn man bedenkt, dass man sich wie in einer kultigen Kantine, alles selber holt. Für eine Kette ist es durchaus ganz gut, allerdings finde ich die Getränkeauswahl nur bedingt gut. Je nach Tag, kann man Glück oder Pech haben mit den Bedienungen.
Drei Sterne für ein durchschnittliches Erlebnis. Vier Sterne, weil mein Kerl so gerne herkommt. Zwei Sterne für die Getränkeauswahl. Fünf Sterne für das Urspungskonzept und 1 Stern für das Preis-​Leistungs-​Verhältnis. Macht 3 Sterne gesamt.

Für mich das beste Vapiano in Hamburg:
Sehr freundliches Personal, es wird einem das Gericht auch durchaus mal an den Platz gebracht, wenn der Laden nicht zu voll ist.
Dazu sind die Gäste nicht so prollig wie an der Rothenbaumchaussee und die Angestellten sind nicht so rotzfrech, wie in der Filiale am Hauptbahnhof, wo man gerne mal mit Hecktischen Handbewegungen angefeuert wird nun endlich mal zu bestellen und dazu bei fast jeder Bestellung Fehler eingebaut werden.
Kurzum: Hohe Bleichen hat offenbar die beste Filialleitung und ist daher mein Laden, obwohl Rotherbaum örtlich näher an mir dran wäre.

I visited vapiano twice earlier this month while I was in hamburg. I was completely blown away by this place. You walk in and pick up a card, on which all your meals will be charged to and you trade in the card and pay for your meal. It is a casual little place where you share your table with fellow diners. They do have english menu cards that you can grab and walk up to the kitchen counter that is divided into pasta, pizza and salad. You take your position of choice and order your dish. I had pasta on both my visits; the chef asks you to pick the type of pasta you want before he cooks up delicious dish right in front of you. All bread and pasta is made in house every single day and is fresh and delicious.
All tables are lined with little pots of fresh basil and oregano plant and great quality olive oils. There is also a wine and drinks bar that also houses desserts. You can walk up and pick your choice of item that will be charged to your card. They had great choices for wines as well as coffee/​tea.
On my first visit, I had pasta with shrimp and the 2^nd time I had pesto rosso. Both were delicious especially with freshly torn basil and oregano leaves on top. The bread was delicious dipped with some fresh olive oil. This place is also great value. I had a plate of pasta, glass of wine and a slice of tiramisu for 13 Euro… now that is true value. Will definitely go back the next time I am in town.

Es ist super, es schmeckt immer gut und es ist gut zu erreichen.
Aber man sollte schon vor allem Abends und in der Mittagszeit nen Tisch vorbestellen den es ist immer sehr voll.
Ist aber auch kein Wunder bei dem guten Essen

Wonderful place!
I discovered it a Friday afternoon when a coworker of mine started Unilocaling for this restaurant he used to frequent in Düsseldorf, and since pasta always sounds better than a salad bowl from the supermarket next door, I agreed to the adventure.
It is definitely an Italian restaurant, it is definitely a franchise, but it’s not your kind of ordinary «big» franchise; this one has a certain character of its own. It looks like a high-​end restaurant, and they offer a unique food experience: you pick a meal out from the menu, join the queue for the kitchen bar, and see how your dish is cooked right in front of you!
I definitely recommend everyone to try it out. There are cheaper places out there with good food, but sometimes you’re looking for a change, something different that offers at the same time an experience your kind of familiar with. This is that kind of place.

Gute Qualität und saisonale Salate. Immer ein Besuch Wert, der italienische Mc Donald mit Qualität.

Vapiano ist in meinen Augen das modernen McDonalds. Massenabfertigung pur mit langen Wartezeiten. Sehr schlechter Service, die Mitarbeiter sind unfreundlich. Unglaublich lange Wartezeiten an den Schlangen.
Ausserdem sind die Preise auf dem Niveau von guten Restaurants. Von einem guten Restaurant kann man aber auch erwarten, dass man bedient wird und einen gewissen Service erfährt. Davon ist bei Vapiano leider weit und breit nichts zu sehen.
Jedes italienische Restaurant macht bessere Pasta als Vapiano.

Das Essen in den Vapiano-​Restaurants ist immer lecker und gerade in dieser Filiale ist das Ambiente sehr schön und im Sommer kann man auch herrlichen draußen sitzen.
Aber: Mittags ist es hier brechend voll und man wartet und wartet an den Stationen, an denen entweder Pasta, Pizza oder Salat frisch zubereitet werden. Super nervig und für eine entspannte Mittagspause ein No-​Go ! Bei jedem Italiener kann man am Tisch auf sein Essen warten und muß sich nicht von jemanden schocken lassen, der vor einem plötzlich für sich und seine Kumpels fünf Nudel-​Gerichte bestellt. Und günstiger ist es hier auch nicht. Also ich stehe in der Mittagspause nicht gerne in der Schlage, dafür gibt es gerade was das italienische Essen in der City angeht zu viele Alternativen.
Gutes Konzept aber zu wenig Köche im Einsatz ! Das Publikum ist hier sehr angenehm, es kommen überwiegend Geschäftsleute.
Das Lokal wurde 2002 eröffnet. Es war das erste Vapinao-​Restaurant in Hamburg, ein weiteres liegt an der Rothenbaumchaussee, das dritte an den Kurzen Mühren. Man erhält ein ein Krombacher vom Fass oder eine leckeren Vino.
Die Filiale an der Rothenbaumchaussee neben Hamburg 1 ist etwas besser organisiert und nicht ganz so überlaufen !
Trotzdem einfach mal einkehren !

Irgendwie ist mir das Vapiano zu anstrengend. Zu gewollt trendy, zu Möchtegern irgendwie. Aber gut, das ist meine persönliche Einschätzung, also zurück zum Wesentlichen.
Das Essen dort ist ok, italienisch angehaucht, solide, zu soliden Preisen, aber eben nichts Besonderes. Noch dazu das etwas anstrengende Ich-​hole-​mir-​mein-​Essen-​selbst-​System, bei dem man eigentlich davon ausgehen kann, dass immer irgendjemand isst, nur nicht alle zusammen. Schade, dafür geht man doch eigentlich essen.
Aber ich muss Stephan R. Recht geben, man weiß, was man bekommt. Große Katastrophen bleiben in der Regel aus. Mein persönliches Fazit: Kann man machen, in einer Stadt wie Hamburg hat man aber wirklich bessere Alternativen. Wenn man diese nicht kennt oder eben keine Lust hat, sich auf die Suche zu machen, wird man hier durchaus satt. Man weiß eben, was man bekommt.

We love this restraint, we are often in Hamburg and we always make sure we get time for a visit.
If you are looking for a great lunch that don’t cost too much, and you don’t mind sharing a table with strangers then drop in.
They make all there pasta in house, and have a great range of sauces.
In different price ranges, there fresh pizzas are also great.

The food is really pretty good and for a decent price. The problem is that this place is way too popular. If you come at 9:30pm on a Tuesday it’ll be full. Don’t come with a group of more than 3. Don’t come at lunchtime. If you follow these rules, then it’s a pretty decent place to grab a salad or some fresh italian food. Otherwise you’ll end up giving a review like Richard’s.

Really terrible.
I have been to Vapiano many times in Stockholm, where i love it.
But here in Hamburg (where amazingly the concept was invented) it is useless.
If i wanted to spend my lunchtime queuing i would have stayed in the uk, or gone to moscow (in 1980)
20 mins in the queue. Didn’t get to order as we gave up walked out and went somewhere else. Avoid.

This is a good place if your searching for a fresh meal. Special about it: You don’t enter, sit down and wait for the waitress. As soon as you enter, you are handed a debit card and walk up to a cook who is standing behind a food counter. You tell the cook your order and he will prepare your meal infront of you! This is simply a GREAT concept! You can ask the cook for extra wishes or tell him to leave something out. Once you finished eating, you stand up and return your card and pay. Now comes the best part: a drink with a fresh pizza (or plate of pasta) don’t cost mroe than McDonalds!

Best place for quick and healthy italian food. Self made pasta available with all kinds of sauces and ingredients of your choice. Also offers fresh baked pizza, salads and georgous desserts! You can watch your meal cooking and talk to the cook if you have any extra wishes or remarks on your personal meal. Everything you eat or has to be paid when you leave the restaurant. Great concept! Some cooks are friendly and some are not, sometimes its totally crowed and sometimes not. But generally you will have a good time! Its unusual for northern germany that everyone is sharing tables with people they dont know. This is the first restaurant where this concept is totally accepted! Especially Hamburgers are still very shy if you join them at ‘their’ table. Dont be dissappointed if they dont smile or talk to you — they do not ment to be unfriendly — we just dont know better :-)

Still the best Italian place in Hamburg, together with other Vapiano’s around the city. There are so many copycats lately coming out but this place keeps the standard very well and everytime when we go there it’s a special enjoyment.
Everything here tastes good, pizza, pasta, salads, bread…

Vapiano est typiquement le genre d’endroit où je né met pas les pieds, grand, situé dans un quartier d’affaires de la ville, déco corporate, cartes magnétiques qui enregistrent les menus choisis bref ceci dit ce fut une asez bonne surprise, les pâtes sont fraîches et cuites aldente rien que pour vous et devant vos yeux ébahis les produits sont frais et rien n’attend.
Le résultat est impéccable, les pâtes sont buonissimes les salades bellissimes et comble du bonheur: l’espresso est vraiment ristretto!

I love going to Vapiano! Mövenpick had this concept of made-​to-​order-​in-​front-​of-​you back home in Israel, and ever since they ran out of business, I hadn’t seen this concept done anywhere else but Vapiano.
Vapiano concentrate on Italian foods, so you’re going to find pizzas, pastas, salads and antipasti mostly. I like the fact that their pasta dishes are considerably more creative than any of the other italian restaurants I’ve visited in Hamburg, I highly recommend checking out their Penne with shrimp in lobster-​sauce and carrot. It’s the most expensive on the menu (about 9.50eu) but is gosh-​darn yummy!
I don’t like the queues at Vapiano — you need to wait in line for everything — and seating is scarce during lunchtime, but once in a while Vapiano is a wonderful alternative to the cheap-​as-​chump-​change italian restaurants in the area.

I found this place originally in Frankfurt but also tried it out in Hamburg once or twice already. I’ve only been for lunch and never went here for dinner. It’s decent food, cooked in front of you, and then eaten at the tables, after you serve yourself. You pay at the front when leaving using the card you receive when coming in. The food is pretty standard wanna-​be Italian fare. I personally don’t really like the concept as I feel that too much is left to chance. I’ve had well made dishes and poorly made dishes. I depends on whom you get making it. I also dislike how unclear it is exactly what you could order. I always feel like I’m missing something. I also dislike how everything is in different places. I am never sure where I can get what. Finally, the seating really isn’t comfortable at this location. I don’t ever really enjoy spending time there. At the same time, for a quick lunch and variety here and there, ok. It does get kind of full at lunch and has been full when I walked by in the evenings. Still, it’s definately not the greatest find.

Hit and miss Italian concept restaurant which is now very popular all over Germany. I agree with Joziee — basically sometimes it’ll be nice but quite a lot of the time it isn’t. The queues are basically stupidly long too, if you arrive anything like after 1200 on the dot. Save yourself the hassle and stress and get down to La Luna instead…

Perfect place to go for a quick bite or enjoy a longer, nice dinner. The interior looks much alike an typical, cosy Italian plaza located on one of the small cobblestoned, ornated streets somewhere in warm Italy. Expect now, youre in the city centre of Hamburg!
The food is fresh, and good value for your money. I tried the rucola Ravioli (photos!), which was absolute exquisite! The tiramisu was ok, although my fathers orginal Italian recipe tasted a whole lot of better.
Definitely visit the toilets, what makes you feel like entering a majestic kings palace.
Plus: No more waiting for the bill. Your meals & drinks are put on your personal card (you get one at the entrance), which you pay on your way out!
Should go back there to try the pizzas… they smelled very tasty with their fresh ingredients and herbs!

This is a very useful informal Italian restaurant for lunch in the centre of Hamburg; you order your food at different stations (like the pasta or the pizza station) and it is made from fresh ingredients in front of you.
Sometimes a bit slow, especially if it gets busy, but good value for money and good quality of food.
