SItting right on the corner of the plaza is this small Starbucks. When you walk inside, there’s a few tables, the counter, and the door to the toilet. Oh then you see the stairs going upstairs, and this Starbucks is bigger than it looks. This Starbucks must be a touristy location(ok, what Starbucks in Europe isn’t?) because there’s signs upstairs warning patrons to watch out for Pickpockets. YIKES! That’s the first time I had to think about that in Germany. Italy yes. but never felt unsafe in Germany! Upstairs is a little stuffy, but still enjoyable to sit and play on the wifi. I find it weird that patrons just walk away from their cups when they are done, instead of putting them in the washbin at the bottom of the stairs. But, when in Germany… do as the locals do.

Personally my most favorite Starbuck’s in Frankfurt — set right next to the first German Parliament(- Paulkirche/St. Paul’s church), the Roemer and close to the Dom. Due to its location most customers are tourist from all over the place which makes me wonder if Starbuck’s only hires foreign language majors out of college or why are they all perfectly fluent in English with all its dialects from Alabama to India and China? Respect The products are the same as elsewhere which makes me feel home a bit. Just the German pricing makes me dizzy — 4 Euro for a cup of grand white mocca no whip? Come on guys If this is how you convert 3,20USD into Euro, no one is wondering why revenues are down
