That this place does great business in an area of town (Nordend and Nordwestend) where if you swung a cat, you’d hit a pizza restaurant in any direction, is no wonder.
Another wonder is how small and cozy this place is. If you can fit 6 customers at 1 time, you will rubbing elbows. Yet the pizza is good, cheap and the place looks like a shrine to it’s owner, Pepe, with all his idiosyncrasies and knick-​knacks on shelves. The atmosphere is what makes this place so much fun to visit, for you feel more like you stepped into Pepe’s house more than a professional, impersonal restaurant. Pepe is also disappointed if you don’t drink a glass of wine or beer, either.
The pizza isn’t the best in the world, but it’s more than above average. It’s an experience for all the senses, not just your tongue.
