Fleming’s Deluxe Hotel Frankfurt Main-Riverside

I spent the week here for Light + Building at the Messe. Hence it was a 5 night business trip. And, while this was a lovely hotel I will never stay at again as they lack specific amenities I expect in a hotel when travelling for business.
Let’s start on a few positive notes. The staff here are lovely, most accommodating. They are genuinely nice. Whenever I needed them they were here at my beck and call. The restaurant in the hotel is very good with a lovely breakfast and premium quality cuisine. The room itself was dead quiet and you really could hear a pin drop ²⁴⁄₇.
My negatives are as follows. I wanted a hot water kettle in the room. I also wanted a coffee maker or some method to prepare tea and/​or instant coffee ²⁴⁄₇. For 318.25 Euros per night they could not figure this out? They were also stingy with the bottled water. Again, at 318.25 Euros per night I expect a liter+ each day, not a tiny glass bottle. The room was small with an odd shower more suited for a handicapped individual. They were also cheap with the towels. I like two big towels, not one.
If I were paying 125 Euros per night I could overlook the lack of amenities, But I paid considerable money to stay here and expected more. For money there are better options, many closer to the Messe.
Nice people, well kept property; however, a place I will not frequent again.

I’m afraid I was not really a fan. Now the slight disclaimer to be fair to the place is that I ended up unwell by the end of my stay so it left me with a bad general impression which is probably not all their fault, but I have tried to be fair which is why I have ended up at three stars.
Positives.
* great big and varied breakfast. Lots of food options.
* friendly helpful staff.
* ran a free shuttle bus to the Messe for the trade show I was going to.
* good riverside location.
Negatives
* horrific room lay out. Shower in the middle of the room.
* poor drinks options at breakfast.
* expensive bar with limited food options.
* noisy location.
* uncomfortable bed and pillows.
* awful wi fi connection.
This place is trying to be premium, but falls short in my opinion. That said the location is good, so don’t rule it out completely as it does have plus points.

Internet is awful. WIFI needs to have password and login re-​entered every 5 – 10 minutes and its very slow.
Breakfast set up is great but at 13 Euro on your bill so be aware of that charge.
Close to walking near everything. Multi-​language friendly.
Shower «stall» in the middle of the room can be awkward if you aren’t used to showering on display for your mate. I was traveling alone but could imagine the entertainment possibilities if I was traveling with a companion. «uh could you leave the entire hotel room so I can shower?»

Update: Management wrote to me, thanking me for the review, and also to tell me not to refer people to park on the streets. They’ve been known to ticket, so I guess fork out the 19 euros and park in their private lot.

Gehobene Mittelklasse. Für den Preis (EZ 155 €) ist man aber besseres gewöhnt. Zimmer waren gut, die Konferenzräume hingegen alt und abgenutzt. Keine Atmosphäre, in der man gerne arbeitet! Dafür gibt es dicke Abzüge!
Richtig toll hingegen war das Essen! Sowohl das Frühstück wie auch das Mittagessen konnten voll überzeugen. Auch das Ambiente im Restaurant war frisch und modern — da fühlt man sich wohl! Ebenfalls war der Service hervorragend.

Klasse Hotel! Einfach Top!

Convenient location — close to the city center (10 min walking), but not on a crowded street.
Comfortable room but be warned the shower is a clear glass cubicle in the room in full view. Bar & restaurant cry chic, staff very professional, most seemed at least bi lingual, German and English as a min. Breakfast has excellent variety of food — fruits, sweets, lox meet and cheese, eggs and bacon in the buffet, eggs to order. Good experience.
