Had a mixed vegetarian starter platter for 2, mixed Tandoori and a Mango Lassi.
Good things first: Mango Lassi. I guess you can’t really screw that up.
The mixed vegetarian starter platter for 2 is just awful. Dry, fried — you don’t even taste what’s in there. For some reason, our mixed vegetarian platter contained meat — but I realized it after eating it, just tasted like everything else — neutral and greedy.
My mixed Tandoori was just awful. I am used to get Tandoori with a creamy sauce. Was nothing like that. Just a huge platter of (bad and old tasting) meat.
The service was quiet bad too. Took ages til we had the food and ages til the guys realized that we wanted to pay. Which was bad cause I had a very bad stomach ache after eating here and I was sweating like hell. I will never return.

Curry King is a great curry house. reminds me of being in a curry house back in England. The food is decent but a little pricier than some other places in Frankfurt.
The décor inside is brilliant lots of fabrics and comfy chairs to sit on as you enjoy your tasty curry. The staff are very attentive and happy to help.
I have to say one thing that probably lets this place down is the name. Curry King reminds me of a kebab shop I used to go to in fallowfield Manchester where you could get a curry for about 3 quid and for 3 quid the curries were poor at best.
However this place is brilliant and very tasty! So look past that name and go check out curry king.

Das Curry King ist sehr liebevoll eingerichtet. Das Personal ist sehr nett und aufmerksam. Auch die Präsentation des Essens stimmt. Das größte Problem ist das Essen selber. Es ist maximal durchschnittlich und eher schwächer im Vergleich zu anderen Indern. Das selbstgemachte Mangogetränk ist jedoch sehr lecker. 3 Punkte halte ich für angemessen!

Long Version:
We were a party of two there for dinner.
Restaurant itself:
We arrived quite early at 6pm and there were already another party there. When leaving at 20h30, the restaurant were still relatively empty with only three other tables occupied.
Pros:
— Charmingly decorated with ample seating space between tables and providing a relaxed ambiance.
Cons:
— The tablecloth on our table was still dirty with a large curry stain on it. It looked like it was a stain on a cloth that was not washed as opposed to a stain that did not wash out. Why don’t they notice this and care to have a clean tablecloth on the table?
— Small — there was no soap in the WC to wash one’s hands. I mentioned it to them afterwards.
Service:
Pros:
— Very friendly and helpful.
Cons:
— The service was a bit uninformed and rough around the edges with regards to service and customer etiquette.
— For the Curry King cocktail drink, the waiter served the glass still wet on the outside and the fluid was not water, but had some sugar and/​or alcohol mixed into it that left the hand sticky. I asked for a fresh glass because of this stickiness and they promptly brought a new glass, but simply put it on the table and left. I had to poor the cocktail myself from the old glass into the new one. A self-​service restaurant, but paying for a service?
— When our used plates after the starter was removed, the waiter wished to leave the used cutlery behind. We asked for fresh cutlery and they happily obliged, but were surprised by this request. Why don’t they by default provide clean cutlery with a fresh plate? This is not an imbiss, or?
Food:
Pros:
— The food came relatively quickly and we did not wait long. Perhaps this has to do that we were early there, arrived at 6pm, and that there were few patrons there.
Drinks:
— The Curry King cocktails tasted nice and fresh. I can recommend them.
— The mango lassies tasted like a mango lassie should. I can recommend them.
Starters:
— Mixed vegeterian platter for two people: All the food on it were deep fried and this left the food with little distinguishable from each other. Not recommended. Better to order something else for a starter.
Main Course:
— Chicken Korma: It tasted fresh, light and little bit sweet as it should. Recommendable.
— Chicken Jalfrezi: Lovely full taste with a great round flavour of spices. Recommendable
— Chicken Vindaloo: Like a vindaloo should taste, but nothing special. Nothing special.
For all the chicken dishes, the sauces tasted nice or as expected and the chicken fresh and soft. What could have been better is if the chicken was also prepared in the sauce, or left longer in the sauce, so that the flavour of the sauce can permeate the chicken. As was served, the chicken had no flavour — as chicken normally does — and the sauce had it’s own separate flavour in the mouth.
— Garlic Naan: Lovely fresh with an light oil layer and garlic on it. Recommendable.
— Raita: Fresh, smooth and tasty. Recommendable, especially if opting for a spicy curry.
Dessert:
— Gajar ka Halwa (carrot milk pudding): A wonderful rich taste with a course, but soft texture. Recommendable
— Gulab Jamun: The flour and milk balls tasted lovely, but they served them dry and without any rose-​water or syrup. With one of those two added, it would be worth recommending it. Nothing special
Thank-​you schnapps:
They offered us a schnapps of our choice as a thank-​you drink. We opted for the mango schnapps. It tasted nice.
The bill:
83 euros. For 83 euros we got a friendly and speedy service as can be expected. What we did not get for this money was food and knowledgeable service that we were entirely happy with. For this amount of money, we expect the basics of good restaurant service to be covered.
All in all: The experience was nice, but nothing that we would rush back to.

Wir haben mittags für 6 Personen Lieferservice bestellt. Bestellung wurde am Telefon wiederholt, um sicherzugehen, dass alles korrekt aufgenommen wurde. Sehr gut. Die angepeilten 45 Minuten Lieferzeit wurden um 5 Minuten unterboten. Auch gut. Die Gerichte kamen in vergleichsweise großen Lieferschalen an. Große Lieferschalen, große Portionen! Hervorragend. Jeder war voll des Lobes über sein Gericht. Ich hatte Saag Paneer, was lecker gewürzt war. Eine Kollegin hatte ein Linsengericht, das wie das Saag Paneer mit «mittelscharf» gekennzeichnet war. Es war allerdings deutlich schärfer, sodass ich mit ihr tauschen musste, weil es ihr einfach zu scharf war. Das Saag Paneer fand sie dann aber erträglich. Lecker war das Linsengericht trotz der Schärfe. Das Essen war allen auch heiß genug, topp. Preis-​Leistungsverhältnis unserer Meinung nach zufriedenstellend. Eine andere Kollegin, die schon in Indien gelebt hat, meinte, es schmecke sehr authentisch.
Fazit: Hier werden wir vom Büro aus öfter bestellen. Und auch ohne Kollegen wird das Curry King auf jeden Fall auf meiner Lieferdienste-​Liste ganz weit oben geführt.
Was fehlt noch zum fünften Stern? Schwankungen im Schärfegrad sind ok, aber nicht so sehr, dass man dann doch eher das Gefühl hat, bei «mittelscharf» würde einem die Kehle weggeätzt (ist aber sicherlich auch ein wenig subjektiv). Das Preis-​Leistungsverhältnis könnte noch ein klitzekleines Bisschen besser sein. Auch gibt es bei einer Gesamtsumme von über 50 Euro inkl. Trinkgeld bei anderen Lieferdiensten noch 1 – 2 Flaschen Cola oder dergleichen. Hier wären 1 – 2 Mango-​Lassi oder ein bisschen Brot natürlich die Krönung gewesen. Ansonsten, weiter so!

Gut gewürztes Essen, freundliche Bedienung, passabler Wein, moderate Preise, gemütlicher Gastraum und kleiner (etwas lärmbelasteter) Biergarten.

Wir waren mit allem sehr zufrieden und werden auf alle Fälle immer gerne wieder hingehen!
Bedienung
Sehr zuvorkommende und wirklich sehr aufmerksame Bedienung, haben beide immer geschaut, ob es für sie etwas zu tun gab, erklärten geduldig, gaben hilfreiche Empfehlungen, man fühlt sich dort einfach gut aufgehoben.
Das Essen
Wir hatten beide Lamm, nur unterschiedlich zubereitet. Es war beides SEHR lecker!
Das Ambiente
Alles ist immer Geschmackssache. Wer es kalt-​steril mag, für den ist es sicher nichts. Aber hey, wir sind hier ja auch in einem indischen Lokal. Wir fanden es sehr gemütlich, auch von den Lichtverhältnissen her.
Sauberkeit
Nichts zu beanstanden!

Wir haben uns hier was zum Mitnehmen bestellt.
Es gab einmal das Lamm-​Curry (9,90 Euro) und das Mango Chicken (8,50 Euro).
Wir waren beide sehr zufrieden mit Zubereitung und Geschmack.
Das Curry King hat zwar einen furchtbaren Namen (es gibt das Restaurant schon länger als den grässlichen Snack aus der Kühltruhe), bietet aber authentische indische Küche zu einem guten Preis-​/​Leistungs-​Verhältnis.
Der Laden sieht sehr gemütlich aus und die Service-​Kräfte waren sehr nett — auch wenn wir nur sehr kurz da waren. Es gab sogar einen Mango-​Lassi aufs Haus während der Wartezeit.
Empfehlenswert, wir kommen sicher wieder um mal dort zu essen!

With a name like Curry King, you would think that you would walk into a small, take-​out restaurant that serves up sloppy kebabs or quick curry. You may see a rat or two in the process. You may slip on a greasy floor in the process.
Don’t judge a book by its cover. Or in this case, its awful name.
The restaurant is quite extravagant looking on the inside and is a perfect place for a date, or a small group party. The food is also something worth bragging about.
While the menu items are still the typical westernized dishes, they are done to perfection.
I ordered a Channa Masala and it came spicy, flavorful, and very robust in taste. I was highly impressed with the quality, service, and atmosphere of the place. If around the area and looking or good Indian– Curry King is definitely worth checking out!

Ich war mittlerweile schon oft im Curry King und habe die halbe Karte hoch und runter gegessen. Netter Chef, tolles Essen und wie ich finde faire Preise. Es stimmt, die Karte ist riesig, aber so findet sicher jeder was für seinen Geschmack, es werden auch vegane Gerichte angeboten.

Ich bin regelmäßig dort, da man dort gute indische Küche zu fairen Preisen bekommt. Die Auswahl ist riesig, allerdings berät einen das Personal sehr gut und trifft immer den Geschmack. Die Einrichtung ist indisch und das Flair ebenfalls. Sehr zu empfehlen sind die Mangolassis und die Vorspeisen. Auch der hausgemachte, gegrillte Frischkäse ist vorzüglich. Man kann sich das Essen auch liefern lassen. Das Personal ist freundlich und zuvorkommend. Zum Abschied gibt es noch einen Mangolikör und damit endet ein wirklich schmackhaftes (Abend)Essen.

Allgemein
Wunderbar, indisches Essen. Lecker und reichlich. Wir hatten eine leckere Vorspeisenplatte und verschiedene Hühnchen und Gemüsegerichte. Alles war sehr lecker. Auch die Beilagen wie z.B. Kartoffel in Currysoße wAren klasse. Vorweg hatte ich ein frisches Mango Lassie. Wir werden sicher wiederkommen
Bedienung
Sehr netter, freundlicher Empfang. Bedienung war sehr aufmerksam.
Das Essen
Essen war sehr lecker und reichlich. Hatten Vor und Hauptspeise.

Zwei Versuche, unterschiedliches Resultat. Wir waren schon mal direkt nach der Neueröffnung da. Damals konnte die weibliche Bedienung den Gästen am Nachbartisch nicht erklären, welches Gemüse sich bei der Vorspeise: frittiertes Gemüse befände (Küche fragen?) und auch bei einer weiteren Frage musste sie passen. Ferner wartete ich nicht nur 70 Minuten auf die Hauptspeise, dann wurde mir auch noch eine 2.- EUR teurere berechnet. Wie ich natürlich erst Zuhause feststellte. Aber jeder hat ja eine 2. Chance verdient: Also waren wir nochmal am WE da, denn dann sollte es, laut Aushang, Buffet geben. Begrüßt wurden wir sehr freundlich und suchten uns einen freien Tisch. Das Buffet zu 14,50 EUR bestand (ich wollte endlich mal alles probieren) aus genau 4 warmen Speisen (einmal Gemüse, die anderen 3 mit Soße und ohne Aufschrift nicht zu identifizieren) plus Samosas und Papadam. Das war uns zu wenig, so dass wir à la Carte bestellten. Vorweg gabs Papadam, das leider erst zusammen mit der Vorspeise serviert wurde: Onion Rings zu 5,40 EUR. Der Merlot zu 3,50 EUR übrigens sehr lecker. Als Hauptspeise hatte ich Tandoori Chicken, eine unglaublich große Portion und wirklich gut. Auch Sonderwünsche wie statt Naan bitte Roti wurden freundlich und ohne Aufpreis erfüllt. Auch das Lamm meiner Begleitung war sehr lecker. Kurz, endlich mal ein Inder in der Nähe zu fairen Preisen. Übrigens, wem das Indigo in der Taunusstraße ein Begriff ist: Die Karte ist fast identisch, inclusive der Preise.
