Back in the U.S. (where I’m from), Aldi is the lone, mainstream discount market, which makes it a novelty. Here in Germany, discount markets a dime-​a-​dozen, so I have to review this Penny in its context.
This store is nothing special. It’s a bit dingy-​looking, and they don’t honor all the prices listed in the Penny weekly circular, which was disappointing for me. Still, given its proximity to the Tannenbusch Süd U-​Bahn station, I can’t exactly complain.
