Vapiano

İmmer wieder bin ich hier gerne, Qualitaet und Service ist. Zwar hat man zu Stoßzeiten, etwas laenger zu warten. Aber man kann den Abend dort sehr nett ausklingen lassen.

An einem Sonntag Nachmittag in Vapiano am Potsdamer Platz: Wer zuviel Zeit hat und mal locker 20 Minuten in der Pasta Schlange stehen möcjte, kann es ja machen — ICH habe heute meine Lektion gelernt !! und mir due Füße in den LEEREN BAUCH gestanden ;-((
Was brimgt es, hier 2 € pro Gericht zu dparen, wenn man _​ewig_​warten muss?

Eigentlich mag ich Vapiano sogar. Man bekommt hier immer einen Mädchen-​Salat. Aber diese Filiale in Berlin war nicht gut. Der Salat war viel zu kalt. Die Tische wurden nicht abgeräumt, man musste nach Personal suchen, damit jemand den Tisch sauber macht. Jedes Mal wenn die Tür aufging, zog es richtig. Kein besonders schönes Erlebnis.

Extremely fresh pasta made in front of your eyes, great ambiance. Was delicious, and great options for vegetarians. If I am in Berlin again, will surely do to this place.

Very healthy food compared to U. S pizza, pasta. Concept of the purshase is unique and is part of the experience, when you walk in you are handed a card and then go to the food preparation station and order your food, then put your card to charge the amount pf the food in there, then after your done walk to the check out and they scan your card and pay. Top Lage, relativ voll, gute Sitzplätze und leckeres Essen!
Der Laden ist etwas klein und eng, aber wenn mal erstmal sitzt ist alles ok.

Seriously, don’t come here if you don’t want to dine in a totally overcrowded facility which is not capable of handling the massive flow of people. Food is fine just like in other Vapiano restaurants.

I ordered pasta with meat sauce (ragu) and it tasted pretty good. But later I felt quite sick. My boyfriend ordered a pizza, but after 25 minutes of waiting for it, we left. The portions seemed standard in size and the prices were ok but considering there is basically no service, maybe a bit too high. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend the place. Both for the waiting times and for the questionably poor quality of food.

Im Vergleich zu anderen Filialen ist dieser Vapiano leider nicht zu empfehlen.
Wer es mag, lange auf sein Essen zu warten und in Bahnhofsatmosphäre zu essen, ist hier richtig aufgehoben.

Ich kann mich dem Axel nur anschließen. Zudem stellt sich mir die Frage, was es nützen soll, wenn die Zutaten zwar frisch sind, es jedoch an der Art der Zubereitung hapert.
Als ich mir dort zuletzt genervt die Beine in den Bauch stand und den Performern hinter der Theke zusah, kam leider kein Appetit in mir auf. Es geht recht laut und hektisch hinter der langen Theke zu.
Das Putenfleisch wurde aus einer schmierigen Tüte herausgequetscht und dann schlicht tot gebraten. Zwar frisch und locker zubereitet, jedoch zäh und trocken wie Leder. Unter dem Tisch lagen Salatreste und gefallene Fleischstückchen. Ich musste erst darum bitten, unter dem Tisch zu wischen, sowie Sitzbank und Tisch zu reinigen. Der Restaurantleiter oder wie auch immer diese wichtige Position dort bezeichnet wird, stolzierte wie ein Gockel in akuter Paarungszeit hin und her und trug dabei die Nase so hoch, dass er den vollgesauten Boden einfach nicht wahrnehmen konnte.
Interessanterweise besteht das Problem auch in anderen Filialen der Kette. So ähnlich hatte ich es auch in Hannover erlebt. Schön gestaltetes Ambiente auf den ersten Blick und ein ansprechendes Konzept an sich. Leider enttäuschend in der Umsetzung und sogar ärgerlich im Detail.
Ehrliches Fazit der Gruppe an dem Abend: «Zum Vapiano gehen wir erstmal nicht wieder!»

This was the worst experience I had in Berlin… We found the place on our way to Brandenburger Tor and thought it look interesting. The concept is that you get a card by the entrance and with that you pay for your food. You wait in lines with diffrent stations like «risotto» «pasta» or «pizza» and they make it fresh. All this is fine. BUT the staff is very rude and seems to dislike his job. I took a photo of the food being prepared and then one of the cooks starts to shout at me in German and afterwards in english that this is not allowed and very very bad. I tried to explain that i didn’t take any photo of him and the staff just the food. Bur he dosen’t care. Still yelling at me. I say sorry and that I will delete the photo. I look for a sign about this photorule. But see none. The pasta was ok but the pizza took forever and was mediocher
Eventhough I deleted the photo and said that I was sorry his was still pissed OFF and angry. Sorry but I’m a foodie and places where they treat people like that isn’t worth visiting. I will never go there again.
And sorry there’s no pictures of the food. But didn’t want to risk my life.

Vapiano, die Nudel– und Pastaversion in der Systemgastronomie… Wer war da noch nicht? Ich meine, es schmeckt ja auch lecker!!! Schöné Salatvariation und Pastakreationen gibt es dort. Auch preislich finde ich alles im Rahmen.
Normalerweise schreibe ich auch nicht gerne über solche Ketten, auch wenn ich sie selbst des Öfteren besuche.
Aber zuletzt war ich wirklich genervt.
Das System ist ja so aufgebaut, dass man am Eingang eine Karte bekommt, auf die alle Speisen und Getränke gebucht werden, die man bestellt und beim Verlassen des Restaurants bezahlt man die Rechnung. Zwischendurch besucht man die verschiedenen «Schalter» (also einen für Pasta, einen für Salate, einen für Fleischgerichte, usw.) und bestellt, wonach einem der Appetit ist. Das jeweilige Gericht wird frisch vor den eigenen Augen zubereitet und man nimmt es mit zu seinem Platz…
So spart sich Vapiano das Kellnerpersonal.
Nun war ich am Potsdamer Platz zum Kino verabredet und wir wollten vorher hier essen. Nachdem wir die Karte bekommen haben und bereits ca. 20 Minuten in der Schlange zu Pasta anstanden, vor uns aber immer noch drei andere dran waren, haben wir die Geduld verloren und haben den Laden hungrig verlassen.
Ich finde, dieses System funktioniert nur, wenn es auch genug Schalter und Köche gibt, um den Ansturm der Gäste auch zu bewältigen, die das Restaurant rein raummäßig fassen kann. 30 Minuten in einer Schlange anzustehen, um den ersten Teil seines Essens zu bekommen erscheint äußerst unattraktiv und widerspricht der Idee der Systemgastronomie, was letztendlich nichts anderes als Fast-​Food ist. Nur hier eben ohne «Fast».
Die Sterne bekommt der Laden nur aufgrund früherer guter Erfahrungen, was die Qualität und den Geschmack des Essens angeht… Aber so gut, dass sich dafür 30 Minuten im Stehen warten lohnt, ist es dann doch nicht!
Werde hier eher nicht nochmal hingehen. Sorry!

Would not recommend it to my friends or anyone! We accidentally ran in Vapiano after a concert. The location and the restaurant is nice, but that was all what it offered. Either the service or the food could compliment each other. Service was slow but the food was not worth the wait. The cooks are all young and do not look like they have proper training, especially our pasta «cook». She is very unfriendly, she didn’t smile at all during her service, and when my husband asked what was the drink, she gave him a you-​are-​so-​annoyed, make-​it-​quick-​and-​then-​I-​can-​go-​home look and answered shortly. I very agree with one previous post about one always need to heat the pan first and then start cooking. To make our pasta, she just poured the oil in, and immediately threw in the garlic. Then she threw in the pasta and took it out immediately after 2 seconds without seasoning it. The dish looked boring and dreadful.
I expected something more in a restaurant like that. We will never come back again.

I did not like the food here. The cooks especially the males did not seem to take their job seriously and were not cooking our meals properly. You always need to heat the pan first before throwing in your ingredients but nope; they grabbed a fresh pan and immediately threw in the ingredients (absolutely no sizzle). They also have this automatic drop in and out to cook their pastas. Over time that pool of water will be drenched with starch from cooking so much pasta and you can easily taste it which I did. The pasta was not cooked well and it was very sticky (in a bad way). I wished I could have had the option to cook it myself and it might have tasted better but with not such great ingredients, there’s not much chance to make it taste good but I would have made the pasta tasted better. Would not come here again to eat.

Alles groß, alles laut, alles von der Stange. Wer belanglose Industrierestaurants mag ist hier wohl genau richtig. Hübsch aufgepreist noch als Tourifalle amPotsdamer Platz. Man geht halt hin, wenn man in der MIttagspause nichts Besseres findet. Alles nett, aber kein Chrme oder Stil.

Um es vorweg zu nehmen: Ich mag Vapiano. Das Konzept ist oftmals die letzte Rettung frisches Essen zu bekommen, wenn es einen nach 20h beruflich mal wieder in die tiefste Provinz verschlägt. Dementsprechend bin ich gerne und oft bei Vapiano…
Potsdamer Platz. Abends. Lange Wartezeit, obwohl nur zwei Nasen vor mir waren. Die Tagliatelle mit filetto di manzo präsentierten sich mir als fetter, amorpher Pastaklumpen mit rotem Convenience-​Kunstblut (Tomaten? Es sollten Tomaten sein?!) Und ein paar graue Marshmellows dazwischen. Es soll das Rind sein… Traurig. Der Rotwein, ein norditalienischer Merlot — eine katastrophale Plörre! Bei dem Preis erwarte ich keinen Spitzenwein. Aber einen genießbaren. Beim Dessert (ca. 20:15 Uhr) war fast alles ausverkauft. Death by chocolate gab es einfach nicht mehr. Und das bei einer Kette. Das ist ungefähr so, als wenn Mc Donald plötzlich keinen BigMac mehr hat. Der Filialleiter war freundlich-​ratlos. Aber das Essen erinnerte an Kantine. Zum zehnfachen Preis. Schade. Sehr schade.

Ich hatte ein gekräuseltes menschliches Haar auf meinem Teller. Mein Appetit war danach verflogen.

So yummy! The ordering part is super confusing the first time, but the pasta is fresh and delicious! I love that you can pick your own shape.

Love this place! Very fresh food. Came here frequently before the Berlin Marathon. We ate Caesar salad (very good), Caprese salad (liked when I added salt and pepper), pizza (excellent), pasta dishes were plentiful and filling. Would definitely recommend.

Das war mit Abstand der schlimmste Besuch in einem Vapiano.
Mal davon abgesehen dass das Vapiano absolut überfüllt war. Wir hatten jedoch das super Glück die langsamste Pasta-​Köchin zu bekommen die es gibt! LAURA schläft beim kochen ein. Es war verblüffend das sie beim kochen nicht mit den Kopf in die Pfanne geklatscht ist. Endlich sind wir dran. Doch kein Ton der Begrüßung. Nur ein forderndes anstarren kam von der Köchin.
Nach einer ewig langen Zeit, während an den Ständen rechts und links neben uns die Kunden fleißig bedient wurden, bekamen wir dann unser Essen.
Wir wollten draußen sitzen und gingen dann zielstrebig zur Ausgangstür, da brüllte und ein Mitarbeite an «Erst bezahlen wenn ihr draußen sitzen wollt!» Wir waren ob des schroffen Tons total erschrocken.
Dann schauten wir auf die Schlange an der Kasse und stellten dann laut fest das unser Essen dann wohl kalt sein dürfte bis wir bezahlt haben. Jedoch wurden darauf nicht mehr reagiert, von dem lauten Mitarbeiter.
Es wurde dann schnell eine zweite Kasse aufgemacht an der wir dann Schnell bezahlen durften.
Fazit: Es war das letzte Mal das wir im Vapiano am Potsdamer Platz waren!

Unpleasant bartender, 25 min wait for a pizza on a Sunday night, they were out of soup (the only quick thing), crowded & noisy. Never again when there are way nicer & more pleasant places to eat nearby… like Lindenbrau at Sony Center. Excellent!

Wenn dieser Laden ein Beispiel für italienische Küche liefern soll, dann armes Italien. Schlangen bis sonst wohin, Wartezeiten und dann kommt das Essen…
Schlecht gewürzt, Pizza angebrannt, Nudeln weich, Getränke schal… es gibt so wunderbare Italiener in dieser Stadt, da kann man diesen Laden wirklich getrost vergessen..

Omg! Food is simply delicious!!! we ordered pasta with shrimp and chicken… no words to describe … Simply superb… best Italian food I ever ate… tiramisu was good too. I will highly recommend this cute little Italian restaurant. A must try for all :)

Ich bin sehr gerne dort, das Essen ist sehr gut und die Bedienung bzw. die Köche mit denen man ein paar Worte wechseln kann, während sie deine Pasta zubereiten, sind nett.
Das Ambiente ist sehr schön, bloß wären da nicht rund um die Uhr die halbe Welt zum Essen da.
Das trägt natürlich auch zur Lautstärke bei.
Wer Zeit und etwas Geld hat, sollte mal reinschauen :)

I ate her yesterday to get a quick bite after a long day travelling. The concept is nice: when you get in you receive a order card. This order card stores all your chosen dishes, you can see them make your dishes and when you are finished and leave Vapiano the order card shows the chosen dishes and the price.
It was very crowded so I thought this must be great.
But the food was so bad, too salty, pasta overcooked, some of the ingredients were not fresh. The ingredients they use are cut and created hours before to spare time. You can imagine if you cut a onion in the morning, leave it in the kitchen and look at it in the evening it’s not that fresh anymore. This is what they do with the most of their ingredients.
I had a boring Brushetta, two sliced pieces of ciabatta with some rucola and tomatoes cut in squares. The tomatoes were dry and there was too much salt on it.
The spaghetti of the carbonara was overcooked and had too much salt. Also the taste was weird it had a light sweet coconut flavor.
I have to say the salads looks better than the pasta dishes.

Das Anstehen und Selbstbedienen für qualitativ gutes Essen nervt mich schon ein wenig. Aber dieses Konzept scheint ja weltweit zu funktionieren. So dann…
Dieses Mal das Vapiano am Potsdamer Platz inmitten Berlins. Noch touristischer geht es nun wirklich nicht mehr. Doch bei diesem Beswar es nicht so überfüllt, wie üblich. Also Platz gesucht, gefunden, okkupiert und an der Pizza-​Station angestellt. Ich orderte die Pizza Bruschetta, denn ich hatte sie in geschmacklich sehr guter Erinnerung, als ich sie das letzte Mal im Vapiano am Alexanderplatz aß.
Als Vorspeise gab es ein Carpaccio, welches ich mir N der Antipasti-​Station bestellte. Hier habe ich kaum vier Minuten warten müssen. Das ging flott.
Ab zum Platz, Carpaccio essen und auf die Pizza warten. Das hauchdünn geschnittene Rinderfilet war sehr lecker. Nachdem ich meine Pizza hatte, freute ich mich sehr auf deren Genuss. Doch schon nach dem zweiten Bissen war ich ob des faden Geschmackes enttäuscht.
Mal sehen, ob ich bei der nächsten Gelegenheit eine andere Pizza testen werde.

Vapiano is like a fast food restaurant, but more healthy. I really like how thing work in here, really modern and cool. You can see how they make it and choose what is inside your ordered. It’s completely self-​service though. The system is kinda normal in a big city or a food court. But Vapiano surely made it their own.
Personally, I think they should improve their menu, how thing it works, even I read and know what is it. Sometime just nice to have some photos as references.
This Vapiano isn’t so big, but located in Potsdamer Platz. It is surely convenient, for the people who works here. There many thing around this place, quite a nice place to meet up with friends.
About the food, I always enjoy the pasta Very much, pizza seems also not bad. I think this restaurant they allow costumers to take away their orders. I’m not sure about it, but I saw someone did it. If so, then that’s really cool.
At the end we did have good time there. It’s kinda nice if you just hungry and looking for a nice place for a meal, clean, good atmosphere and the food tasted good.

Food was ok. Had insane long standing lines (as in you are literally standing for about 45 mins!). It was extremely popular almost every night so I can only think Berlin has a shortage of great italian eateries. It was good pasta and pizza (went 2 nights) and perfect location (right next to Ritz Carlton and the metro), staff was friendly but just not enough of them to keep the orders flowing.

Schlechteste Nudelerfahrung meines Lebens. Man steht eine geschlagene Stunde in einer von zahllosen Schlangen, um sich von völlig ineffizienten & von blindem Aktionismus getriebenen Scheinköchen eine kalte Pastapampe servieren zu lassen. Von solcher Unverfrorenheit vollkommen verblüfft steht einem der Mund sperrangelweit auf, in den man dann den aufwändig generierten Fraß zumindest schnell hineinstopfen kann, bevor man sich vor Hunger oder Ekel übergeben muss.
Nie wieder!

Eigentlich bin ich ein Fan von vapiano… Aber hier wurden wir bereits mehrmals von Service und Qualität enttäuscht. Es dauerte mit nur 3 Personen vor mir, 25min bis ich an der Reihe war. Selbst dann dauerte es ewig bis die Zutaten zusammengesucht waren.
Die Organisation fehlte. Meine Spaghetti waren sehr zerfetzt :(
Wie gesagt eigentlich ist vapiano immer vorn dabei für ein schnelles und leckeres Abendessen. Dieses mal aber erneut ein Minus.

I have been here twice over the last year and I was disappointed both times. I used to loooooove Vapiano’s and try to stop by every time Im in Europe. I am a pasta person so I order a pasta dish whenever I come. Now my last two visits here the pasta was completely overcooked and this ruins the whole dish. They have also been overwhelmingly busy and this system is not the greatest for these situations. I believe my pasta has been overcooked the last two times because the cook will take my order and another at the same time and just lets the pasta sit above the steam for far too long. There is also zero service here and the prices are as such at a full service restaurant. Their motto is based on a freshly delicious cooked food and if the food is cooked incorrectly this just goes down the drain guys! Pull it together!

Not bad. Had a calzone, caesar solid and a bottled tea that were solid and cost me
~ 15 euro. Pretty large portions but not sure if I’ll look to eat here again (unless I’m In Basel…). Open late though…

Ich liebe Vapiano, es gibt für mich keine bessere Pizza und ich hab schon wirklich sehr viele ausprobiert.
Jedoch muss ich sagen, der Service ist nicht in allen Filialen gleich.
Leipzig war freundlich, zuvorkommend und 1 A, die Zutaten stimmten, der Salat war genau richtig, es hab Brot dazu und zudem ein Lächeln vom Personal.
Ein paar Tage später hier in Berlin alles andere als das, das Personal kam gar nicht klar, trotz das ich nur allein an der Salatbar war, war der Salat falsch (es fehlten zutaten) und es gab auch kein Brot dazu.
Das Personal war zudem offensichtlich gestresst und genervt.
Daher keine 5 Punkte, denn mal ehrlich, für solch eine Kette, muss der Service 100% stimmig sein.

Nice little restaurant near Potsdamerplatz. Good little cake. Just stopped in by chance while walking. Good service and friendly staff.

This was the worst experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant, and I’ve done a lot of traveling.
My fiancé and I, hungry from exploring Berlin, stumbled upon this place after searching for a few blocks. We thought it would be pretty hard to mess up Italian food, so we just decided to go for it.
I tried to order a pizza with artichokes, mushrooms, olives and shrimp (which would replace the ham on that pizza), but the woman taking my order wrote down the wrong pizza on my order. When my pizza arrived with just mushrooms and shrimp, I informed her of this mistake. She took my card, swiped it, and said «Look, you ordered THIS pizza! That’s what it says on the card!» as if to say «I told you so, I’M right, you’re wrong, so eat your damn pizza!» After a while of this, I gave up and took my pizza, and as I was leaving, she slapped her hands together a few times the way that someone might do if they wanted to clean their hands, and I just felt so dismissed and unheard.
After all this, I didn’t want my pizza, but I ate it anyway, and let me tell you, it was terrible. The crust was soggy, thin, and undercooked. The sauce had a very basic, uninspired flavor. There was hardly any cheese. It was so disappointing. Definitely not worth the 8.25 euro.
When I had finished and it was time to pay, I spoke to the woman (a different woman) who would be processing my payment. I told her what had happened, and she just kept looking at me with an innocent yet condescending look on her face, and when I said «I asked for this pizza, but she gave me a different one», this woman just responded with «Yes, you ordered a pizza! Here, it says on your bill, it says you ordered a pizza!» She had ABSOLUTELY no idea what I was saying, and it was SO frustrating!!! I have never been to a place where the staff is so uncaring and unresponsive to the customer, and I have never felt so mistreated. I will never go back again.

This is the nicest Vapiano branch in Berlin, unfortunately it is almost always packed and the lines for the pasta section are too long. I wish they would fix that.
However, the salad and pizza are really really good, and their lines move fast. The pasta is also good but they add too much onions for my liking, so I order mine without onions. I recommend the pesto rosso pasta.

Wenn man abends über den Potsdamer Platz geht, auf der Suche nach gutem aber nicht zu aufwändigem Essen, wird man hier auch zu später Stunde fündig.
In guter Qualität bekommt man hier Pasta und Pizza, auch wenn es sich um Systemgastronomie handelt, hier geht man auf die Wünsche seiner Gäste ein.
Top: die langen Öffnungszeiten.

I think their food is delicious. Was in the area and haven’t been here in a long time. Whenever I go there its kinda stressful at first but once you ordered your food and sit down with your beeper or salad, its the nicest atmosphere. Different kinds of fresh herbs, different oils, balsamic vinegar, salt, pepper are on every table. I love that!!!
And then it gets a lil stressful again once you’re paying for you food at the end.
The food is fresh and delicious but still a lil pricey.

22.03.2016 Leider enttäuscht von der Zubereitung der Speisen hier. Ob Pizza (zu lasch und leicht verbrannt) oder Pasta (gewünscht war leichte Schärfe bekommen habe ich 2 ganze Chillischoten während ich eine Nachspeise geholt habe erst im Nachhinein festgestellt). Mag sein dass das Personal einfach überfordert ist beste Lage, viele hungrige Menschen etc. Aber ganz ehrlich trotz der schlechten Laune des Personals oder der Lustlosigkeit etc. sollte das Essen nicht drunter leiden und erst recht nicht die Besucher. Bin einfach andere Qualität gewöhnt von anderen Vapiano-​Locations.

Das Konzept überzeugt euns schon des öfteren in anderen Städten. Hier waren allerdings die Wartezeiten überdurchschnittlich lange un ddas obwohl wir außerhalb einer typischen Stoßzeit kamen.
Essen war wie aus anderen Vapianos gewohnt gut.
