Dresdenerstr. always offers a new gem to me. Since it doesn’t quite follow the East-West or North-South street layout, I don’t often traverse it without already have a specific place in mind. Nano Kaffee is a coffee house gem. It has a minimalist style that is common in third wave cafes in Berlin. There is seating for ~six inside and additional seating outside. They offer espresso + milk drinks(what I looked for specifically), as well as cookies and brownies. I enjoyed my mittelgroßer coffee but the three things that stood out to me during my visit were being able to pay by card, the serveware, and the brownie. I was just short of 20 cents as I went up to order and I was going to have to choose between a coffee or a brownie. Luckily, I saw the customer before me pay with her bankcard. No choosing today! After ordering my two treats, the employee?/owner? prepared my brownie and coffee tray. As an American who grew up on fast food, I have a certain affinity for plastic trays. *see uploaded picture* I took a seat outside in the sun and received my tray about a minute later. The brownie was soft but not fudgy. Yesss! It also had flakes of salt and I believe tiny walnut pieces. I’ll definitely be coming back to Nano Kaffee when I want a coffee to get a little bit further away from my office. I can’t wait until they have beer on tap again, as seen on their instagram account.
