Lecker Song

So so so good. Loved the wonton soup and the rice wrapper pork dumplings! The perfect place for a quiet, low-​key, delicious meal.

Lecker Song wird von mir immer wieder gerne besucht. Der winzige Laden wirkt anfangs etwas gedrungen, jedoch angenehm authentisch.
Die Bedienung ist immer angenehm freundlich versorgt einen prompt mit einem kühlen Tsingtao.
Geschmacklich sind die kleinen Vorspeisen sowie die Dim Sums wirklich gut.
Besonders empfehlen kann ich die Bohnen mit Senfblättern und Ingwer sowie die vegetarischen Täschchen mit Kürbis.
Auch die mit Schweinefleisch gefüllten Dim Sums sind sehr gut.
Natürlich bestechen nicht alle Kreationen und manche sind geschmacklich ein wenig neutral.
Auch die Süßspeisen überzeugen mich nicht ganz, jedoch verzeihe ich das der Asiatischen Küche im allgemeinen.
Alles in allem ist das Essen wirklich lecker und auch der Preis bohrt einem kein Loch ins Portmonee.

The menu is quite limited to just a set of soups and dumplings, vegetarian and normal but each one of them is really tasty and worths it!
For 4 – 5 euros you could get 4 – 5 dumplings, delicious and freshly cooked.
The place is comfy, quite small and the service is ok.

Dumplings sehr lecker! Wirklich zu empfehlen. Die Bedienung war sehr höflich. Das Restaurant an sich ist leider etwas klein, da ich recht groß bin war das etwas anstrengend.

So müssen Dumplings sein! Stellt euch den Tisch voll mit allem was ihr gern habt und dann futtert euch durch! Dazu vielleicht einen echten chinesischen Tee (z.B. Oolong) um die Verdauung anzuregen ;) Ich habe mich hier jedenfalls pudelwohl gefühlt.

Es gibt manchmal gelüsten denen muss man nachgeben und Dim Sum gehört ganz oben auf diese Stelle. Ich Liebe Dim Sum und wenn man so unverhofft durch die Seitenstraßen schlendert und diesen Laden entdeckt, wird man Augen machen, was für eine tolle Perle sich hinter dieser Fassade versteckt.
Das Lecker Song hat nicht viele Plätze (wir hatten Glück und konnten an diesem lauen Sommerabend von drinnen nach draußen wechseln, auch wenn es im Laden recht angenehm und ruhig ist) und man sollte vorher reservieren (man man uns gesagt) doch wir hatten unseren Platz bekommen und hungrig wie wir waren, einmal durch die kleine Karte gegessen.
Die Bedienung war sehr zuvorkommend und half uns bei all unseren Fragen, Auswahl und lies sich auch nicht von unserer Bestelllaune (ich glaube wir haben 4 mal die Karte kommen lassen und immer wieder was anderes probiert, getrunken und schmackofatzt ;-)) aus der Ruhe bringen, auch wenn sie nicht verstand, wie wir die leckeren Dumplings in dieser großen Zahl imer wieder aufs neue mit zufriedenen Gesichtern in uns hinein schlangen.

I love dim sum– it’s my absolute favorite. This place was absolutely delicious, and they have some very unusual kinds. They have an entire selection of vegan/​vegetarian dumplings, really adorable dessert buns, and unusual and flavorful sides.
The place is pretty small, but it has a nice homey atmosphere. I’d recommend arriving before the peak dinner hours, or making a reservation. However, if they don’t have any open tables, they also take your number and give you a call when one opens up, so you can explore the Prenzlauer Berg neighborhood in the meantime.

Probably the best dim sum in PBerg — service is very attentive and kind.

Sehr leckeres Essen und ein super freundlicher Service. Etwas mehr Auswahl an Hähnchen oder sonstiger Schweinefleisch Alternative wäre toll! Ansonsten kleiner und freundlicher laden. Wir kommen gerne nochmal her.

Lecker Song stach mir schon lange ins Auge, also reservierte ich einen Tisch und begab mich in die Hände der sympathischen Dim Sum Künstler.
Vorab gabs nen Algensalat der sehr erfrischend und wunderbar abgeschmeckt war. Noch Kimchi, das ich irgendwie überall gerne probiere, auch hier war es gut, nur ein bisschen wässrig. Als Zwischengang gabs die Wan Tan Suppe, die lecker war aber mir noch von der Brühe her zu lasch abgeschmeckt wurde, jedoch die Wan Tans als Einlage wunderbar.
So probierten wir uns durch die verschiedenen Dim Sums, die ein bisschen brauchen da sie frisch hergestellt werden, und da bringt man ja gerne Zeit mit. Zum empfehlen sind diese Teigtaschen auf jeden Fall mit Schwein, diese passen perfekt zu den verschiedenen Dips. Die vegetarischen sind auch sehr durchdacht, würde aber behaupten das diese nicht alle auf Zuspruch kommen, da manche sehr süß (wie auch in der Speisekarte angegeben) abgeschmeckt sind. Nicht gefallen haben mir diese mit Garnelen, da mir die Produktauswahl dieser Meeresbewohner nicht gerecht geworden ist, da diese sehr plump fischig schmeckten. Doch die Dessert Kreation der Dumplings ist gelungen und schmeckte vorzüglich.
Auf jeden Fall ist Lecker Song die günstigere Alternative Dumplings zu verköstigen, jedoch ausgefeilter bekommt man diese in einem anderen Laden.
Sich mit Dim Sums bis zum Anschlag vollfüllen ohne auf den Geldbeutel zu achten geht hier besonders gut, also muss man mal gemacht haben =)

Kleiner Laden mit familiärem Flair. Alle Dumplings sind sehr zu empfehlen! Es gibt eine große Auswahl an vegetarischen aber auch Fleisch Dumplings. Man sollte jedoch etwas Geduld mitbringen wenn man bestellt. Am besten auch einen Tisch reservieren da nicht so viel Platz ist. Das gute: das Restaurant bietet auch einen Lieferservice an, habe ich aber noch nicht getestet. Werde bestimmt nochmal dort Essen.

Pas franchement époustouflée par cet endroit.
Je m’attendais vraiment a quelque chose de spécial, je pensais trouver des raviolis différent de ce que j’ai pu gouter jusqu’à présent, ou à retrouver des saveurs asiatiques dont j’aurais pu faire l’experience en Asie. mais très franchement, pas tant que ça.
J’ai pris deux sortes de raviolis, une des deux est celle que je prend souvent dans les restaurants chinois (ceux avec le tour jaune), se sont mes préférés et je m’attendais du coup, le restaurant étant spécialisé la dedans, à ce qu’ils soient un niveau au dessus, au final je les ai trouvé moins bon, un peu trop «viandeux» a mon gout et pas assez de saveur. Avec ça j’ai pris ceux sur lesquels sont posé trois petits bouts de légumes, ceux la en revanche étaient plutôt bon.
J’aurais vraiment aimé pouvoir testé d’autres sortes, mais ce restaurant est clairement destiné aux personnes qui viennent à plusieurs, et à aucun moment on né vous propose de demi portions (les portions étant toutes par 4 ou 5 sauf pour les desserts assez gros qui sont par 2), ce qui né permet pas de déguster beaucoup de sortes si jamais vous êtes seules.
En plus de ça, lorsque je suis arrivée il né restait qu’une petite table de quatre, on m’a donc mis à cette table, 10 minutes après est arrivé un couple qu’on a mis a la même table que moi, c’est une pratique assez courante à Berlin et généralement ca né me dérange pas, mais là, les tables étant minuscules on était vraiment les uns sur les autres et j’ai échangé plusieurs coups de coudes gênés avec la dame a côté de moi. En plus une personne seule à côté d’un couple sortis diner en amoureux… j’avais vraiment l’impression de tenir la chandelle, c’était probablement un des repas les plus gênants que j’ai pu passer de ma vie.
J’y repasserais probablement un jour, mais accompagnée cette fois, parce que toute seule ca né vaut pas trop le coup.

In a word — best dim sum I have ever had in my life, even better than in China!
Longer version (for the brave) — hands down, best dim sum I’ve had so far.
We’ve arrived here for dinner before it got really crowded, so if you plan on coming here after 20:00– reserve a table, the place is pretty small.
Once we’ve opened the menu we were thinking «ok, so what do we not order?!»
As my friend is vegetarian, we had about 9 options to choose from if you exclude the ones with chicken/​pork/​seafood.
Which is quite a lot!
So we’ve settled on four, all vegetarian.
The one who took our order asked if we’re vegan or vegetarian, we said no but didn’t really understood why — until he put complimentary prawn crackers on the table, super nice and highly considerate!
For a starter we had a soup that was kind of tasteless until we added some soy into it, but as the dim sum arrived we forget about it.
9 — kakao traum, absolute best! If we weren’t full after all the food we’d totally order one more round of those, perfect flavor, perfect serving.
The others we’ve taken were also really good, but this was really something else.
From our point of view this is a place you can’t really go wrong.
There’s no good and bad, just tasty and tastier!

Wir waren da zur Mittagszeit da, da uns der Laden von einem Berliner empfohlen wurde. Es hat uns sehr geschmeckt. Es ist ein kleiner Laden mit Sitzplätzen für ca. 30 Personen (mehr nicht) würde ich sagen. Die Dumplings haben auch gut geschmackt. Die Desserts sahen super niedlich aus. Wir hatten von jeder Sorte eins bestellt. Würde auf jeden Fall nochmal dahin.

Excellent handmade dumplings and fast service. The dumplings didn’t feel greasy to eat and everything feels authentic. The price is not cheap (we each paid 10 euros per head for lunch) and we’re still hungry. You pay around 4 – 5 euros per dumpling order (usually 4 or 5 pieces). But very authentic experience.

Nun hatte ich schon oft dumplings beim chinesen gegessen. Niedlich waren sie ja angerichtet und einige Zutaten hatte ich auch noch nicht in einem dumpling, wie zum Beispiel Schokofüllung, oder Kürbisfüllung. Ich fand es schon interessant, doch nicht wirklich umwerfend. Irgendetwas hat gefehlt, es war einfach zu fade. Man kann hier übrigens nicht mit Karte zahlen, sonder hier wird nur bares akzeptiert, leider steht das nur auf einem Zettel an der Tür, die offen war. Wäre nett wenn es auch irgendwo in der Speisekarte erwäht wäre. Wenn die dumplings in den Bambuskörben ankommt, ist erst einmal der ganze Tisch nass. Bedienung war nett und hilfsbereit.

süsses winziges restaurant in einem superschönen kiez mit allgemein vielen bars und restaurants. das ambiete ist ok bzw. ein bisschen besser als beinem anderen asiaten. die teigtaschen sind jedoch super! es gibt sie in allen farben und variationen… habe noch nie so viele teigtaschen auf einmal kosten können. die bedienung ist nett und effizient und es gibt auch ein paar tischchen zum draussen sitzen:)
wir waren zu zweit und hungrig und haben inkl einem tee und ca 30 teigtäschchen 35 € bezahlt:)

Here I go, adding my five stars to the constellation of raves. This place is a MUST whether you’re veg or not. My boyfriend and I, vegetarians from DC, went there on our last night in Berlin and would have gone back every night if we’d had more time. Prenzlauer is a cool neighborhood, and this place is a gem. Decorated in a quirky, colorful style, it features astonishingly good dumplings and a cucumber salad you’ll taste in your dreams. Everything is prepared with care and an eye toward color and texture, and the staff are friendly. The only possible improvement would be an array of specially prepared dipping sauces for the dumplings. The chili-​infused oil simply isn’t flavorful or distinctive enough for the venue. The sauce coating the cucumber salad, however, is a delight. This place is well worth going out of your way for.

Die Dumplings schmecken super, das Kimchi hat für mich genau die richtige Schärfe, der Service ist supernett, man kann draußen sitzen — was will man mehr? Da der Laden sehr klein ist sollte man allerdings am besten reservieren

A fantastic place for vegetarians. A whole page full of veg dumplings and I also recommend the spicy cucumber salad. People says it’s busy so consider going a Wednesday night. It’s an easy tram ride from Mitte and a good excuse for checking out Prenzlauer.

Sehr nett, sehr lecker, schöné Ambiente, leckere Dumplings, gute Bedienung. Was braucht man mehr? (Ah! Gute Preise auch). Gerne wieder.

Grand coup de coeur pour restaurant: Petit par la taille mais grand par sa qualité et son accueil chaleureux !
En grande fanatique des Dim Sum, j’ai testé ce lieu recommandé par la communauté Unilocal dès mon premier jour à Berlin. Et une fois de plus, je né fus pas déçu par les avis pointus des Unilocaleurs.
Il y a un immense choix dans les saveurs et les textures. J’ai adoré le dim sum au potiron ! Et Mr et Ms Bear, 2 jolies brioches fourrées au chocolat (BIO SVP) étaient divins.
Les tarifs restent très abordables au vu de la qualité (environ 4.50 € pour ⁴⁄₅ dim sum).
Les wursts et autres bretzels n’ont qu’à bien se tenir ! Le lecker song est LE lieu a tester à Berlin si vous êtes comme moi, un mordu de la cuisine asiatique :)
Ah et j’oubliais, si vous né maitrisez pas la langue de Goethe, les serveuses parlent très bien anglais et les cartes sont bilingues (comme partout à Berlin d’ailleurs).

Oh my goodness — AMAZING DUMPLING AND GREAT SERVICE!
Came her around 5 a couple days ago expecting to wait for a table (based on the other Unilocal reviews) but we were quickly seated and given cushions and a nice table spread to make sitting outside more comfortable. The waiter and waitress were very sweet and attentive and our food came out in a timely manner! The prawn crackers they serve before your meal are delightful.
The dumplings were delicious and ask for the sweet chili sauce! It’s really nice with the shrimp dumplings. The green tea is served in a nice porcelain detailed painted tea pot with adorable little cups.
And every dumpling plate is € 4.90… What could be better!
Wasn’t a huge fan of the dessert chocolate bear dumplings but it was good to try. Can’t wait to go back!

Kurz und knapp: Sehr schmackhafte und aromatisch vielfältige DimSum.
Eine Portion (4 – 5 Stück) kostet ca. 4 €.
Wer also ein wenig snacken will, der ist hier super aufgehoben. Satt wird man erst nach 2 – 3 Portionen.
Bedienung sehr nett, jedoch wenige Sitzmöglichkeiten. Für eine große Runde mit Freunden daher nicht geeignet.

der name ist programm. ziemlich lecker, warum song weiß ich nicht. aber ich gehe wieder hin, v1 und v9 gebraten hatte ich schon gestern und denke noch heute dran. hat zwar fast 35 minuten gedauert, aber wir waren auch zu 6. die beiden hinter dem tresen sind sehr nett im original bejing foolings. gerne wieder

Ein würdiger Besuch für meinen 200sten Beitrag, bei dem ich guten Gewissens 5 Sterne vergebe. Klein, versteckt und bund eingerichtet: das ist das Lecker Song. Wobei «Lecker» hier nicht gelogen ist. Gedämpfte Knödel mit allerlei Füllungen, die es einem schwer machen, sich zu entscheiden. Die Wan Tan Suppe war zwar etwas schwach gewürzt, aber dafür konnten es die Knödel raushauen. Denn deren Füllung war frisch, gut abgestimmt und seinen Preis wert.
Getopt wurde das Essen von einem freundlichen Service.

Ein wirklicher Gaumengenuß! Sehr leckere, frisch zubereitete Chinesische Teigtaschen mit schmackhaften Zutaten, serviert von freundlichen Menschen in angenehmer, gemütlicher Atmosphäre. Für mich sicher nicht der letzte Besuch! Klasse!

Hab es schon als Tipp abgegeben, sehr gemütliches kleines Restaurant mit sehr netter Bedienung. Das Essen war der Hammer und wir kommen sehr gerne wieder ;)

Liebevoller Service. Jedes Dumpling für sich ist ein Kunstwerk und schmeckt großartig. Hier gehe ich sehr gern hin. Auch preislich völlig angemessen.

This is place is truly amazing. The dim sum is incredible and the staff is very friendly. We had some seaweed salad that was quite delicious. Even the sweet dim sum for dessert were quite good. I plan on coming back very very soon. I highly recommend this place. I suggest making a reservation though, it fills up quickly and while the food comes quickly, people don’t eat thaat quickly, so you might have to wait.

This place is awesome. We tried different types of dumplings, including sweet ones for dessert. We did not regret a single one. I recommend making a reservation as the place has ⁵⁄₆ small tables and fills up quickly. I also recommend eating something before as you will need a ton of dumplings to make a whole meal, and while the portion costs between ⁴⁄₆ €, it adds up. Kudos to the homemade shrimp chips you get as a free starter and very friendly staff. I will be coming back soon.

Das Lecker Song in Prenzlauer Berg gehört endlich zu den Neuzugängen meiner Berliner Restaurantliste — bisher war ich hier noch nicht. Dim Sum-​Läden gibt es in Berlin ja mittlerweile einige, besonders in Szenekiezen wie Prenzlauer Berg und Mitte — aber das heißt ja noch lange nicht, dass es dort nicht authentische und leckere Speisen gibt :) In diesem Punkt enttäuscht das Lecker Song in keinem Fall!

We already ate at Lecker Song a lot of times since this little restaurant with just a few tables opened .
It’s always very good, always very fresh. Everything is homemade, original and tasty.
You’re always warmly welcome, both the owner and the staff are very friendly.
A good place, to recommend.

This little and tiny restaurant is hidden just behind Helmholtzplatz. The first time I tried to find it I almost passed it. Once you enter you are being welcomed by the friendly owner who offers you one of the very few buy cozy tables. They have various dumplings with many different fillings and tastes. I always just order a few and then more along the way. In that way you can spend a good and relaxed time with friends here. Food tastes solid but there is still a bit room for improvement. It’s pretty pricey as well but overall better than all the places along Kantstrasse. Certainly worth a try. But rather don’t come in large groups.

Ich hatte im Lecker Song einen wunderbaren Abend. Das Essen war köstlich, die Bedienung sehr freundlich und die anderen Gäste waren angenehm und hilfsbereit.

If you are looking for a dumpling fix in Berlin, then look no further! There’s no need to go to Ming’s or Kantstraße! Lecker Song was everything I had hoped for in decent authentic Chinese dumplings. A tiny place, tucked away on Schliemannstraße, I am glad I found this place and finally got to try it out. There’s a large selection of meat and vegetarian dumplings. The meat ones consist mostly of classics such as Har Gau, Shu Mai, Xiao Long Bao and Wo Tie (pot stickers). The vegetarian ones, however, had more creative flavours. Being ravenous on a Friday night, we ordered a massive selection, including the vegetarian curried pumpkin dumplings. These were mouth wateringly more-​ish and tasty, having a samosa-​like flavour to them. A completely unexpected hit. Would definitely recommend trying that one out. The Har Gau were also one of our favourites that night. Now this dumpling is a Dim Sum classic. Simply put, it’s a prawn and bamboo shoot dumpling with «crystal» translucent skin made of rice flour. I’ve had many a Har Gau in my time and it is easy to get wrong. Often the skin is too heavy, cloying and just a nuisance to eat with chopsticks! For this dumpling, it is all about the texture of the filling. The prawn filling should be «crunchy», with bite to it. Some restaurants will put too much cornflour and other ingredients in it to thin it out. For me, Lecker Song got it right on both counts. A must try when you order! Will definitely be returning and ordering everything on the menu! ;)

Wonderful dim sum. TONS of vegan and vegetarian options. I highly recommend the tofu-​shiitake dumplings: wonderfully seasoned, delicately sweet, with meaty tofu. We also had the zucchini-​rice noodle-​morel dumplings and the tofu-​morel-​pea dumplings, which were also delightfully flavorful, hearty, and comforting. The pickled cabbage appetizer was like slightly sweet kimchi and was delicious; the smoked tofu and bell pepper appetizer was also wonderful, with very high-​quality bell peppers, extra-​firm smoky tofu and lots of fresh herbs. We also loved the red-​bean bun dessert. The place is tiny and feels like a mom-​and-​pop restaurant: the atmosphere is cute but not fancy. The waitstaff were helpful and attentive. Best Chinese food I’ve had in Berlin.

I’ve always been a fan of dim sum. It’s like heaven in your mouth. So when an opportunity presented itself to go to this place, I immediately took it. A companion was visiting town, so when we needed to have dinner, I suggested this place and made a reservation.
They don’t have an extensive menu. They have two soup types, a handful of cold salads and other appetizers, about 5 vegetarian dim sum, and about 8 meat-​filled dim sum. But that was enough to bring heaven to the inside of my mouth.
My companion and I each ordered a soup, and I tried the wantan soup, which was delicate in its flavor and presentation. The wantans were floating in warm soupy bliss. It had just the right taste, and was meant more to enjoy and savor, than to simply slurp.
Then my companion and I ordered three different dim sum to share. With perhaps the most expensive order still being under 5 EUR, this wasn’t an expensive meal. Each order have 5 pieces of dim sum, presented inside a steamer, and yes, they provide wooden non-​disposable chopsticks. They also ask you what kind of sauce you want, as they have several choices at your disposal.
Oh, the shao mai, and the shrimp-​filled steamed mini buns, they were all heaven in my mouth. Next time, I’d go down the menu and try the other items.
I’ll definitely be back. This is a great find, and is something that will be on the top of my list for a while. Reservations are recommended, as they are a very small place, with only a few tables inside.

Fantastic service! Nice small area with outdoor seating. Smoked tofu was possibly the best tofu I’ve ever had. The Shao Mai and Fen Guo were awesome as well! For dessert, the Zongsi. I hope to return while I’m here.
