K’ups Gemüsekebap

Mein Freund macht gern ein auf «Döner Experte» und bei ihm ist schon oft ein Döner geschmacklich durchgefallen, der bei mir noch die Schulnote 3 bis 4 bekommen hätte!
Nun hatte er mich auf diesem imbiss aufmerksam gemacht. da schmeckt es ja schließlich fast wie bei Mustafa!
Ja wir wurden nett empfangen und der Döner kam auch schnell und lecker !
Erwähnenswert ist der imbiss an sich auch selbst !
Hier wurden die Tische teilweise selbst gebaut und unter den Glasplatten findet man alte Party Flyer, Konzertkarten und Fotos zum bestaunen.

Das ist ein von mein Lieblingskebabshop. Ich gehe here immer für Mittagessen.

People were always comparing this place to Mustafa’s when they didn’t want to wait in line. I gave it an open minded try and I still think Mustafa’s is superior. I guess this is better if you don’t want to wait. And maybe their meat doener is comparable, but for vegetarian options this isn’t my preference. I wouldn’t go out of my way for it.

While in Berlin, you have to go get a Durum or a Doner. This is a must do while in the city. a MUST. When there recently I had to do one and chose the Gemuse Kebap as I was staying close by. And yes it lives up to its reputation. Ordered the Durum with veggies, sprinkled cheese on top, thin tortilla like bread, yoghurt and garlic sauce, and fries of course. It was tasty, light, big enough for lunch but not too much to feel overwhelmed by the third bite. The place is clean, staff is friendly. You come, sit and get served or order from the counter. Fries were ready in minutes after ordering. Home made ketchup and mayo, and all cost me about 5 euros, YES, 5 euros. God I love Berlin for this. I would go more often if living there. Next time, I will certainly go back to get the doner this time. and do not forget the sprinkled cheese on top. That is a unique feature.

Anfangs wollte ich keinen Beitrag über den Gemüse Kebap schreiben, weil ich so froh war nicht mehr bis zum Mehringdamm fahren zu müssen, um dann eine Stunde zu warten um den besten Döner der Stadt zu bekommen. Mittlerweile haben viele den Imbiss entdeckt und somit ist er kein Geheimnis mehr.
Ich habe den Döner im Frühling 2014 entdeckt und ich war von Anfang an begeistert.
Dort haben zwei ehemalige Mitarbeiter von Mustafas vom Mehringdamm einen eigenen Döner-​Laden eröffnet, weil — so sagte mir der eine — sie keine Lust mehr auf lange Schlangen vor einem engen und viel zu kleinen Imbisswagen hatten.
Es wird ein Döner im Fladenbrot und als Dürüm mit fritiertem Gemüse entweder mit Geflügelfleisch oder vegetarisch angeboten, der für mich der beste der Stadt ist. Es gibt standardmäßig 3 verschiedene Soßen und für die richtige Würze gibt es dann noch einen Spritzer Zitrone und das Spezialgewürz.
Als Beilage gibt es Pommes, die aber nur frisch gut schmecken. Es gibt dem Stadtteil entsprechend verschiedene «Hipster”-Getränke.
Es gibt viele Sitzmöglichkeiten für einzelne, zwei oder mehrere Personen innen und auch außen.
Zu Stoßzeiten ist es mittlerweile schon ziemlich voll mit manchmal 20 Minuten Wartezeit. Der Döner ist aber sehr lecker und auf jeden Fall gleichwertig mit Mustafas Kebap.

A consistently stellar durum! The veggie and chicken doners are great, a fellow customer noted «they put a lot of care and attention into it.» Yes indeed… the interior is friendly and welcoming and the staff are pretty much all nice, including a handsome older Turkish man :). Tip these guys, they work hard!

Ich bin extra ein wenig weiter gelaufen, um diesen Gemüse Döner auszuprobieren. Leider bereute ich das schnell. Er war zu klein, das Brot war nicht lecker, das Gemüse bestand hauptsächlich aus Kartoffeln und viel Fleisch war auch nicht drin. Die Soße war auch nicht gut. Ich hatte nach Kräutersoße gefragt, aber entweder hat er mir die falsche gegeben, oder die Soße ist einfach anders als ich sie kenne, denn die war eklig. Wenn man ein bisschen die Schönhauser lang läuft kriegt man den Gemüse Döner beim Dubai Gemüse Döner 10 mal besser und sogar billiger.

I’d love if they portion in the dürüm is bigger though, but otherwise it’s one of my favorite doner places in Berlin.

Truly fantastic. A friend ordered so not sure of all of what ended up in the roll bit together it was amazing. Inexpensive, quick, easy to while walking with a beer in the other hand; cannot be beat for a late night snack.

This place is our absolute favourite! The place is probably one of the cleanest kebab places that we’ve ran into yet. The owners/​family that work there are amazing, personable people. You can really tell that they enjoy what they’re doing.
The food itself, I only take the chicken döner, which is in the tortilla wrap. It comes with delicious rotisserie chicken, oil-​fried vegetables (potatoes, zucchini, and paprikas), sauce (s) of your choice, lettuce, cucumber+tomatoes, fresh sliced onions, sprinkled cheese and they squeeze fresh lemon juice on top.
The prices are a little higher than the usual kebab but it is totally worth it! All under 5 €.
There are indoor seating and outdoor, but they are very limited.
I have nothing to complain about it.

Ich verstehe das Prinzip nicht ganz. Ich habe verstanden, dass ein Gemüsedöner kein Gemüsedöner ist, sondern ein Hähnchendöner. Neben dem Salat gibt es frittiertes «Gemüse», in diesem Fall hier 90% Kartoffel. Es gibt außerdem eine vegetarische Variante, die hat während meines 15minütigen Aufenthalts außer mir aber niemand bestellt. Aus gutem Grund, denn die vegetarischen Zutaten sind allesamt ungewürzt. Die Kräutersoße ist völlig geschmacksfrei, die scharfe Soße schmeckt leicht scharf, die Zwiebeln sind so mild, dass man nicht mal danach riecht und das Brot ist kein Fladenbrot (mit Sesam), sondern Brot ohne Geschmack. Die Hälfte der Gäste hat nachgesalzen (ich hab stattdessen nen Ayran getrunken).

Hard to say:
Came here twice for gemüse and chicken dürüm…one was 5*… Perfectly seasoned with taste filling.
The second time same dish bit totally different quality. Can’t tell why! Have to give it another try. Maybe I’llask for extra sauce…

Saubere Laden –ziemlich schön gestaltet-​, der einfach Dürüm/​Kebap anbietet.
Dazu sehr schnelle Bedienung.
Der mit Hünchenfleisch Dürüm kostet 3,90 €, der Kebap 3,50 € und die vegetarischen Versionen weniger als 3 €.
Einfach lecker: alle Zutaten smecken, reich an Fleisch und Gemüse, die Jogurtsosse gut dosiert und das Ganze mit Kräuter und Zitron verfeinert.
+: Die Pommes mit Paprika-​Salz (fast rot), unglaublich lecker !

I like to come here just like I want to eat kebap.
Place specializes only in the meat of chicken. Kebap serve with the addition of freshly grilled vegetables and refreshing mint. The meat is very very juicy and what to me terribly important non-​greasy. Sandwich is huge, but after eating the whole I don’t feel fat. One downside to this is the spicy sauce is not spicy.
The restaurant is small and I was full impress that very clear. Kitchen facilities are very well cared.
The staff are very friendly and keep an eye on the queue.

Hier hat sich ein Kollege des berühmten «Mustafa’s Gemüse Kebab» selbstständig gemacht, demnach ist die Qualität und der Geschmack auch entsprechend gut. Hier kann man sich sehr gut für den Pratergarten stärken oder nach dem Prater den Akku nochmal aufladen, um weiterzuziehen.

For 3,90 a durum, or 3,20 a kebap, this is one of the best quick, cheap eat places in Prenzlauerberg. Definitely one of the top Kebab joints I’ve been to in Berlin

This is my absolute favourite quick meal while out. The chicken is flavourful, the veggies are fresh and I just love it all around.

Wenn der Chef nicht da ist, rauscht die Qualität leider oft in den Keller. Das Fleisch wird zu wenig gegrillt und kommt lauwarm und zu dick abgesäbelt über die Theke. Knusprigkeit Fehlanzeige. Zitronenkerne landen im Essen oder der saure Zusatz wird ganz vergessen. Zwiebeln schleichen sich irgendwie immer ein, egal wie sehr man um Verzicht bittet (Tipp: Bratet oder frittiert die Zwiebeln doch vorher. Gefühlte 90% wollen keine rohen Stinker). Hoffentlich klappt die Mitarbeiterschulung in Zukunft besser. Denn wenn alles stimmt, schmeckt es hier ausgezeichnet.

Best Döner down the street. Hohe Qualität, alles frisch und 1aa+ Geschmack. Ranked ganz weit oben auf der Döner Berlin List. Was den Laden zusätzlich auszeichnet? Die Jungs hinter der Theke. Jeder Döner wird mit zubereitet. Die haben verstanden, dass auch bei einen Döner das Auge mit isst. Bravo und weiter so!

It’s extremely difficult for a doner place to set itself apart from the competition — and somehow this place manages to do so. The owner is the nicest guy in the world. They have anything kebab related, vegetarian food and even Turkish hot dishes. Don’t forget to treat yourself to a baklava after eating!

Döner is my favorite thing to eat when I come to Berlin, and this is by far the best döner place in the whole city. All of the ingredients are fresh and high quality, and the service is great too. Just be prepared for a long queue: the secret has obviously gotten out about this place!

Beste Döner der Welt!
Das lange Warten bei Wind und Wetter bei Mustafas Gemüse Kebap hat ein Ende!
Die Besitzer haben Jahre lang bei Mustafa gearbeitet und so gibt es hier den identischen Döner ohne langes Anstehen in einer stylischen Location!
Ihr werdet nie wieder einen anderen Döner essen wollen!

War heute das erste Mal dort und hab den Namenspatron — einen vegetarischen Gemüsekebap — getestet. War lecker; vielleicht eine Spur mehr Joghurtsauce und ein bisschen weniger von der Sojasauce, dann wär’s perfekt (also erst mal 4 Sterne). Das wird sich aber schon noch einspielen.
Das Innere des Lokals ist sehr nett gestaltet. Sitzgelegenheiten aus Europaletten und hohe Decken erzeugen ein leicht Industrie artiges Ambiente.
Dönerbaumeister ist freundlich und wirkt engagiert.
Insgesamt ein guter Laden. Ich komm wieder.
